Chase grinned in the darkness. He spun the unhatched female in between his paws. Chase had taken something so innocent and started to toy with it. He was in a great and spacious meadow. He laughed. "Those weaklings didn't even pose a challenge. More then likely though there will be other coming and I will get a decent fight. And then i shall take this egg and raise into the darkness." His laughter then filled the air and could be heard even by the smallest of creatures.

Those nearest to any of those that resided at the House in Bass'ken Woods (except the three found permakits) soon heard a message from their right ears, loud enough to be heard and to make the kitsu bearing them wince. "Miaka sensed the egg in trouble near them, outside the protection sphere. Tama is going out to fight. Portkeys to the cottage incoming. 2 minutes before they move you, be ready. Calypso's will be activated at dock."

The message shut off. Beside Cedrella on the deck of the Calypso, in front of Zell near the river, & between Adumialmîr & Yun in the woods an empty double bock bottle landed softly. Each in their own spaces Cedrella, Hemi, & Ginny looked at them in wonder, and each said the same thing. "Uh-oh... Trel's been drinking..."

As Cedrella's communication device had been turned to max by her mother -since the kit had a tendency of pointedly, ah, not hearing things she did not want to hear- it was quite easy for everyone on the Calypso to hear the words of the GaiaCom that reverberated through it at such a high decibel. Of course, that meant the poor kit's head was ringing quite painfully and large tears were forming in her eyes, where they clung tenaciously to the rims but did not fall. She could not, would not, cry in front of them! Her mother would not cry, and neither would she! On one paw Cedrella agreed with the Hufflepuff female on the other.... "I want to hit him or hex him or something!" She whined, half in pain from her ear, half angry.

Below, curled around the exhausted kit Rune stirred. Considerate of them to give Captain Jones time to dock the ship... Slowly the White SeeD unwound herself carefully from around Jessica, being careful not to disturb her. Then with ginger steps, her wings fast to her back, Rune made her way back on deck to assist the speed of their return. But something nagged her. The group that was spreading out from the cottage... where are they? Strategic thinking brought forth the members of that party. Not many of them fighters. Actually... only Liliana and her mate Edward would probably stand a chance...

*Ahead of you, Rune. Liliana is out, drained in the making of the portkeys so quickly. Edward is with her. The others of that group wait the arrival of those by portkey to add to the show of numbers only. Hopefully it is enough.* The soprano voice whispered in her mind. Wait... Soprano? The rabbit familiar Peter's voice was more tenor in her mind... *Trelweny?* A soft laugh, a glimmer of the state of a drunken mind, of inhibitions momentarily cast aside was the only answer.

Shaking her head at this revelation the SeeD whose GF had left its own psychic mark on her climbed the stairs and went right to business with doing her part to get the ship to dock.

Nodding, Rune obediently curled up in the most out of the way place while remaining available for questions. Yes, her body was fatigued but her mind was not. In fact... it felt the most awake since Ellone had sent her here and she had lost the familiar contact of her Guardian Force. "Aye captain. Cedrella... Tie that off properly. And here..." Flicking her paw the White SeeD cast a heal on the kit's ear. Then, smiling as Cedrella shook her head as the pain receded Rune lay her head on her front paws, soft green eyes quietly watching.

Tamahome had met up with Chase Young. This was a new kitsu he had never met or seen but he could sence the evil intent of this being. "Give me back my child." He snarled at Chase Young.

Chase just laughed. "So you be the gaurdian of this little one." He said flickering the egg in between his tails. "Hmmm...this egg might make a worthy fighter in my army of darkness. Yess. " A snake like tongue flickered.

Tamahome got up on his hinde legs and got into a fighting pose. Through from afar it looked silly. Tamahome though had been practicing this while Miaka was away.

Chase smirked." So you know some martial arts. This is going to be fun. I wonder if you can over power me?" Chase Young then set the egg aside so for it not to get damage.

Tamahome growled.

"Strike if you think you can."

The two kitsu then leaped at one another and the two fighting martial artist fought until one of the teams managed to show up.

Gathering together each group touching their portkey traveled to just inside the barrier of the cottage. The meadow beyond the barrier was where Tamahome fought the darkhaired kitsu.

((yesh.... cheating so that everyone gets there together. ^_^))

Tamahome and Chase Young had stopped fighting. For they landed blow for blow with kicks and punches. They panted for a bit. Chase looked more like a nightmare with green scales about on his body. Tamahome looked ready to pass out but with his stubborness getting the best of him. Chase Young just smirked at this. "So I see you have back up."

The young kit watched as the armored one grinned at the father of the egg. His one paw was gripped around the handle of his sword. He could see that the father was growing tired. Any minute now the villain would overwhelm him.

Sigurd growled, "You are obviously out numbered here, give the egg back to us!"
