x0Kat_Demon130x bexterzblue JazzieWolf -Sigh- I'm so embarrased, I don't even want to say where I'm from... Southern California, San Diego, University City High. My band sucks. We'll be lucky even to get invited to friggin Disneyland... Not that our director would let us go... -grumbles incoherantly- Awww.. Are you going to stay with your school when it moves? I'm from San Marcos. I think our bands competed with eachother a few times last year. It would be so awesome if I could compete against you this year... Do you have your scedule for which compitions your going to this year? I'm from so cal too ninja . what school are you from? edit: nevermind I read the other post I've never heard of that school but I have a question how many people have to be in your band before you're moved up to 5a (my band just a bunch of freshmen eek )?

To Kat I'll Pm you my band shedual. To Kid I think to be in 5a you have to be 130-150 but i'm not sure because SCSBOA just changed how many people have to be in each division so ask your BD to make sure.

Quartz Hill high school rebel marching band. we're not holding a real tournement but we are hosting a pre-competition exibition for the schools in our district. our BD wants to turn it into a real competition one day. our freshmen are pretty good 3nodding . what school are you from?

oregonian here! anyone else from around here?
im so excited yet nervous because our first marching band show is this saturday. we will be one of the very few bands with a full show so that should give us a little upperhand if we dont screw up too badly. last year we won championships and i dont know how were gonna do this year. our director left us to go to evergreen and they are trully lucky to have him. if anyone on here goes to evergreen, how is everything with norfleet?

Nya, 'nother south Californian here. La Mirada High School, if any of y'all have ever heard of it. We took fourth at championships a couple years back.
We're a 4A band (we were 4A last year with 145 strong, we were hoping to be a 5A band by this year but have a pretty small freshman class, so we're an itty bitty (10 cool 4A band now) and we'll be having our first competition show this Saturday at Kennedy. So if you want to check us out our time slot is 3:30 (or somewhere around there... >>') and our show is Phobias, which is actually a lot niftier than the cheesy title suggests.

Strider228 Is there anyone else from Utah here?!?!?! Yup! I saw you guys in Payson last week. And i'm going to the one in Logan. ^_^ (Even though i'm not in marching band yet sweatdrop ). But my brother is in the American Fork High School Marching Band. He does snare. They are open class with about 220 members. (Marching Band here is big!). W00t! Go Utah! ^_^
@Sympatique: I saw your show at Payson to it's really good this year! (Everyone that was in Open Class last year moved down so there are only 3 bands in open class left!)

OMG Utah people! I'm not alone! I didn't go to school around here but I live up in Orem. I'd love to learn more about the local schools. Heck I was considering looking for schools hiring guard instructors or something to that affect. Let me know if you guys hear anything. ^^
On to more personal stuff, who's doing what shows (what schools doing what shows) and what's the scoop on the local competitions? I'd love to attend one or two, if there are any left.
