Seventy years?, Siri thought. It was quite a long time for one to be studying anything, nevermind something as complex as magic. She'd gotten bored with school after seventh grade, and that was only eight years! She couldn't fathom studying something for so long, even if it was as awesome as what Monollius had just done. For a moment, she wondered if she had any powers or abilities in this dream that she didn't have in the real world. She quickyl dismissed that thought, thinking about Monollius's words. She sure hadn't spent seventy years studying anything, especially here.
Siri returned to Kat. She seemed to be taking offense at the jibe to her hair colour. Perhaps she was more sensitive than Siri had originally thought. Still, Siri snorted. "Did you just use a Harry Potter reference? What are you, twelve?" Here Siri mimicked the girl, rolling her eyes. "Oh, wow. Sorry for not asking for a full family history the moment you came bounding over here. Didn't realize that was the custom here." She frowned at the girl's comment about racism. "How the hell could I be a racist for making an obvious observation, which you just pointed out it was, without even knowing your race? You just gave me your heritage, after I talked about your hair, so how would I know you were a dryad, or whatever it was? Your logic is wonderfully inept."
With this, she, too, turned to look at the man coming to join their happy little gathering. He was walking with his arms outstretched, palms facing them. Where they really that intimidating, or was he just being cautious? Siri frowned as another thought came to her. Wha tif this man was a magician, like Monollius, and could summon fire or ice or something that could harm them without moving his hands from the position they were in now. Her frown deepened, and she wondered whether or not she should voice her thoughts out loud. She wouldn't want Monollius or the girl, annoying as she may be, to be hurt because she didn't say anything. Then again, Monollius seemed older, and much more wise and powerful than she, so he would probably have assesed the man for any threat by now.
Content in her decision not to speak, Siri uncrossed her arms and lowered them to her sides, her body tensing up despite what her mind was telling it, ready to grab the sword strapped to her back at a moment's notice.

Doragon woke up extremely fast, which he realized was because someone stepped on him. "Whatch where you step I just nearly barfed when you stepped on my stomach!" Doragon said but realized they had already left. They must've been in a hurry. . . Doragon thought as he stood up and walked down the hill. There were three people and another approaching. One of them he noticed was a part elven dryad. He walked down towards them. Two of them seemed to be arguing. "What's this big fancy gathering here?" He asked as he walked up behind the person talking. ((That would be Siri))

((well, me, wolfshadow, blackbird, shadowtrust, and muffin's characters are in the middle of a large plain, and i think that muffins two elvish characters and elesariin's are in the forest nearby., talking. might manna read through the posts though, because a lot of thing have been said.))
Kat looked at her for a long time, then nodded to herself. "Okay, good, you got the reference. that means i'm not the only person here to come from Earth. anyways, sorry bout that whole racist thing, but i have honest got no idea where that came from. or how i knew what race i was." she started to sit down, and vines and other plants grew faster than it seemed possible, wrapping around each other, forming a chair. she rubbed her temples, eyes closed. "its like.. there a whole set of other memories in here, and i mcan't remember them. how do i know how to make chairs and stuff? i mean, i even know that theres no such thing as a half dryad, that if your the daughter of a dryad your a dryad, but you take some traits of whatever race your father was. theres no such thing as a male dryad, except in some extreme circumstances, my mum always used to say, while she told me stories of the great witch Vyrana and.." she broke off, looking up. "Holy s***, its all there!" she leaned back, allowing the other memories of her life here flow back. it was like looking at a picture superimposed on another. 'i must have repressed these when i came here, i mean, if i didn't have a strong will, these memories could have crushed mine altogether. in fact, for the time being, i think i'll be her.' a serene look crossed her face, then she opened her eyes, and for the first time seemed truly comfortable in her own skin. for an explanation, she said, "Kat's left for the while. you can call me TK."

Monollius gave another soft sigh. So many youths abounding these plains. It seemed his predictions would come true far earlier than he anticipated. What a bother...
He listened patiently to the banter between Kat and Siri, smiling faintly. He knew not the faintest idea of Earth, for all the expansive knowledge compiled in his brain, but he listened, and was going to learn. Earth. The word was simple, smooth, faintly familiar. Then again, he had never put much thought to geography, and Kat had said the two women hailed from Earth. Perhaps then, it was simply another distant country. Foreigners were truly an amusement.
Monollius paid Doragon no heed, however. The male's speech, and mannerisms were rude, at best, and in turn he neglected the question. Besides, his adjectives were hardly accurate: There were only five, Doragon included, thus making this a rather small gathering. Second, it was most certainly not fancy. No one was dressed for any sort of formal business. Even the Arch-Sage was in less than formal robes.
Lightly, the elder laid a hand upon Siri's shoulder. "Tranquility, Lady Siri. No need for venomous banter among ladies, regardless of race or hair color. It was a misunderstanding, simply, and should be disregarded."

"Birthright?" Francis muttered. Was that like his family name? "I'm a Murphy." He stated clearly. "I got here, and I don't really know where I am."
"Sure you have a choice!" Willow snapped at the girl, then her voice was soft and mildly threatening. "You can wake up, but once you fall asleep, you'll be right back here until you help us."

Aria's eyes flashed, and when she spoke, her voice was soft but cold. "For someone asking for help, you seem pretty antagonistic. I don't have to help you, and I don't think I want to, at this point." She turned and started to walk away again, then looked back at Rowan, her expression slightly softer. "When you ask the others, you might want to do all the talking. Might go better."

Siri jumped as the man spoke, right behind her. She once again reached for her sword, but stopped when she felt Monollius's reassuring hand on her shoulder. If this man didn't bother the sage, he shouldn't be of any trouble. In response to the new man's question, Siri shrugged. She really didn't have any idea what was going on, and was in no fit position to explain it to a stranger.
Siri's eyes widened as she heard Kat mention Earth. 'Come here from Earth'? That really doesn't sound like something a dream person would say...This whole situation is way too wierd, even for my mind. I can't make head nor tails of what's happening. Siri frowned as Kat formed a chair out of plants, much like Monllius had molded the earth. Was eveyone besides her able to use magic?
She grew confused as the girl suddenly changed, her face becoming much more peaceful and calm. Now she wanted to be called TK? Siri shook her head, trying to figure out what was happening. When that failed, she just asked the question out loud, hoping to get some kind of an answer from those around her. "What the hell is going on here?"
She heard the first boy to arrive say he didn't know where he was. "That makes two of us," she muttered, before raising her voice. The only one who had made any kind of familiar statement had been Kat, and despite Siri's slight hostility towards the other girl, she needed something to relate to. She turned to TK, feeling slightly foolish, and asked, "Erm...can Kat come back out? I have some things I need to ask her."

"You'll be back." Willow stated plainly. "Unless you can go without sleep for the rest of you life."
"Willow," Rowan growled, "Shut you Mab damn mouth." He sighed before smiling slightly to Aria. "I realize that."

*~* Jessica's head pounded as she stood up. She 'woke up' or fell asleep near a forest. She blinked her eyes hard to adjust to the darkness of the shadows of the trees ((whoa o.o)). A stream ran down gently and her reflection was seen in it. Yes, she was back to that winged figure. She turned around and glanced at herself with a weird expression. "Huh. Some dream this is." She mumbled and began to walk towards a clearing in the forest. What she thought was a clearing turned out to be the end of the forest. She looked around dazed and continued to walk through the field.

Aria blinked, forgetting to be angry for a moment. "Mab? As in the dark lady, the ruler of the Winter Court of Faerie?" Suddenly realizing what she was doing, she shook her head, violently. "No, I don't care." She shot Willow a cool, perfectly controlled smile. "I might not be able to stop myself from ending up here every time I fall asleep, but that doesn't mean I can't find myself a cave and wait to wake up." Her eyes shifted to Rowan, and her smile became brighter and more genuine. "Good luck with the others." Pushing her shining hair unconsciously over her shoulder, she started off around the lake.

The Arch-Sage had seen this before... In fact, he had been through a similar experience. There were two explanations: possession (which, Monollius had himself endured), and multiple personas. There wasn't much of a scientific explanation as of yet, but it seemed in some bodies, two souls vied for host status. TK/Kat seemed to be one of those in that sort of position, although he had yet to fully rule out possession.
"It's either a possession or a crowded host," Monollius told Siri softly. He assumed she was referring to the unusual scenario involving TK/Kat. After all, to him, none of this was out of place.

TK sighed. "I've only just come out." she said. "and i-we're not to sure about this either. the most likely explanation for this is that when Kat goes to sleep, she wakes up in a parallel universe, where i live. whilst shes here, she normally represses me, but she just let me come out. i'm not to sure why we're so different. the main theory for multiple universes" she said, drawing from both of their memories, "is that if you say, flip a coin, for a second there is a moment where it could be head or tail. in that moment, a new universe is formed, one where it landed heads, one where it was tail. they both are the same until that point." The differences between our two universes are substantial. but in every universe there is another you, even if their age, looks, gender, species, is different, their soul is the same." she sat back, her chair becoming almost throne-like. "at least, thats one theory" she finished. looking at Siri, she said. "any questions you want to ask Kat you can ask me. we can both tap into each others memories, and if i don't know the answer, i can always ask her. unless she wakes up. but i'll still be here, and i can probably hold on to most of her memories." a flock of brids flew over head, then spiraled down to land on her throne's arms and back. she smiled, then chittered at them in their language, and they reluctantly took off, keeping to their original course.

"Oh...um, well that explains pretty much everything, I guess." Siri thought about what TK had said for a minute. It did make sense...in a twisted way. It at least explain why this dream felt so realistic and unfamiliar. She smiled. At least she didn't have any wierd psychological problems to worry about. Though the school shrink might beg to differ if he heard she was literally visiting another dimension in her dreams. Siri looked thoughtful as another question came to mind. "So you're saying this is another universe, one we can only enter when we fall asleep? What decides what our main universe is? Are there any here who visit Earth when they fall asleep, or is it a one-way thing?"
Siri shot a quick look at Monollius, wondering what he thought of all this. Suddenly, she wondered what her other persona was, and the life she had lived. Uneasily, Siri wondered if she was ready to find out. For all she knew, the soul who normally inhabited this body could be some kind of psychotic mass murderer. Speaking of which..."What happens if we die? Here or on Earth, I mean. What would happen to our souls?"
