HI, my name is Victoria, and i am 19 years old. i currently live in northern canada and im reall interested in japan. I have been there once already and i am going again this June for a month plus a week (june 2006) ... hopefully in september 2007 i will be able to go for a whole year.
Im really interested in their culture, language, and anime haha.
Before i go to Japan, i want to learn what i can so that im not utterly hopeless. I know somethings already like numbers...not a whole lot, but i know a lil past 100 i believe. Anyways, so as i said, i know some japanese already and wish to learn more.
anyways, like i said i love anime, i watch it whenever i can. i have seen many different ones and i watch it dubbed and subbed as well, and when i know japanese, i will not have to read cause i wil understand waht they are saying by listening.
thats lots about me, if anyone wants to talk, feel free to PM me
EDIT: After reading a few peoples attempt at japanese, i know mine is less than perfect hahah but for a few words id like to correct some of them (im not being mean its just easier when u make a mistake and someone corrects it) good afternoon / hello is Konnichiwa (people only put one n..there is 2) good morning is ohayou gozaimasu nice to meet you = hajimimashite.. doozo yoroshiku
sorry but please dont take offence, im just trying to help people learn. you cant learn hiragana and katakana if you cant do romaji or spell the basics right first. (Also writing it out how you think it sounds is not a good idea)

Hi I'm Amabecy or Ama for short, and I've been interested in Japan since 8th grade. Around this time I got interested in the fashion and music, and I'm not that interested in anime anymore as I was back then. I also recently started learning Japanese, online mostly since I don't have a way here. In the future I hope to actually go to Japan one day.

Hey --
My name's Jess. I've been teaching myself Japanese for over two years, now...and just about two months ago enrolled in a night class for beginners of the language. It's a whole lot of fun, but really difficult. I plan to continue taking classes after this one ends, and eventually would like to interpret and/or teach English to Japanese students someday.
Thanks for reading! *takes a bow* m(_ _)m

Hiya all! My name's Sango and I'm fourteen. Atleast, I think I still am fourteen.. Anyway, I love Anime and Japan. heart whee heart I've been trying to learn Japanese, but, of course, all I could learn was 'Watashi wa Sango desu.' and 'Gomen Nasai' and 'Domo Origato.' *Sighes.* I don't even know if I got them right.. Currently, I'm a homeschool student. But, I'm planning on going to highschool.. Mummy dearest says it'll be good for my confidence. Not that I need any confidence boosts. 3nodding That was irrevalent.. Heh heh. Well, that's about all I have to say.

Konnichiwa! Watashi no namae was Bloodstainedshadow desu! (Hello! My name is Bloodstainedshadow!) That's one of the only sentences I can say in Japanese. There are a few others I can do, but not much at all...Of course, I do know a bunch of random words and kanji... Anyway, I'm 15 years old (16 in the summer) and I love anime. My favorite anime (so far) is Fushigi Yuugi by my favorite artist of all time, Yuu Watase. I'm an artist, a martial artist, a musician, and, of course, a college-bound high school student.

My name's Ninon. It's French, derived from Nina. My parents are obviously French, so English is my second language, though I speak English much better because I've been going to English school all my life (save preschool- it was bilingual). I have my English firneds pronounce it NEE-no, it's easier...
Anywho. Before I got accepted, I was lurking about and managed to print off the Hiragana 'alphabet'. I want to learn how to write in hiragana and speak Japanese. I'm 13, though, and I already have a good start. I might get one or two friends to join, I know they'd love to learn too...
I like Naruto and FMA, reading, computer games, video games, blah blah blah. That's it.

Greetings,
My name is Raven and I am 18-years-old. I've been interested in Japanese culture since my youthful otaku days. Now I'm more interested in the culture then the animations. :3 I love learning about ancient Japanese history and mythology. I would also love to learn the language. I don't know how many times I've tried. I hope I can find someone to help me keep ontrack. x3

Hookay, here goes! So, I'm Sudenkorento, from Finland. If someone wants to call me by a nickname, please don't say Suden, Say Sid. Because Sid sounds cooler and suden sounds really weird because it's a PART of a wole word. I'll stop blabbering now. I'm a real die-hard otaku, but not a very expirienced one. I don't know much about the japanese culture, but I'm willing to learn. I'm also trying to learn the language, but I'm a really bad learner, and so my vocabulary isn't really large, just something like pantsu, waingarasu, enpitsu and other completely random words. You should never take me too seriously and.. just ignore the most stupid comments and try to imagine me not being a total idiot sometimes. I might be weird, but not on purpose. Right. Oh, yeah. My real name is Jade, and I'm half finnish half africa, and I have two dogs and I like swimming but I've permanently lost my swimming suit. That's all. Sorry.

Hello,
Wow. I feel so....uneducated. lol. Everyone here has a cool introduction. Teehee.
Anyway, my name is Nancy. I just turned nineteen six days ago or technically 7 days ago since it's 12:02am here. I'm from Canada.
My interest for anime clicked when I was in grade 3. When Sailor Moon just came out. I remember having the cards and every recess me and my friends would meet in the playground to trade our cards. I never had alot because I didn't have money to buy them and my mom never gave me money to buy them. I normally watched the others trade until one of my oriental friends gave me some cards to start off. She was an angel. Her name was Jackie and I don't remember if she was Chinese or Japanese or even Philpino. Sorry about my spelling.
That is how my interest grew even more. I watched Sailor Moon whenever I could. I never watched alot of t.v when I was a kid. Drawing and reading was what I did. So when I couldn't watch the show, I would draw anime characters and make up some of my own.
Then Cybersix came out. I LOVED that show. Alot of people where all like that isn't anime, but we all have our own opinion. They discontinued it though. Jerks.
I've tried a couple times to teach myself to read and learn Japanese but never had the time, school, work and other daily life routines. Teehee.
Inuyasha. THAT was what made my love for anime even stronger. This is my favorite anime of all time. Miroku, Sesshoumaru, Koga...all the guys in this anime are gorgeous. lol.
This is turning into a novel. Anyway, I'm super grateful you accepted me and thanks.
Bye for now!! xp
