Ignis merely waved the apology off. He really couldn't care less what the girl thought of it and didn't really take it to heart. She's always correcting herself. He thought, One day she's probably gonna end up saying something she'll deeply regret. Only rarely did he ever speak without thinking or meaning to, he knew just how costly a couple of misunderstood words could be.
"And yes, I asked it a question." He said as he flipped the page over. "I don't expect you to understand why since I already explained it and you don't seem to have grasped the reason." Although, he himself did know that the small 'explanation' he stuck at the very end of his answer to Elon's question was hardly sufficient to explain much. But he never explained in full detail anyway, merely the minimal required.

"You didn't really explain it. You just said you talked to it and asked it a question." She said slowly making sure she got it right. "That leaves two explanations. Your a nut case... OR, and this is the one I believe in, you've got some weirdo thing about you that lets you talk to that stuff. Like Carrie and her whole TK thing. Maybe talking to stuff is like your own lil' TK thing?" She asked and cracked the mint an half. The yummy taste made her smile.You said you loved me...

Tis smiled, well atleast she wasn't alone now. She wasn't a freak anymore, well not compared to these people. She looked over at Fate, "so what is your TK then?" She almost smirked but held it back a look of calm on her face. She was skimming through a particularly interesting book she had managed to pick up. It was one that told the 'true' story of Alice in Wonderland, so far it was extremely interesting. She looked down at the page number and grinned, she always seemed to get carried away and just lose herself in books, she was already halfway through the book on page 200.

She laughed. "I don't have one. I can't speak to things... I'm not like the kid from that one movie." She had a slight smile and tried to make her voice seemed like the little boys from sixth sense "I see dead people." She whispered and started laughing. "No. Kidding. I don't. But yeah... I don't see anything abnormal. Can't feel anything. Talk to anything besides people. Nada. Zip." The more she went on she finally realized something. "Unless being good at French and a fast reader is like... Some TK thing?" Fate tilted her head to a side. "Est-ceci un... Er power?" She laughed. "Don't know how to say power in French." Fate shrugged and ran slender fingers through her hair once more. You said you loved me...

Tia couldn't help but giggle, this girl, Fate, had such a carefree attitude and her emotions didn't invade Tia's mind. She was starting to like this girl, no not like, admire. She smiled, "if being a fast reader is a TK then I guess I have that too." She sighed, it couldn't hurt to tell them, hell who knew how long they'd be stuck here with each other, might as well get to know them. "Well as Fate has already discovered, I have a gift. I believe that you would call it empathy. I can feel the emotions of others."

"Woah... Okay so we got..." She tapped her finger on her lip thinking of superhero names. "Empathy girl." She moved her finger to point at Tia. "Boy who sits and stares at things in the dark." Her finger wandered over to Stevan. "Mr. Crazy guy who talks to kitchen appliances." Her finger once more moved to indicate Ignis. "Uh... Macho Macho man." With a laugh she pointed to Elon. "And me. The normal kid who never shuts up and apologizes to much." Fate did a small little curtsy and bit her mint again.You said you loved me...

Ignis raised an eyebrow in question. "Out of all those things, I'm the only crazy person?" He'd made pretty good progress into the book, although he would've been able to get through even quicker if he didn't have all these distractions. "Pretty sure that you can still talk to inanimate objects without any TK or whatever anyway. And the two 'explanations' you came up with aren't that good, they don't even come close."
He didn't speak again until he finally closed the book in his hand and grabbed another one from the pile he'd selected. Opening it he muttered, "And if you're just a normal kid, then I'm a run-away prince from a rich and perfect country."

"Okay. So I'm slightly off my rockers to alright?" She turned to him. "And maybe they weren't that great of explanations but there's still two of them. Two is better then what you provided mister....?" She waited for a name. "Anyways I know it's not the TK thing but that's the only logical explanation I can come up with. I'll drop the crazy part boy-who-talks-to-kitchen-appliances." She smiled and teased him. Frowning at his last statement she thought about it. "Alright so maybe I'm not that normal. I know how to speak French, read a book quickly... Make a candle from a bar of soap. Er... Cook. I'm intelligent... Or so the teachers at school told me. And I can make a light bulb." Fate gave him a faint smile. "Abnormal enough for your tastes?"You said you loved me...

Tia shifted uncomfortably at the new emotions arising. dammit, can't people ever just get along? She sighed setting the book she was reading in her lap and holding her hands over her ears. Her eyes clenched shut, "dammit..." She growled before standing up leaving the book, The Looking Glass Wars, on the chair and hurrying out of the room. She needed to get away from people, away from anything that could express emotions. She kept her hands over her ears while continuing down the hallway to one of the apparantley empty bedrooms. She sighed removing her hands and sitting on one of the beds staring down at her hands. why must I suffer?

"You forgot my name already?" He watched Tia run out of the room. Empathy huh. He stopped reading the book and thought for a moment. I sure can't feel my emotions changing. It's either she knows my feelings better than I do, or that other girl has a lot going on. He sighed and just repeated it. He repressed the idea of asking how someone who's supposed to be intelligent could forget a single word so quickly. "My name's Ignis."
"And no, not really." He went back to reading the book. "I speak two languages, a lot of us seem to read books quickly, and if I couldn't cook, I would've starved for the last three years of my life. And instead of an explanation..." He said without looking up, but he took a small pouch from his pocket with one of his hands. It almost seemed strange how his expression never changed during his entire speech. "You wanna try guessing after I give you an extra hint?"

Elon laughed. "Are you kidding me? We only woke up a few hours ago. I'm not tired at all!" he said energetically. To prove his point, Elon stood up and did twenty jumping jacks, laughing the entire time. "See? Besides. If there are bloody screams around this place when there's light outside, we might be murdered by ghosts in our sleep." He said this without any implication of being scared, and shrugged. "We should stay together and awake if we like to live." Shrugging lightly, he sat down and leaned against the bookshelf again.
