Valis sat looking at him she stretched her neck up a bit to thin the width and loosen the pressure but she made no comment about it, looking at where she believed his eyes to be in a silent defiance "You too presume too much, I do not scare so easily" she smiled "I'm friendly but not easily frightened"

Raistlin's lips curled in a devious smirk, he removed his hand, and laid it upon his staff again. "If i wanted to scare you, do you really think that is the best i could possibly come up with? If so, your not only over-presumptious, but your a simpleton to boot" he shrugged. If he wanted to scare her, he would just have to show her one memory from his years in the abyss. That would scare even a nightmaren.

"Your attempt then was to quiet me? Ask Davey how silly it is to try, futile to quiet me or be rid of me" She beamed brightly "And if you manage to kill me I'll only haunt you until you become my friend so really, no matter what I win" She didn't dream of ruling the world but she never loses, she refuses to and when she picks up a task she wont stop till she has finished it, until in her mind she wins, no matter what others think of her
Davey was surprised by this, he had never heard her talk like that before, she managed to keep her happy bubbly tone but her words seemed almost cold

Raistlin smirked and leaned closer "Get.Away.From.Me" he said softly, and turned, he bowed his head at Davey "Davey, my respect for you grows with seeing whom you live with" he said with a chuckle

"Aye, least she can't breath under water so the sea is my escape"
"I can too! but the spell wears off after a while" she didn't like being talked about like she wasn't there.
"Aye and then you have to cast it again just to get back to land before ye get dragged down ta meh locker" Davey smirked
Valis didn't respond to that but turned back to Raist "Ok so you can escape me for a while, but you eventually have to come back and here I will be!" She beamed brightly at him ignoring what he had said to her

Raistlin, for his part continued to ignore Valis. After dealing with Tasslehoff, Valis was a breeze. An annoying breeze but still. "You, my friend have your sea to yourself, i have my tower and enchanted forest. Both formidable safe-havens" he chuckled again. He glanced past Davey, to the woods. These woods, were different then the ones Valis had exited from. These woods, were his. The forest of Waywrenth had found them, and seemed to wait patiently for its master to return.
The dark minded mage, seemed to draw comfort from the eerie woods presence.

"Enchanted forest yeh say? I've been to a right man forests in my time but never any been enchanted.... haunted sure, but ner' enchanted, what's it like?"
Valis opened her mouth to talk but realized raist's forest might be different from the hogwarts grounds and she wanted to learn more about raist so she kept quiet

Raistlin chuckled at the question "my forest, is different for everyone. For me, its not dangerous. But for anyone i desire not to enter. Oh then, then it can be a dangerous place. One you most likely wont exit from, nor find what you seek" a dangerous smirk crept over his maw. How true it was. If the Master of Past and Present didnt desire you safe passage, then safe passage you would not receive. "Best just to avoid it, if your not sure you're allowed safe passage" he chuckled again

Davey nodded "Aye, I see, glad I be a sea farin' man, don't go through forests much" He though about asking where the forest was so he could be sure to avoid it, but he figured Raist was like himself and take the question more as a trick to find the location and go there
"What about the people who accidentally go into it? The ones who aren't looking for anything and don't know what is inside?" Valis thought there should be an exception for those people at least, a clear safe path that went straight through the forest for those who only want to pass through

Raistlin nodded at Davey "Someday, i shall like to visit the sea" he said, hourglass eyes idly drifting over the ocean.
He briefly glanced back, at the female who was too stubborn to leave. "You'd be a damned fool to take more then four steps into the forest. Its not a forest of chirping birds and bunny rabbits, you see it, you avoid it, without even knowing what it was" he flicked his tails, and gave an irritated 'hmph' as if the answer were obvious.

Davey was surprised to hear Raist's interest in visiting the sea, land lovers held little interest in the sea, they only saw the surface which held so little variation to the untrained eye that they would soon grow bored, they would never think to look below the sea to the abundance of life below unless on a rare occasion dolphins would come to swim in the ship's wake, leaping and playing on the surface to delight the people on board. "If yeh are interested I have a ship not far away we might travel on, sail the seas, and if yeh be able we might sail under the sea as well" Davey then turned to Valis "Lass, would yeh find mah lady Tia in de woods and tell her where we be goin?"
Valis smiled happy that Davey would trust her to deliver a message, she knew he was a good guy! "Sure!" she bounded to her feet and raced off to find Tia
"That shall give us an hour at least, and if yeh wish to sail we could be rid o her for quite some time"

Raistlin chuckled at Davey's 'get rid of Valis' tecniquie. Quiet pimpresive. He thought to himself. "I'm very interested my sea faring friend" he said with a nod of his head. "I'd like to learn about all the elements eventually" Raistlin chuckled again, nodding his head. He needed to learn about everything, he yearned for more knowledge. All knowledge was worth having.

Davey nodded with a smile, he suspected ulterior motives but was happy to take the compliment of 'friend' "then let us go and I shall tell you all I can about the sea" there were things that Davey could say about the sea, and things he could show, but there were other things that one can only learn with time and experiance, Davey began walking back the way they had come past the bar and further down the beach towards a small boat resting on the beach "We shall take that little um ta mah ship" he motions to a ship floating in the distance

Raistlin nodded his head, and followed the Sea Entity. His mind fluttered here and there. He wasnt sure which senses to keep alert, this would be a test of his mage-hood. How well could he fare in any condition. This would help hone his skills, make him better. Make him stronger in the senses. "Lead on" was all the mage said, and in a soft tone.

"Now if yeh be ankling ta learn the ropes I could teach em to yeh as well, but if it's jest bout the sea yeh be wondering, well it ta be less work for yeh" Davey ment nothing by this, he merely wanted to get an idea of what Raist did and didn't want to learn, once they reached the boat, Davey motioned for Raist to get in, once he was in Davey would push the boat the rest of the way into the water and then paddle to his ship
