"I don't know... As far back as I can remember but that's not very far back. I have no memory before I started wandering. I always bushed them off or slept them off... which I should probably do now." She started walking away. Then she turned back.
"Who's going to teach me to use magic?" she said thoughtfully. "Unless of course one of you is voulenteering?"

"Well how nice of you. I am going to sleep right now so I'll see you later." and with that she started off to find a tree she could sleep in for the night.
A mage? Amy what have you gotten yourself into now?

Jax turned to Shorin. "you're going to train her? what if she finds out...."
Shorin waved for his silence. "have no fear. nothing bad will happen to her."

she found a large oak tree to climb and rested on a low branch. She didn't think she could sleep so she just sat there thinking.
A mage? Well I never knew what the other half of my blood was. And why would Shorin, someone with his own agenda offer to help me learn magic? Out of the goodness of his own heart or for his own benefit? what part do I play?
Because the thoughts were disturbing and she had nothing better to do, She practiced fireing her crossbow, making the design of a rose in darts on the tree opposite the one she was in.

Shorin moved out to the trees, sighing. he knew that the girl was there, but didn't let it show. "huh. what was the likelihood of finding a fledgling mage?"

Amethyst saw Shorin walk into the forest, but didn't react to him. She didn't want to give herself away. Or wouldn't have if her need for information hadn't betrayed her.
All knowledge is worth having She raised her voice over the one in her head.
"You don't even know my name. You could've left me the way I was and ignored it. I wouldn't have cared. So my question to you is why. Why and what. Why would you help someone you don't know and what do you want with me?"
She stayed where she was. No need to show herself. Chanes are he already knew.

he lifted his hand, and a bird landed on his finger. it chirped at him. "because it is my wish to help all who need it, if no evil will come of it. i know you are good, in a way. you are a half elf. shunned by the elves, and by most others." he whispered something, so low as to be barely heard. he then continued talking normally. "I want to help you, because i might be the only one who can and would do it only out of the kindness of my heart."

"There are other magic teachers out there that you could have sent me to. So I ask again: What do you want with me?"
He must want something. The thought was infuriating that he would help her on his own when there are so many others who he could send her to. Finally she gave iin to the thought that maybe there were people that didn't want to use anything they could.
This could have benefits to it... you never know! She thought optimistically.
She sighed loudely.
"Nevermind. I'm begining to forget my manners. Thank you."

With that she started deeper into the forest with the crossbow.

"I am not staying in the temple, by the way. I don't like temples."
She sat down where she stood and tryed to think over her headache. Not easy.
