Atem laughed with her. She was so fun to be around and she always had him smiling or laughing. "I have some lyrics in mind because I have inspiration to work off of," Atem complimented. He could sublimitally compliment her in a loving way. If anyone said anything, he could always play it off and make it seem less then it is. "I guess I have to practice more in air hockey now," he said as well.
Joey grinned his teeth. "Well excuse me Mr. High and Mighty! And I did say anything to you- you started talking to me!" he said with an attitude. Even when he doesn't start anything Kaiba has to start a fight.
"Yay! Your Grandpa gets the weirdest stuff! That's why I like it so much," she said. Her eyes darted quickly through each shelf as they walked through. "I used to love mouse trap when I was little. I thought the whole trap thing was cool. Though I would only play it one way everytime. I was four and almost OCD like," she laughed and joked. There were multiple games from her childhood she saw that reminded her of her childhood. "Yugi, what was your favorite childhood game?" she asked.

Sam blushed at the compliment and moved a little closer to him subconciously. She laughed a little. "You'll need to practice a lot to be able to beat me!" She bragged playfully. They arrived at the ice cream parlor and Sam looked around at all the couples. She felt like they were on a date and it felt great. She never felt like this with Joey.
"You dont have to say anything, just the sight of you discusts me..." Seto insulted. Extream denile was a ugly thing. He couldnt help but just get angry when he saw the blonde. Why, he didnt know. Maybe because it was Sam's boyfriend? He definately wanted them to break up but not because of the obvious reason.
Yugi laughed. She was so adorable he could barely hold himself back from just wrapping his arms around her. And she loved games! just like him! Yugi was convinced she was the perfect girl. "My favorite game?" He repeated, looking at all the games on the shelves. He had played almost all of them and so much more through his life. "Well, I guess my favorite was the millenium puzzle, if you can consider it a game. It took me eight years to put together. And it was a reall challenge but I finally won, and I got a great prize too." He said dreamally. He missed wearing the puzzle but it was Atem's now.

Atem also took notice of the couples at the parlor. It made him yearn to hold Sam, hold her hand, and just show affection. He raised an eyebrow playfully and smirked, "Oh really? If I don't watch out- you could become the Queen of Games." He looked up at the flavor list. There was a lot. He didn't know where to start. He prefered soft ice cream then hard- he found he was more likely to get a brain freeze with hard ice cream. "What flavor do you want?" he asked her.
Joey became very frustrated with him. How could he be such a jerk? He was fed up. "Like your any better to look at," he snapped back. He didn't mean it, but he was done trying to be nice. The fact he had to be as mean as him back bothered him- it upset him.
"I never knew it took you eight years to put it together!" she said shocked. "It's the puzzle your brother wears right? You really kept at it. I would have just given up," Akiko add with admiration. "I didn't want anything to do with puzzles when I was younger. Perfection scared me as a kid and I thought all puzzles would make that loud sound if I didn't do it fast enough. Stupid Perfection...." she said. "My cousin got me into puzzles, but I can't do them very well," she said. She looked at him with a curious look, "What was your prize? Can I know?" She was very curious now.

"Oh yeah right, my brother..." Yugi said sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. He would have to tell her the truth about that sooner or later. BUt now he just wanted to enjoy his time alone with her. He laughed at what she said about the puzzles. He thought it was pretty cute. "Well if you ever need any help with a puzzle I can help you." He offered kindly, just wanting to have another excuse to spend time with her. He thought about his wish. It was hard to explain. He made a wish on the puzzle for true friends and he got Atem and met the rest of them. It may nto seem like a prize but it was the best prize in his eyes. "Well this probably sounds stupid but I made a wish on the puzzle for true friends... and then I met all of you... so youre my prize." he said shyly, his face turning red as a small smile spread on his face.
"Hmph. I bet you like to look at me, wheeler. Just admit it, I'm better looking then you." He said arrogantly, looking back at the tv with a snobby look on his face, pretending to not have too much intreast in the blonde even though his full attention was on Joey.
Sam giggled. "Yup, I'll be youre queen!" She said and then blushed, placing a hand on her mouth embarressedly. She hadnt meant it like that, well not really. She looked up at the ice cream flavors. "I'll have vanilla, with sprinkles..." She said, quickly changing the subject.

Akiko blushed a bit as well. It felt nice to have somebody call you a prize. He made her feel important and worth something. Seto made her feel unimportant, he probably didn't mean to but that's how she feels. She looked away and smiled, shy because she couldn't hide her big smile. Looking back at him she replied, "It's not stupid, it's a good wish! Friends are important! You know, I'm glad I met you Yugi." She then playfully put her hand to the side of her face as if whispering, "Don't tell anybody, but your my favorite!" she said jokingly but only to cover how true it was. "So where are we going to watch the movie?" she asked. She was slightly embarassed admitting she liked him more then the others, so she tried to change the subject quick.
Joey blushed dramatically. "No I don't!!!" he yelled out in a fit. He was in denial and was displaying anger towards his confussion. He walked inbetween Seto and the television. He put on hand on his hip and the other pointed at Kaiba. Joey leaned over a bit and yelled, "You're not all that Kaiba!!! Stop stroking your ego!" Joey then straightened up and crossed his arms. Looking away he insulted Kaiba, "And if your so hot, why isn't your girlfriend all over you?" He refused to edit anything he thought.
Atem blushed a bit. Did she really say that? Did she mean it? He wished both were yes. He just looked at her with wanting eyes, until a worker asked for his order as well. "Umm..... uh.... a cup of soft choclate," he said snapping out of it. He wanted to say that she was his queen, but knew he couldn't. He smiled at her, showing her everything was ok. More then anything, he wanted to hold her hand or wrap his arm around her. "Oh, and a cup of swirl," he also ordered for Joey. "I can serenade for you outside when we get our ice cream," he now reminded her.

Seto rolled his eyes again as Joey talked. "Because its only been three days that we've been together. Unlike you I give people their personal space. And what about you? Where's Sam now? You've been dating for weeks and still act like just friends..." He pointed out.
Yugi's face turned even redder when she said he was her favorite. He knew she was just joking but he wished she really meant it. But her favorite person was probably her boyfriend. Yugi frowned a little and snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh um, the living room..." He said. He walked through a door to get from the cardshop to the livingroom. "Grandpa?" He called into the house but got no response. "He must not be home..." He said and went over to the tv, getting the movie and starting it.
"A cup of vanilla with sprinkles please." Sam ordered, still feeling embarressed. She felt a little better when he smiled at her and when he reminded her about the serenading. She smiled and laughed a little. "ok, I cant wait." She said excitedly. They got their ice cream and she paid. She hated to make other people pay when Seto had tons of money that he;ll never spend.

"At least we get along!!!" Joey yelled. God damn Seto made him so angry he couldn't take it. What was Seto getting at? Probably because Sam was his sister. He couldn't even pretend to like him? Even if Seto just ignored him they would be better off, but no. He had to bust his balls all the time, everytime. "Maybe if you weren't such a hard a** people would like you more Seto!" he added.
"Aw, no G-pap today?" she said giving Grandpa his own nickname. She usually did this, whether she used the nicknames or not. She had to figure out more names for her friends. Akiko sat on the couch and waited for him to set it up. She had already taken off her high-top shoes at the door. She sat indian style and waited. She hoped she herself didn't get scared, she had an active imagination that would make her feel scared in situations for no reason- like being in the dark or such.
Atem looked at her, "Oh, I was going to pay for them. I was supposed to take you out, remember?" He said. He knew it was seto's money they had plenty of it, but he wanted to show that he could pay for them as well. The ice creams were made and Atem took them. He handed Sam hers and held his and Joey's. "Come on," he said as he walked out the door and outside the parlor- he might as well sing now before he ate the ice cream.

"But you lost the bet so therefore I can pay." She said, sticking her tongue out at him playfully, reminding him she won. She followed him out. She looked around. It was a good thing he remembered Joey's ice cream cause she had forgotten all about her boyfriend for a little while. She ate a spoonfull of her ice cream. "Ready?" She asked cheerfully.
"why would I want that? So I can be around people like you? No thanks." Seto said. "People are selfish and will hurt you to get what they want. Thats why you cant trust anyone and you have to look out for only yourself." He said as if speaking from bad expiriences. "Anyway, you and Sam barely even act like a couple so just break up already!" He made it sound like he just didnt want Joey and his sister together but thats because he wanted Joey with him.
"He's probaby at the museum again..." Yugi said and sat down next to her once the movie started. He took a deep breath. he couldnt look scared in front of her. Yugi was brave when he had to be like when he stood up for Joey and tristen but scary movies just freaked him out. But luckily his mind was a little destracted. Akiko was right her next to him and they were all alone. Maybe he should tell her how he feels. He shook his head. He could never risk their friendship like that.
((maybe Yugi and Akiko can get into an argument about Yugi wanting her to break up with Kaiba after the movie?))

Atem looked around as well. Not that he was embarassed to..... well- the fact that he was singing was embarassing, but the fact that it was to Sam wasn't. "Alright, here we go," he said with a large amount of blush on his face. He got down on one knee and put his ice cream on the ground (since it was in a cup) and cleared his throat. He just thought about Sam and the words poured from his heart.

The blushed remained on his face and he looked away from her. He was embarassed, what would she think?
"Really? That sounds a lot like you Seto, aren't you just using Akiko!?" Joey said in response. Joey kept pounding the subject of him and Akiko. It might have been because that was his friend, but it was more because he wanted Seto. But he didn't know that, he denied it and rejected the subliminal idea. "And at least I'm happy Seto!" he added.
The movie started with a creepy scream. Akiko hated that- those sudden screams. She jumped from it and winced quietly. Then she looked up and laughed about it. "Stupid cheep scares!" she joked. She looked at Yugi and smiled she drifted slightly into a bit of a day dream, she thought how nice it would be to rest her head on his shoulder........ wait what!? She blinked, why did she just think that? She couldn't do that! She was going out with somebody and Yugi was his friend.
[[Yea I was thinking that, during or after the movie. Also, the song Atem sang was a song from Foreigner the song is "Girl on the Moon"]]

Sam blushed as he got down on his knee and started singing beautifull words to her. And in her mind she thought it was real, that he loved her. But she knew they were just friends and that made her heart ache. If it wasnt for the constant reminder that Joey was her boyfriend she would have wrapped her arms around him and kissed him without a doubt. While he sang she kept eye contact with him. Her knees felt weak and she wished she was sitting down. She waited for him to stand back up before she hugged him quickly. "Thanks I loved it..." She said in his ear happily.
"Why would you think that mutt?" Seto said, narrowing his eyes. How did Joey know he was just using her? Its not like it mattered but he was curious as to Joey's reasons for assume such. "Are you really Joey? If you were really happy you wouldnt be letting what I say get to you so easily. Unless of course its just because you know what I say is true..." He said logically while smirking.
Yugi's eyes had widened and he jumper a little himself from the screem. He moved a little closer to her, using the movie as an excuse just to be closer to her. He smiled at her. Maybe she hadnt noticed him jump? Good. He didnt want her to think he was a whimp or anything. "Dont worry Akiko, I'm right here to protect you." He said proudly.

The next thing he knew, Sam had wrapped her arms around him. He completely froze, only his heart moved quickly. He couldn't hesitate. He had to take his one and only opportunity. He took one arm and wrapped it around her lightly. God did he want her. Every word he sang was true from his heart. But he just thought Sam thought they were just words. But she thanked him, she hugged him. Did she enjoy the song? Did it mean something to her? Atem wanted to think so, he was believing it. But he wouldn't completely believe it- this would prevent him from heartbreak. But he needed to hug her back, and wasn't ashamed for doing so.
Joey was a bit tongue tied. Why was he so mad? He was happy, he had to have been happier then Seto. But Seto did upset him, and it did get to him easily. "Wha..... What do you mean?" he said sounding a bit defeated. He then looked up at him and said, "I'm happy, but not when you treat me like I'm nothing. Nobody likes that!" he justified. He felt himself becoming more upset then angry.
Akiko blushed a bit and smiled. She wasn't sure what to say right away to Yugi's response. She thought of things but she thought her responses were taking his saying out of context. She really wanted to ask if he would always. But she couldn't ask that, and she would ask of him to do so. She was stubborn, just slightly, and believed she could protect herself. Perhaps because being protected can bring the people you love down. She slumped down in her seat a bit, still wanting to lean on him but had to trick her body in thinking it was.

Sam pulled away soon after. She just couldnt help herself when Joey wasnt around. She suddenly felt ashamed. She had a boyfriend and here she was, practically on a date with his best friend and hugging him. But it was just a friend hug right? She figured thats what he assumed but she felt like it was more. She sighed a little. She took a spoonfull of her ice cream and ate it so she wouldnt have to say anything.
"If you had no doubts that you werent nothign then you would have no problem ignoring my comments. But instead you get defensive. If it wasnt true you wouldnt have to defend yourself right?" Seto said witha smirk. He laughed a little. Joey's pain was his own amusment. "So whats wrong?" He asked. "Something troubling you?"
Yugi blushed a little too. She didnt take that the wrong way right? He dindt want her to think he was weird... He tried to focous on the movie but all he could think about was what she thought of him and what she saw in Kaiba. Didnt he treat her better? Wouldnt she choose him over Kaiba?

[[Yea, we'll skip. I was thinking Sam only sees the kiss- Atem we'll walk her to the door and that's it- he won't see it. Thus still thinking he has no chance]]
Pulling away, Atem smiled softly. The hug was just enough but not enough at the same time. He wanted to take her into his arms and never let go, but he couldn't. Joey was the only one who could do that for her. And he didn't- Atem wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing. Good because he never saw it, bad because Sam deserved love. He grabbed his ice cream and took a bite himself. His eyes closed from the coldness in his mouth. He looked at Joey's ice cream. "We should bring that to him before it melts. We can eat these on the way," he said. He should probably bring her back home anyway- before anybody thought anything of this. Plus, guilt was setting in- he shouldn't have done this but he just had to.
"Maybe because I care what others think! I know I'm something, but you misjudge me and that's what upsets me!" Joey grinded his teeth and growled. "And you know what Seto? I'm really just starting to despise you. I've practically bent backwards to be nice to you and to be friendly, but I'm just losing intrest in having any friendship with you," Joey added. His stomach turned as he said it but it was true.
The movie was over, Akiko felt pretty creeped out. Damnit! Why did she have to agree to a horror movie? She knew she had to walk home. "That was creepy AND freaky," she said slightly pale in the face. There were multiple times they both jumped from shock. She sat up and stretched a bit. Looking back at Yugi, she didn't hear a response. He seemed to be thinking about something. "Yugi? You ok?" she asked him and got his attension.

"Well why wont you just leave me alone then?!" Seto yelled at him. He was a little worked up over hearing Joey say he despised him. He always thought Joey hated him but hearing it right from him felt different. But it was better if Joey stayed away from him. Then these ridiculous feeling will go away.
Yugi snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh the movie's over?" He asked. He couldnt even say what happened in the movie. He focoused on certain parts and still got scared as hell during the intense scenes but other then that he hadnt really been paying attention. "So, did you like it?" He asked. "Do you and Kaiba ever wagtch movies together?" He asked kind of randomly.
sam nodded. "We should hang out more often... just the two of us..." She commented quietly. She ate another spoonfull of her ice cream. Just because she and Joey were dating didnt mean she couldnt be close friends with Atem right? She felt guilty even though she was trying to convince herself it was ok.

"You started it!!!" he yelled slightly louder then Seto and much more childishly. Joey was swaying back and forth from anger to being upset. He was running out of come backs and felt he was being broken down.
"Yea I liked it, it was just creepy though," she said with a smile. The smile disappeared when Yugi mentioned Seto. "Um.... no..... not really," she said. She thought they would have spent a lot of time together- the day he asked her out he seemed very interested in her. The only logical thing she could think of was that he was just busy. Her eyes gazed away, as if embarrassed her own boyfriend didn't spend time with her. She opened her mouth to say something but shut it. She wanted to say that he didn't seem interested in spending time with her but thought it to be too irrational to say and too personal.
Atem agreed almost instantly, "Yes, I think we should too." He felt relieved that he at least wanted to hang out with just him. It was probably just as friends but as long as it was time spent. They were almost to Kaiba mansion. Their time was almost up and it made him feel a bit sad- a bit lonely.
