"Encores can be fatal." It's been dead around here lately, now that Cloti is celebrating it's official canon. x'D
But anyway, good point Twin! And if Tifa didn't exist why is that a bad thing? Cloud could clearly see her, so it would be rather interesting if she were connected to him in a way in which is unseen. =)

Well, from what I discovered, I say that she's completely human. (Of course...she might be an extra special human, haha.) She does interact with other characters....sort of. Apart from when Leon was worried that she'd trash Ansem's room, Tifa interacted with him by making a reference to him. She asked Sora if he saw someone with a big sword and she remarked that he didn't have a scar. [[Haha, Squall.]]
Anyways, I wish Tifa had more interaction with the other Final Fantasy characters. From what I see, Leon has probably never met her before since when Tifa was trashing the room, he said, "that girl has a temper." It was odd.....because if he didn't know her, why would he let her do whatever she wanted? Haha, oh well.
