"Well you should persue your creativity, it's not like we have a lot of other things to do here." Timothy grinned.
"In some ways it's nice, no responsibility... no obligations. But the lack of freedom thing is annoying." he shrugged. "Still, I can't say I was cut out for the job market anyway."
"I'd love to read your writing sometime." Timothy smiled innocently.

"I'd love to share some of my poetry with you... In fact- no, it's a silly idea." Emerwyn didn't think it was silly at all, but what would he think?

"I love poetry" Timothy sat down against a tree.
"I'd love to hear, if your okay and all with it. I started off writing poetry you know." he grinned.

Emerwyn smiled shyly. "Well, there is one, that I'm particularly fond of. I wrote it for my very close friend."
She had never let anyone read it besides her good friends. But she wanted to become more open here. O, I couldn't stand To see the Sun set To see the Oranges close in Over themselves, only to lead To Blackness
O, I couldn't stand To see the Moon set To see the beautiful Blackness Become consumed By the harsh Day
I held my head between my hands To stop my head from spinning 'Round as the world Begins To clear my mind of grief
O, I see it now To see moments pass To see the Life of one Take one step closer to Death
One more step into Life"
She paused, eyes closed, waiting.

"I like it, I bet it would make an awesome song." Timothy pulled out his guitar, and ran the words through his head again.
"Try repeating it, but follow your words to this tune." he began to strum, a tune that would match the flow of the poem well, letting you get a feel for it before repeating the tune.

"Oh... alright." Her original intention was to have him write music for it, but she hadn't expected him to ask her to sing. She had never sang since she'd been in her high school choir. She wasn't that bad at the time, but she wasn't sure how she sounded now. Either way, the melody Timothy played coursed through her. She felt she could have sang with it the first time he played it. Her eyes closing again, she repeated the words, singing with Timothy's guitar. The meanings they once held were reborn, and new ones sprouted forth. The final stanza arrived, and she felt tears welling up as she sang, which only caused her voice to grow stronger. "Oh, I see it now To see moments pass To see the Life of one Take one step closer to Death..." She smiled and knew the words would ring true. Her eyes opened. "One more step into Life"

Timothy waited till you finished singing, then began to clap. "See that was awesome, you've got some real potential."
Emerwyn had a nice voice, in some ways nicer than his own, with some lessons, who knows.
"You should have considered being a musical artist, bet you would have done well." he grinned.

Emerwyn grinned shyly. She wasn't used to getting complemented. She was just glad that he was the only one there. "Thanks..." She started fidgeting with the bark again, and realized she was getting hungry, though her stomach still hurt, and her nerves were making her dizzy. At least, she needed some fluids.

"You okay? I got some water?" Timothy noticed she didn't look so good and reached into his pouch and pulled out a water bottle he'd gotten at the cafeteria.
He extended his arm forward with it. "Want some?"

Emerwyn didn't want to seem to eager. She accepted it gratefully. "Thank you," she said, barely above a whisper. Remembering how to take fluids when she was sick, she took the water in small sips, letting the water course over her tongue slowly. When she felt she'd gotten some of her strength back, she spoke to Timothy. "I'm sorry if I'm intruding, but, did you do music professionally... back where you came from?" She was tentative; she wasn't sure if he didn't like to talk about his past life. "You are very good."

"Sort of planned to, but no, I just graduated high school." Timothy shrugged and looked down getting nervous again.
"I sort of... wanted to write love songs... or more songs about love found then lost. But I didn't even know what love felt like." Timothy kicked the dirt reverting a bit more to his old self when stuff like this came up.

Love found, then lost... That meant a lot to Emerwyn. She could tell him novels-worth about that.... "I'm beginning to think that love is better not felt... It hurts to much when it's lost..." Emerwyn didn't mean to say that out loud. She could see the conversation ebbing away. Timothy was looking at the ground nervously. She was also afraid of what she said. She wanted to hide, too. She didn't know she felt that way. Had she lost hope already?

"Listen, it's been awesome chit chatting with you. Maybe we can work on songs together in the future." he grinned.
"But... I think I want some time alone now, going to think about my music, my life, and my love." he half smiled here and patted Emerwyn's shoulder.
"Thanks and all..." then he started to wander off.

Emerwyn was glad he decided to take the initiative to leave. She was still feeling awkward about what she said. She couldn't believe how much she was expressing herself here. It must be something in the air... She sat down again, resuming munching on her bark, humming her's and Timothy's song softly.

------------- start of new rp -------------
Stir crazy again, Lauren decided to go exploring through the jungle. She doned some trail clothes, a canteen, and a machedi to cut away the overgrowth she came across.
A tall tree caught her eye as Lauren tried to conquer it. She climbed upwards and rested on a branch above the trail she had followed as she took a swig from her canteen. She wondered if she could reach the top and see the whole island just from that tree.
Shrugging that off as an impossibility, Lauren hung upside down letting the blood rush to her head.
