((Just catching up with Liam - I really got overexcited with Anne yesterday... sweatdrop ))
Liam was struggling hard to keep all the ogres blind, but it was proving to be too hard; every once in a while, a couple of them moved out of sight or his energy just didn't suffice He gave her best, though...until a beast that had just escaped his black cloud turned and fired its bow at Josh.
The Shadow Caster's heart seemed to drop; the boy was hurt, and it was because of him. He descended from the tree, running towards him, but was caught midway by a huge ogre. Grabbing the daggers he had inside the jacket sleeves, he prepared himself o fight through them. The idea made his stomach roll. His three months stay at the military academy had made him realize he was not one made for fighting; just the fought of it made his stomach revolve.
But he couldn't dwell on it; the other was approaching, swinging its club heavily. Liam's weapons were no match, but he gave his best, dodging the blows, testing his amazing new speed, until the beast was frustrated and breathing heavily. Then, it decided enough was enough and made a particularly nasty blow at Liam's side that made contact, making him gasp for breath. Blinded by pain, he charged his opponent, who was so startled it dropped the club. The two engaged in a rustic hand-to-hand fight, Liam with his small daggers, the ogre with its jaws and claws.

Namine could hear the clashing of weapons and the grunts escaping both parties. She was getting mighty tired of these so called ogres. She was flushed from the battle. She was locked in combat with one ogre. There weapons were locked together and neither one wanted to give way. Namine jumped back and withdrew an ornament in her hair. She send the dagger flying to pierce the ogres heart. The beast fell over, a look of shock on his face. She didn't have time to celebrate as another ogre rushed at her. She spun her trident in a full circle creating some sort of shield. The weapons it tried to used had no affect and soon he was frustrated and seemingly more pissed. She saw her chance and quickly stopped the trident plunging it into the creatures abdomen. Yet she hadn't noticed the other ogre flanking her. He slashed at her from behind and caught her leg opening a gash. She hadn't reacted quickly enough. Her trident was still embedded in the abdomen of the other ogre and she thought for sure she was done for. Not the case..somehow she called out to the dagger without words and it ran right throught the ogre before her. Namine was shocked and rolled out of the way just as the body fell forward. "s**t im hurt" she said. She called the trident once more and leaned on it for support. She couldn't stop to patch herself up. The ogres would not give her a time out nor was this a videogame she could pause. She eyed the field wearily for the next attacker. "Darn I really need to staunch the flow." Her blood was trailing from her leg and strangely enough it was blue.

Star had fought the ogres as well, only taking a wound to her left shoulder. It was bleeding, and was definatly NOT a surface wound. Star slumped over to where Anne, Josh, Kiyoko, and Tim. She sat down and curiously eyed her wound, before turning her attention to the four. "First fight feels good...way better then middle school fights, in which I was in the middle of." Star smiled at everyone.

Timmy smiled wryly at the girl who had just joined them. "Not exactly what I'd call better of anything." He looked down at his open hand and closed it into a fist. "But I guess if you ignore the blood and brain matter over the ground..." He pushed down the mental image, not wanting to lose anymore meals today, and looked up. "Then I guess it was kind of cool. The way we're all suddenly these great-" He barely stopped himself from saying 'killers', "- fighters."

"I guess so." Star said, standing up once more. She streched, not really feeling the pain in her shoulder.

((Wait there's still ogers?? Nvm guess I'll attempt to make a comeback.))
Nikol eyed the group. A laugh escaped her as she watched the battle. "Looks like you guys could use a lil help, eh?" Her model side was kicking in, and she began to strut towards them as if on a catwalk. Then it turned to a sprint which led to flying. That's when she felt it. At first she figued she didn't have powers or weapons just wings, but oh boy was she wrong! Somehow her hand managed to grab hold of what felt like cool metal. When she looked down she grinned. In her possesion now was a spiked-chain whip. She decied to put it to use and began attacking taking down one ogre and going after another.
((I'll do Rose's post when I get home. I'm gunna be late for school))

Star sat down beside Tim and since she was back in the shade, Star made the darkness that was above her head disappear. Star looked from each of the members in the group. That Tim guy is kinda cute.... Star thought to herself.

((Just a side-note Star, all those done fighting the ogres aren't posting anymore because we are giving others a chance for some action, which would then mean that you couldn't see Nikol go off to battle because that would end up creating a time paradox))

Rose's outgoing side had just died right there and then. She knew this wasn't a dream anymore. One wrong move and she could end up dead. Now it was time to put a shell around herself and fight inside it. With a calm face, she stood up and tightened the strip on the coffin and looked up at the ogres. There was two of them and one was about to attack Nikol. What made her angry though, was that it would be a cheap shot. Nikol was practically blinded and couldn't see, and it was about to attack from behind! Her hands began to heat up and she looked down. Flames licked around one hand and a small wiry smile appeared on her face. She was able to conjure fire! "Not to shabby..." Her red eyes seemed to glow brighter and she shot fire at the ogre. It fell down and she attacked another. A few minutes later, there were three on the ground. "You okay?" She asked Nikol.
She knew there was something behind her. The smell was giving her headache. Just as she turned around, white blocked out her vision and she couldn't see at first. It was like she was blind which, technically she kinda was. After a few minutes the white blotch in her vision disappeared and she saw three ogres on the ground. Not to mention she heard a voice. "Fine. Thanks." She was about to turn around when another snuck up behind Rose. She cracked the whip and a spike drove into its arm. Pulling back on it, the thing stumbled a few feet. She snapped the whip again, with a little spin added in, and it wrapped around it's throat digging the spikes in and leaving chain marks. It made a sickening gurgling noise as she yanked the whip free. "Gotta be aware of your surroundings kid." She grinned.

((thank you, surf_dude. so, I think everyone had a taste of action by now...Nikol, you can still finish up, don't worry. ^_^ )) The fight with the ogre soon became dirty. Liam was having quite a hard time, struggling to fend off his foe. They were grabbing each other, clasped together so closely that the boy received the beasts' foul breath right on his face.
He was starting to win over some terrain, forcing the ogre to walk backwards, when with a gasp and a shudder, he felt himself tossed over. His opponent had tripped and fell, but didn't let go of the boy, who fell upon him.
Still fighting, the two rolled on the ground. Liam felt the hard rock floor add to his already bruised body, but his attention was focused on keeping the ogre's hands from reaching his throat.
He didn't even noticed the small ravine their rolling was leading them to, not until they fell. Liam landed hard on his back, the ogre on him, strangely heavy and limp. Then, the boy felt a thick liquid gulfing onto his hands. In the fall, he had somehow pierced the beast's throat with his dagger, and was now trapped under the immense weight.
By the time he managed to crawl from under the ogre, he was drenched in its blood, and his whole body hurt. He had a multitude of wounds, bruises, and even bitemarks. Limping, trying hard to keep from passing out from the pain, exhaustion and shock. the boy climbed the small ravine to find the place filled with scattered ogre's corpses. He sighted a few people resting under a tree, and attempted to walk towards them, but he didn't manage to go over two steps. Falling down, he felt his conscience slip away.
Anne had stayed silent, eyes closed, as everyone approached. The tiredness swept over her in waves, and the foul smells of battle still clang to her skin. Still, she couldn't help but to notice and store the different reactions to the fight. She felt bad for Tim, who was obviously quite affected.
"You'd be amazed at what people are able to do when in mortal peril." She opened her eyes to face him trying to shove off the small stars and shadows which blurred her vision.
Then she caught movement out of the corner of her eye and turned to see what was it. Out of a small depression of terrain, Liam had come up, half walking half crawling, his jacket literally dripping blood. He didn't seem to be hurt, but she wasn't surprised when he crashed down on the floor.
"I had been wondering where he had gone to..." The girl sighed, her own exhaustion making her decide on letting him rest for the moment.

Timmy went from his kneeling position to on his back, lying on the soft grass. Small clouds drifted slowly across the sky past the sun that was already drifting toward the west. Funny, he thought idly, The world doesn't look so different from this position. He turned his head to look at the people who were just coming in, many looking exhausted or beat. A few looked strangely elated, and that creeped Tim out a little. He'd never killed anything besides bugs in his life, and to kill a thinking thing... He stopped thinking about it and looked back up at the sky. A cool breeze wafted past his face and he breathed it in deep. He realized it was probably the cleanest smelling wind he had ever breathed. No smog or litter smell. This place isn't so bad... Know what? He thought with sudden resolve. I'm going to enjoy this. I'm in a completely new world that no one else from ours has ever been in. Do you even comprehend the freakin' unbelievability of it?! He closed his eyes, the possibilities swirling around in his head. So what if maybe I'll have to do some... things. I'm not going to throw-up again, that's for sure. As he began to doze, he couldn't help but think, Well, hopefully I won't.
(( EDIT: We're Level 2! ))

((Yay! We did it! *dances*))
Kiyoko continued to lay upon the ground, purely exhausted and weakened from the battle. She lifted her head slightly as the others returned, battle scarred and wounded. She was worried for them, but she didn't even know how Josh faired out; she had to leave him quickly to avoid drawing attention to him. She lay her head on the soft grass again. So this is what it feels like, to fight, to win, to kill..... she felt her stomach give a lurch, but she ignored it. It was all out of self-defense, there was no religion that went against that fact. She shuddered; she hoped that thought was right. Heh, too bad they weren't near an inn. That'd be too much like a game RPG...this was her last thought before she fell asleep on the grass, panda clutched in her hand like a child with a favorite toy, and her staff beside her.

((Booyah!))
Josh was still propped up against the tree trunk, hoping he had something to dumb down the pain exploding from his arm. The bark didn't feel too good against the wound (although the skin is covered due to Kiyoko) and just increased the pain. It felt good to relax though and to get away from the battle and fear of making a false move followed by an instantaneous death, and the thought of that - along with the accompanied exhaustion - were solely enough to overpower the immanent pain that would be sure to come.
The big, puffy clouds floated aimlessly overhead. They captivated Josh. He ended up wondering, Where exactly are we? Things here look exactly the way they should at home: the grass, the sky, the clouds, the plants. Well, minus the ogres, the angles, the demons, the mermaids and the elves... Gravity seems to be the same - could it be different?? I guess that Physics seem the same, but I don't really know much about that topic anyways, so how should I know?
Josh closed his eyes, bowed his head and began grasping around - in his mental state - for those powers that Anne swore were present.
