Akki smiled as she pulled her hand away, turning over to swim for shore. Nearing the edge, she stood up and turned to wait for Kalan.

After rolling over and swimming for shore he got up at Akki's feet, "Akki..." He said with this best puppy face, "Food for Kalan? Mum left some food but not nearly as good as yours."

Following after, Kalan fell onto his towel and rolled to his side to watch Akki.

Akki slipped her coverup on before turning to the basket. Opening the lid, she took out a napkin and carefully wrapped her small heart-stone and slipped it into her pocket. Pulling out plates, she laid out sandwiches, cheese, pickles and crackers, handing Kalan a plate with a smile before filling her own.

Nibbling on the cheese, Kalan smiled and waited for Akki to start eating before speaking, "Thank you, love. This was a brilliant idea."

Akki smiled, moving to sit closer to Kalan. "I'm glad we came, its nice here with you."

Wrapping a free arm around her shoulder and eating his sandwich, Kalan softly knocked heads with her. "It's nice here with you too, love."

Akki leaned against him, kissing his cheek before picking up her sandwich.

"So, " Kalan mumbled through his bite, "How long did it take you to prepare all of this, dearest?" Taking a gulp he set the sandwich down and started on a pickle. "This is terrific, as usual."

Akki giggled. "Its just sandwiches silly. I had the chicken in the fridge and I made the cake yesterday." She turned to the basket, pulling out a thermos of lemonade and some cups, pouring and handing him one.

Taking it he nodded and set it down, "Any reason to compliment my darling is a good one."

Akki put her own cup down, then turned to kiss his cheek, her eyes shining as she met his. "Thank you Kalan. I'm glad you like it, I like doing things for you."

Refilling her glass as much as it needed it with a tap of his wand, Kalan leaned into the kiss on his cheek. "Akki, love, I love doing things for you."
