Nadie immediately felt remorse for bringing up Bane’s family, but as for things happening for a reason she hadn’t meant it too be used against herself or what she originally intend upon. She was glade that she wasn’t going to have to fight him over the elders and it still gave her hope to possibly stopping him from bringing back his dead family. Also so what if he had studied people? She had been around for thousands for years and elders no matter what powers you had were not to be dealt with. Why hadn’t he mention this Dragonakai lore before when she had asked them about there history? That was a very import piece right there. If he would become more then a Dragonakai what would he become? These questions now added to the rest that were weaving in and out of her mind. This was the most truly eventful day she had had in a long time.

“First off I am sorry about bringing up your family that was very rude of me to do, my work side will sometimes get the best of me. As reasons I meant natural selection sort of reason. They are dead, think of that. Think of how you would feel being pulled back from some of after life. The report also said that there bodies were burnt to ash which would also mean that there bodies would have to be reconstructed. Also the spell you are referring I believe has a time limit on it. After the body starts to mold or has been incinerated the spell working correctly is reduced dramatically even for the most power.”

She sighed. Her brain was very good at holding information and she hadn’t read that book in such a long time but she could even recall the page number now. She slightly frowned as she moved on about the next bit.

“why didn’t you tell me about this Dragonakai lore before? When I asked you about the history. That is very important. Also what will you become? How much do you know about it? What all is needed to transform. What are the benefits and the side effects? Have you thought about how dramatically it would change your life? The good and the bad parts.” she stopped. She was looking him right in the eye when saying all of this. She use to be an interrogator and it sometimes also get the best of her. “I’m very sorry about that.” she said simply.

Bane listened, his wings constantly twitching, and causing the rings to rattle. He sighed, nodding, at her apology. He knew that the spell was hard to use, and was quite likely to fail. He grinned slightly at her noticing the fact that he had told her some information but not all of it.

"Hmmm.... Yes the spell is a difficult one to pull off.... None the less, I still wish to try it.... As to why I didn't tell you about the lore..... Well I don't consider it truly to be Dragonakai history. The two who became more, both went mad unfortunately, due to not controlling their power... They let it control them.", he said, shaking his hair out of his eyes. He grinned, saying,"There is only one simple requirement... Hehehe..."

Nadie listened constructing a pro and con list for him becoming whatever it is he could be, but stopped when he gave a little laugh. She didn’t know if she was going to like this at all. She felt her mouth open and the words filled with curiosity spilling out. She felt like she was having an out of body experience when it was happening, watching herself ask, “What is this simple requirement?”

She paused waiting to hear it. She was also constructing a rebuttal for him bringing back the dead and had a very good one congerd up. None of this showed though. Her big blue eyes focused on him with intensity and if she had a working heart she knew it would be on edge and pumping. That was odd though… it was another almost human feeling.

Bane grinned, saying quietly,"Why would I tell you that? It would ruin all the fun of being the only living being who knows that answer."

He laughed lightly, his wings unfurling once, slowly, before snapping shut. With another laugh, he said,"Ah.... Why not.... I need a Gem... Any gem would work, but as the past shows, you require a very specific gem, based on the color of your scales. I would need a Gem, colored the same void black as my scales to be able to truly reach that next stage, without sacrificing my sanity."

Nadie wasn’t amused by his power play. His I’m the only one who knows this so I’m not telling you so she couldn’t help it when her eyes started to turn gray, she knew he must be obviously thinking it so if she willed herself to foresee what he was thinking it might work, thankfully he gave in and her eyes turned back to there deep blue.

She waited for him to go on and he did. a gem… he must be talking about Onyx… oh my… . she moved her right hand so now that it was folded under her left arm. On her middle finger she wore a large cut Onyx set in intricately shaped and detailed white gold. She just nodded while thinking.

Bane suddenly laughed, spinning around in place for a second, before grabbing the old copy of the Necronomicon off the table, and saying,"It's getting late.... I'd like to find your copy before midnight, so that I can test it tonight."

He smirked at her over his shoulder, and started to walk away, his wings shuddering with glee.

She didn’t like this one bit. She could tell he was grieving… she understood how that felt. Painful memories had started to flood her mind. She remembered everything so vividly. Her brother was fine and was moving up quickly in the ranks of the army soon her would become on the youngest generals. He was only twenty yet as skilled as his father. Nadie remembered the day Dagan had come home. She hadn’t realized at first anything out of the ordinary about him, he seemed so full of life and stories as usual. The second night of his stay home he had started to brake into a sweat and didn’t even eat dinner.

Two nights latter when his fever should have broke he was gone. It had been Nadie who had found him stone cold with death for at lest an hour. He had been so strong one minute then the next he had taken ill and had been taken from them. Her father had gone made with grief and had almost burnt the house down her sister, mother, and herself were able to put it out with the help of the house staff. It had been a hard time, knowing she would never see him again never hear his stories. Knowing that there family would never be complete again and that there would always be something missing.

Her father had left them. He went to get help or try and find something to stop the plagues. One night a messenger from the neighboring town had brought them horrible news, Sr. Desdemona was dead,. His knife with the Desdemona crest was found bloody and next to a burning pile with bones in it. There were now two holes in her life. For about a month the there of them mourned the deaths of the Desdemona men. It was one of the worst months spent on this earth that Nadie had ever endured.

Not matter where she would turn there would be something to remind her about one of them. Even in the littlest things and everyday tasks. She would cry till there were no more tears left then she would just sob the rest of the night. Her mother wore black everyday instead of the vivid colors she was known for wearing. Her perfect features had aged over night. She wouldn’t eat or talk to anyone and Nadie was also worrying if her mother would be the next to go. Chantry on the other hand had taken over the house. She cleaned night and day and put her vanity aside working along with the house staff who were dropping like flies with sickness till there were none left. Nadie wondered if Chantry was trying to catch the sickness and die, but Nadie had never asked.

One night though Sr. Desdemona had returned and joy spread like wildfire through the family. There lives changed forever that very night in his act to protect all of them. Nadie new though after it had happened he felt horrible about condemning them all, but she understood the he had acted in fear and also to protect his family. Even with all of this she still missed her brother dearly, but would she and could she ever bring him back?

The answer was a simple one. No. she would never do that to him, nor could she ever. He was gone and hopefully enjoying an after life, for he died with faith still in his heart. Nadie had lost sight of faith long ago after watching the destructions of man in the name of there god. Was there an after life for the Dragonakai? “Bane… before you go I would like to ask that you put off doing anything tonight do to the fact that it would be safest to stay in the house. Also do Dragonakai have an after life?”

Nadie was now standing, she was also in front of slightly blocking the doorway by standing in the middle of it. It was then that she realized that a few tears were rolling down her cheek. She quickly wiped the glistening droplets away with her right hand, but she knew it was too late and that he had seen.

Bane, noticed the tears sliding down Nadie's face, and wondered for a second what she was thinking, before saying,"I don't know if there is an after life for the Dragonakai... I've never heard of one, but the only ones of my people I ever spent time with were my family.... Others avoid me..."

He slid the book into his jacket, patting it once, to make sure it wouldn't fall out, before saying,"I wouldn't need to leave the house anyways.... but I will put it off for tonight, as you request."

She watched his eyes flicker away from her face, he had defiantly seen the tears. damn. she tried composing herself, but new it wouldn’t work fully so she said flatly, “Thank you”. and moved to the side so he could pass if he wanted, but before he had even twitched a wing she blurted out, “I do know how it feels to lose a family member… also the feeling of joy that comes with one who you thought to be lost for good coming back. But really you should think about it… they might be better off where they are now. Look at yourself… you’re outcast by most because you are different, wasn’t it the same for them? Even though you had each other you were all still very much alone from what you have said. Do you really want to bring them back into that? Do you really want to set them up for death to take them again?” she was looking at him with her big deep blue eyes which were lined with a new set of tears that might start to fall down her face at any moment.

Bane stopped just before he moved, listening to her words, the usual burning flame of his sureness flickering for a second. He sighed, leaning against the counter, a frown crossing his face. Finally he said,"No... I don't.... Which is why I intend to find a way to change the way this world works before then. Both times a Dragonakai became more, they ended up drawing half the world to them... If I am sure that I can accomplish the spell, then I will become more first, so that Humans, Dragonakai, and all.... Will help me and my family..."

Nadie was stunned by this. She was also slightly horrified.
“so what you are saying for your own personal gain you are willing to make everyone else change with you? Aren’t you finding this all rather selfish? Did you ever stop to look at the cycles of the humans history. That there is always this idea of good and bad, but in reality it is just people against other people with a different set of ideas who might be willing to do anything to achieve there ideas for what they think is best. I think the human in you is acting up… you are becoming one of those good vs. bad people. You see yourself as helping by becoming something more and what happens… you gain from this as well.”

With every word her eyes becoming less and less watery yet still keeping there glistening overly wet look. “but what happens when you become like the others? When you are submerged in your powers and they take over. You say now that you won’t be like those before you, but they probably said that too when they were in your position. Also when performing a spell if personal gain is put over the well being of others it will not work properly no matter how much you want it or how powerful you are. There will also be an equal or grater reaction in the opposite nature. I would heavily suggest taking much more time before acting.” she folded her arms and her right hand shot off a glittering sparkle.

"More time? Why of course... Why would I ever do something so rash as to start something I wasn't sure would work EXACTLY how I want it to..", Bane said, noticing the glint of Nadie's ring. His eyes grew wide when he realized the gem in it, but he said nothing about it, as he pushed off of the counter, and stepped past Nadie, saying over his shoulder,"You really are underestimating me.... The reason the others powers went out of control, is because they didn't use the perfect gem. I don't intend to use any stone but the right one. Also, isn't it true, that every time a being gains great power, the world changes? In truth those who don't want to change the world are the most dangerous, for they can cause the most change, simply by fighting to stop the change. Those who want change, are more likely to fail."

((sorry guys i had a computer crash and i haven't been here for a few days sad , but i'm back now and ready to RP lol))

Raven heard Zeke yell to her from down the hall. " m'k...i didn't know you were even here," she said sarcastically. She got up from her bed and thought, " now what was i doing before she got here? oh! food. Something bloody, maybe a nice rare hamburger or something. i don't feel like hunting anyting particular tonight," She made her way to the front door and down into the town looking for a nice restaurant to eat at or something. She spotted Zeke walking a street over from her, but decided to walk on.

She came to a little pub, and thought she'd check it out. "maybe i'll get some company if i hang in here long enough," she said out loud as she walked in. The place was rather empty minus the bartender and his wench both standing behind the bar making good use of their time.

Bane had stated it himself… he was still half human. It was more human then she had been in a very long time. This human part of him was rash… the fact that he said that he knew exactly how things would turn out proved this. She also knew that when someone was in the state of mind that there was no chance of them being wrong in there minds. Even it she was underestimating him she had reason too.

She thought about her words then spoke, “they are a threat when it comes to stopping the natural flow of change, but what you are planning on doing is not in the natural flow of things. There for you would be just as bad as those not changing with the natural flow of things.”

"Not the natural flow?", Bane said quizzically raising an eyebrow as he turned back towards her. His smile grew slightly grim, as he turned and said,"There is not natural flow to change. It happens in spurts, and comes unexpectedly! Do you really believe that the humans who fought in the World Wars wanted change? Some did, but many did not... And yet those who did not are the ones who caused the most change!"

He shook his head, his hair waving, before saying,"Bah! What I'm planning is the natural way for those who can do it... It's relatively simple, and should I succeed it is unlikely anyone will even realize... If I fail, then no change will occur, for I will simply... Die."
