Charming watched with quite the negative attitude as Merethist buried his head in his arms. "The pink champagne...?" He raised a brow at Tamson. "Yes, I offered him pink champagne." He muttered, not getting why the subject had any relevance. The champagne had matched Merethist - that was why Charming had given it to him, right? He listened to Merethist's description of it, blinking.
For some reason it almost sounded like how some of the princesses told them they'd felt after taking a potion or something. For a very obvious reason. "Wait - do you think--?" He watched Tamson blankly.
"Do I?" Tamson questioned Charming, glancing at Merethist as he finally put his head up and looked at them. "I think one glass is plenty, too, Prince Charming. I just want to know why you gave it to him." It had been a potion, hadn't it? They weren't uncommon in the Underground.

Merethist looked between the two, wondering what they were talking about. Why were they not finishing their sentences?? Was he not allowed to know what they were talking about? He sighed and looked at them poutishly, silently demanding to be told what was going on.
He smiled as the bird finally flew back onto the table to finish it's meal, glad the danger had passed. Merethist picked crumbs up and held them out for the bird, giggling softly when the bird hopped into his hand and started picking the crumbs up from his palm. Somehow, Merethist had befriended the birds and they always made him smile.
"what are you talking about??" he asked finally, letting the bird perch on his shoulder, he glanced at the two quietly, seriously curious by now.

Tamson glanced to Merethist and spoke. "You know potions aren't that rare in the Underground, Mere. I would be willing to bet quite a bit that someone found out about you and Charming. And that you drank a potion." In fact, it was disturbingly obvious by now. There were potions that did things such as that. Potions that could make people fall out of love. And that was what this looked like.
"I don't know why I gave it to him!" Charming protested. "It matched his outfit!" He was willing to believe that it was a potion by now, too. It was a nice thing to believe. A nice thing to believe after thinking that Merethist just plain didn't love him. For some reason it was a comfort to know that it was probably the work of a potion instead of something else.

Merethist didn't know why someone would want to drug him with a potion, had he ever done anything to deserve that?? It was a tad extreme. "but why would they want to use a potion on me?? It doesn't matter what you do to one lover, the other will still feel the same, right??" he asked, finally figuring it was the potion that made everyone angry with him.
"but wait...if I'm with Charming, does that mean i'm having an affair with him??" he asked, confused. He was getting married but Charming was merethist's lover?? oh the confusion.

Tamson glanced at Merethist as he spoke. "Not everyone thinks that way." He informed him simply, taking him in with his dark green eyes. He listened to Merethist's confusion over he and Charming being together. "Not sure." He replied, glancing up at Charming. "Charming?" He pursed his lips uncertainly - perhaps it was best for Merethist not to be in love with Charming if it meant that an affair was going to be carried out.
Charming blinked. "I wouldn't consider it that." He replied quietly, defensively, ignoring Merethist's first inquiry. "I'm not going to take part on an arranged marriage in the first place." He'd be fine as soon as he had it all canceled, no matter how determined his mother seemed to be to have him married now. He couldn't get married right now - at least, not when he felt this way about Merethist, foolish as it sounded.

"oh.." Merethist said quietly, looking from Tamson to Charming. So Charming was his lover and he was supposed to be in love with him, it seemed a little surreal right now. How had he ended up Prince Charming's lover?? He shook his head a little before looking to Tamson.
"so, who would want me to not love you so bad, just so you'd marry this girl??" he asked curiously, flicking his gaze once again to Charming. It had to be someone who was close to Charming or this girl, or it was purely a prank of some kind. He ran a hand through his light pink hair, thinking.

Charming blinked at Merethist as he spoke. That was it. That was completely it. He felt a little sick to his stomach now. He'd forgotten how damned conniving his mother could get. She was definitely some piece of work. "My mother." He mouth felt very dry all of a sudden. How dare she do such a thing? He was almost positive she wasn't aware that his lover... or, maybe even ex-lover, thanks to her, was a man.
Right now he felt like moving forward and kissing Merethist. Still. Merethist didn't seem to really even know him anymore. It was quite obvious that Prince Charming was now at a loss of what to do. His mother had really wanted him to get married that much? Too bad for her he was rather solid in his resolve. He refused to marry anyone while he felt the way he did about someone else. Merethist, to be exact.
Tamson blinked at Charming. "You need to talk to her about it." He replied, biting his lip. "I mean, also, if you don't planned on going through with this arranged marriage of hers..." Prince Charming's mother was already beginning to form as a terrifying form in Tamson's mind.

Merethist felt his stomach bottom out and he swallowed, looking confused. "w-what if I don't go back to normal??" he asked, now they had told him, he'd always wonder what he had been like before all this happen, not knowing would eat at him. He wrapped his arms tighter around his legs, resting his chin on top of them as he drifted off into thought, would he ever know what it was like to love Charming??
"mummy's a meanie~" he whispered as they talked about talking to Charming's mother, she was already forming as a horrid witch in Merethist's mind, Having all these potions and bad plans. He pouted, she wasn't in his good books.

Prince Charming watched Merethist's confused worry. "There's always some type of reverse for potions like these." He replied simply. Though it was better to ask his mother if she had some type of reverse potion on her before really attempting anything, but what Charming had in mind really was worth a shot. He moved forward rather impulsively(as usual, lately) and quickly pressed his lips to Merethist's. Kisses worked lots of times!
Tamson blinked at Charming as he spoke and then moved forward to kiss Merethist out of the blue. The fairy then moved to politely stand. "I think I'll be going now - all that I can help with has probably been figured out anyway." He muttered quickly, feeling a light blush form on his dark skin. He then turned rather hurriedly and began to walk off. For one he became skittish when viewing such situations, and for another... Charming and Merethist probably needed some alone-time in the first place.

"there is?? good~" Merethist felt a little reassured and fought the impulse to fling himself in Charming's arms. He blinked, where had that come from?? He shook his head, about to ask another question when he felt Charming's lips against his.
Merethist's face lit up like a Christmas tree and he wiggled around, trying to twist away. He felt something like a floodgate open in him and suddenly felt full of feelings for Charming. He was sleepy and could feel his consciousness fading, weakly he kissed Charming back before he slipped into unconsciousness, flopping back against the chair.

Charming felt Merethist try to get away and almost pulled away in disapointment. And yet Merethist was suddenly kissing him back - if a little weakly. He blinked as Merethist fell back against the chair, unconcious. Tamson was now gone and Charming's first course of action had actually worked. Well. He thought so, at least. For one, Merethist had kissed him back, and for another... well, he'd just fainted in Charming's very arms!
Charming scooped Merethist up with ease and began walking to his room. They could stay there until Merethist was concious again. It was a lovely thing knowing that Merethist probably wasn't under the influence of any potion anymore.

Merethist stirred a few hours later, blearily shifting to turn onto his side and bury his head in the pillows on the bed. Wait, bed?? He blinked an eye open and drew in a deep breath, enjoying the scent the pillows and covers held, it all smelt like sweets and lavender..like Charming. He cuddled more into the confiness of it, before opening his eyes fully and looked around slowly.
He groaned softly and flopped back down, a headache attacking him. He remembered everything, the potion and effect;the lot. He still hated Charming's mother and wondered where he was and if their relationship was okay. He felt horrible for what happened and the look Charming had given him at the ball, he winced and curled in on himself at the pain that memory brought to his heart.

Prince Charming watched Merethist as he stirred and awoke, facing away from him. Merethist now seemed to be taking in his surroundings rather calmly before flopping back down and curling in on himself. "Mere..." Charming whispered the name, taking his hand and brushing it over Merethist's cheek lightly. Merethist had to have recovered by now. Merethist had to remember.
"Merethist, I love you." He murmured softly. He was going to have a nice, long talk with his mother now. He was also going to have to get her away after that, busied with something else, presumably. He was having some seriously hard feelings against her in the current.

Merethist opened his eyes as he heard Charming's voice, smiling happily as he quickly shifted closer to the Prince. He snuggled close to him, missing having these feelings of love for him flow through him. He was glad Charming had managed to counter the Potion. He leaned his face into Charming's hand, his eyes closing contently.
Merethist's eyes snapped open at Charming's words and a deep blush coloured his cheeks, he looked up at Charming and smiled. "I love you too, Charming" he said quietly, placing a kiss on Charming's lips. This was how he wanted it to be, he couldn't wait to tell Jay about how happy he was!!

Charming smiled at Merethist as he spoke, kissing him back softly and wrapping his arms around the other. Prince Charming now felt a simple and complete contentment. So, perhaps they were both male, which would make life a little harder, but still. Merethist still should have been able to pass as an exception. He was overly-girly and a cross-dresser after all!
Not that it mattered at all. No, what the public thought and believed really didn't seem to matter at all anymore. Just that they were here and that they loved eachother - right? So, perhaps it sounded a little lame or mushy or whatever, but making it sound good wasn't the point! Yet.
