Amaya couldn't help but laugh half-heartedly at Hargun's bad joke. "Hey Hargun and... nothing really, just been thinking." Her clawed hand closed around the locket and close it before it quickly went back around her neck. "What about you?"

"Ah." Harun eyed the locket and didnt bother to ask what she was thinking about. Lockets=personal, at least to most people she had met.
"Well, exploring.. becomming a new fad to me lately." she picked up a tiny pebble with her foot and iddled wih it as she talked, just for prctice. "It seems a lot of people have been out and about 'just thinking.'"

"Yeah..." Amaya sighed, letting her form hunch over and her arms to drape on her legs once more as she looked down. "Well I..." She paused for a moment, wondering if she could really talk to Hargun seriously. For the most part both of them had never talked seriously and joked around. But... hell, she needed SOMEONE to talk to. "... I saw Cassidy, you know her right?" She left it at that for now, green eyes watching Hargun's toes manipulate the pebble instead of her face.

Hargun nodded. "Hmm-hmm. Only for a little bit. It was back at the cafeteria we all talked wasnt it?" she dropped the pebble and mutterd a swear, then picked it up again.
"I havent seen nor talked to her since then though."

"Yeah, well... I saw her the other day and she... got another injection." Her eyes still refused to look at Hargun's face, finding that looking at the rocks much more comforting right now. "She's loosing her legs and barely has a nose and she's covered in scales and..." Amaya would have kept on rambling but stopped herself and folded her hands together to keep them from shaking. "s**t, I'm scared." She openly admitted.

Hargun looked very disturbed.. not disgusted but actualy afraid just of what Amaya was describing. "R...really she is?" she said, and had a sudden thought of herself loosing everything about herself but snapped out of it quickly.
She honestly didnt know what else to say as Amaya revealed how she felt. She put an hand on Amaya's shoulder. "Hey man.. its.. its gonna be okay.." It was true though, Cass and Amaya were the only people she had met who were turning reptillian, and that meant a LOT of things changing.

Amaya could just nod and look up to give a shaky smile at Hargun before looking back down and letting out a breath that shook more then her hands were at the moment. Her mouth opened to say something more but her voice cracked and she shut it again.
For a good few moments she just sat there, looking down below to regain her voice without starting to cry. "I-... I'm pretty sure I'm not turning into a snake by the look of my feet and hands, but... a lizard isn't very close to human either." Her gloved hands wrung together as she spoke. "They've got a lot of different animal books in the entertainment room, but when I went to look at them I was too scared. As stupid as it sounds I REALLY don't wanna know what the hell is happening to me..."
Ugh, she was such an a**. Here she was whinning about her own problems when Hargun was loosing her ARMS and as far as she knew she got to keep all her limbs.

Hargun tried to return a smile to her shaky friend.
"Entertainment room? Never heard of- Oh nevermind. Well.. you know yer turning into a lizard.. yer afraid to know exactly what yer gonna be...not fun I suppose?" she asked
Oh that was stupid. Of course it wasnt fun.. she was there shaking at her roots!
She reached over and gave Amaya a hug, trying not to poke her with her clingy fingers. "Sorry Amaya. I really am. Hell, if it were possible, Id 'switch' animals with you if you wanted.." she said with a lame toothy grin.

Amaya laughed slightly and returned the hug. "It's alright. I know I really shouldn't whine. I mean, I've still got my legs and arms and your loosing your arms." She winced and frowned a little.

Hargun laughed. "Ah.. yea.. I try to forget that, but its really not that bad. Even though Im loosing my favorite thing to do, Im improvising. It could be a new experience.. and heh.. thats what artists do so.."
She tossed the pebble around a bit and finally chucked it off the cliff, then suddenly looked over, praying nobody was below.
"I.. I hope that doesnt end up hitting someone.." she said, trying to lighten the mood again.

She looked over the edge and laughed. "I highly doubt it, normally no one comes out here that much. Or at least I don't think so." Amaya smiled and leaned back on the rock behind her, closing her eyes for a moment. The energy was starting to drain out of her as the sun set. Green eyes opened and looked to the sunset with a frown. "I do miss being out a night, though." Manuvering her way around, she got into a position to start to climb down. "I'm getting weak, I better start heading back... you coming or staying here for a bit?" She looked up at her batty friend, just now realizing that they were turning into two totally opposite things. Hargun was going to be nocturnal and here she could barely stand sunset.

"Well, I hate to sound like a terd but I kinda want to stay. Sorry.. really. You can understand though, right?" she said, a sympathetic look. "I'm gonna sit and watch the sunset then maybe venture around a little more. Ive gotta blow off all this energy somehow."
She stood up and rubbed the dirt off her pants and watched Amaya get ready to decend.

"Sure, no biggie." Amaya smiled and waved with her fingers before decending down the rocks she had climbed moments before. Once she was at the bottom she looked back up while she walked backwards, this time giving a more proper wave goodbye. "See ya Hargun!" And with that she turned around and vanished into the lush jungle foliage towards her duplex.

Hargun waved in return and shouted down. "See ya too!" then watched her dissappear into the jungle.
I just realized Im going to be out at this time a lot more often than I was during those few days my sleep-schedule was corrupted.. she thought, and sat down to watch the sun set.

Perched in a large tree over looking the cliffs, an aged green parakeet was watching the scene below him with intrest. It seemed a rather large, somewhat malformed example of his bretheren was trying to judge his chances at flying in his current state: he was crouching on the ground at the cliffs' edge, talons dug in firmly and feather-stripped hands gripping the edge. He peered over the side, breathing steadily and taking in the faraway view. The parakeet shook it's head. It was always sad when the big predators got mauled like that without being killed. He'd probably been a graceful, vicous beast before the front half of his wings had been taken from him. Now he attached himself to the ground, trying not to be afraid of the air. Hopefully he wouldn't try to fly. Old birds didn't fancy watching suicides.
Focusing on not hyperventalating in fear at the thought of someday jumping off this very cliff, Greer was unaware of the parakeet's mistaken assessment of her, as well as anything else that might come along at that point. It was a very long way down.
