Sooooooooooooooooooooooo when extremely tired I apparently start writing. I like, at the save time, I don't. It kinda rocks and sucks. Also, the 'song' was originally a poem, so...yes. But here's a vid of a chick singing it, just imagine it more masculine.
Come Little ChildrenCome Little Children
“Tch! Bum lead. Sorry, guys. I thought…I dunno.”
Joseph looked at the group of kids(Neverland having changed their appearances for them to help them fit in immensely), disappointed at himself as he noticed looks ranging from relief, to frustration, to sorrow.
Noelle was still missing, Rae was still ‘gone’, countless lives terrorized… The replicas NEEDED to be destroyed. They HAD to be. They needed to pay…and Joseph was willing to do the deed. Quite happily, too. Of course, dragging everyone along on every single lead was getting on quite a few people’s nerves.
Come little children~Joe’s head snapped up, turning and looking in the direction of the…song? It was so quiet, though. A few others seemed to notice it, too, but not everyone. Of course, then it picked up in volume.
Come little children
I’ll take thee away
into a land
of Enchantment~Everyone heard it, and everyone looked to Joe. It was his voice singing it. Except his mouth was shut. Of course, everyone jumped to the same conclusion, with the bo-wielder letting out a gritted “Azrael…”
Come little children
the time’s come to play
here in my garden
of Shadows~“Well, it’s obviously a trap.” Kyle said, shaking his head at the sheer simplicity of the tactic, before considering who it might be for. “Joe! Don’t!”
But, alas, it was too late. The fighter had already ran off in the direction the lure was in.
“Dammit.” Kyle quickly followed after, the rest coming along as well. They didn’t need to lose another to the replicas.
Follow sweet children
I’ll show thee the way
through all the pain and
the Sorrows~Joseph darted through the trees of Neverland, his size growing, becoming less of a child and more like his adult self, almost as if the dress sphere sensed his less then childlike mindset. Driving forward, he followed the song that seemed to call out to him; the masculine voice that beckoned him.
Weep not poor children
for life is this way
murdering beauty and
Passions~The ‘kids’ followed Joseph’s trail. They were also going through the change, gaining physical age as they tried to catch up. Tried, of course, being the operative word. Joseph was the fastest of all of them, even though Dawn and Mathy were a close second.
Hush now dear children
it must be this way
to weary of life and
Deceptions~ Joseph ran into what looked like a hollowed out tree in the side of a rock wall, going so face and mind so set on finding that voice that he hadn’t paid attention to the thickness of the shadows and how plentiful they were.
“What the-!” Tendrils of darkness grabbed at him, stopping his feet but not stopping the momentum, his chin cutting open as it made contact with the ground.
“Get off get off GET OFF!” Joseph swung his hand towards the darkness, sending out his Cordenazo blades to slice them off him. It worked, but not well enough. More replaced the sliced off ones, and soon, all Joseph could see was black and darkness.
Rest now my children
for soon we’ll away
into the calm and
the Quiet~Finally seeming like they were catching up, Kyle and the group stopped at the entrance of the tree, the opening cut off by a thick sheet of darkness. Darkness that seemed alive, moving, pulsing, almost breathing.
“Damn…Stand back, I’m going to take care of this.” Kyle motioned everyone back, then outstretched his arms in front of him, palms glowing before firing beams of pure holy energy at the darkness, incinerating it from their way, before rushing through. Kyle’s entire body glowed with energy, keeping the path lit and himself at the ready for anything else that might pop up in front of them.
Come little children
I’ll take thee away
into a land of
Enchantment~The song was so loud, they were so close. They could all feel it as they continued through the tree cave. The darkness in the earth. The violence in the air. The sadistic enjoyment of it all vibrating off the walls.
The clearing in the cave got everyone’s adrenaline pumping, weapons out and at the ready. If any place was good for a boss fight, this would be it. Lo and behold, Azrael stood in the center, eyes closed, wind tainted with darkness swirling around him.
Come little children
the time’s come to play~Azrael’s eyes opened, and his arms lifted and swept out, as if presenting the area to the group like it was a mansion made home.
Here in my garden
of Shadows~Soon enough, thorny vines erupted from the ground bursting out around the edges and walls of the cave, blocking the entrance and exit, all while more shadows and coagulated darkness seeped along the ground. It bubbled, globbed, solidified, oozed. And suddenly, Elleon and Ajora were next to Azrael, smiling like they were enjoying a good show.
“I have to say, Az, not bad. Not bad at all. Of course, the best part isn’t even all of this.” Ajora smiled brightly as he pointed up, and everyone’s gaze followed the direction before numerous gasps escaped them all.
Joseph floated in midair, arms and legs outstretched, head limp and to the side. Alice was swinging in the air, going back and forth in a steady motion on seemingly nothing as her white rabbit followed the motions to the letter.
“Oh, goodie. I wanted to try this in front of a crowd. Better to get other people’s reactions to see if it’s good, you know?”
And soon, Joseph’s own bo floated out from behind him, going a few feet out in front of the fighter, before turning and pointing directly at his chest.
“Three, two, one, go~”
The staff shot forward, but then suddenly disappeared and appeared in the now awake and alert Joseph’s hand.
“…Damn, you were supposed to stay out of it longer. Ajora! You lied to me!”
Ajora waved at the girl, still smiling. “Guess I misjudged his abilities. You’ll just have to take care of him yourself~”
Alice frowned at the male, chalking this up to ‘planned out ahead of time’. Sure, she was new to the group, but really. To test her willingness to help? Pretty low. Of course, she could understand. She didn’t trust them, either, after all.
Alys stopped swinging, going over to now barely visible limp strings that once held the staff, and lifted a ‘paw’ to touch one. They all seemed to come alive, attaching to the bunny plush and getting absorbed into it, and this seemed to cause the rabbit to spasm and have it’s internal claws extend, dripping with a sickly green poison.
Kyle’s hands shot up, and another beam of energy shot from them like a laser. He had aimed for the rabbit, but the shadows on the floor leaped up and absorbed the beam, taking the blow before falling back to the floor with Ajora raising an admonishing finger.
“Now now, no interfering. We really need to see how this all plays out, after all. The ‘mother’ against his lovely ‘daughter’ after she’s all grown up.”
“Ajora. I’m bored already. I’m leaving and am gonna have fun with my boy toy.”
The ‘leader’ waved Azrael off. He had, after all, done his part. And with that, Azrael leaped up and back, back flipping into a dark portal that appeared in mid air. Dawn shivered as she watched his decent seem to slow, then felt disgusted at the wink Azrael shot at her, like he had known she was watching.
Clangs echoed from above, and everyone stared at Joe’s staff fly around, blocking and parrying the plush’s claws. Liquid poison rained from the claws, sprinkling the ground and corrupting it. The smell of dead, barren earth wafted up into everyone’s noses.
“Well, this might take a while. Might as well enjoy it while we can, no?” Ajora chuckled, his eyes sparkling with malicious glee. And something else that got Kyle to yell “DOWN!”
Everyone hit the dirt, and large beams of deep red and black sizzled through the air above them, erupting from the replica’s eyes. Apparently, a battle was going to happen on the ground floor, while the battle from above rained down upon them.
