The point is that he's supposed to become the captain of the Ascension and start the makings of a fleet with Sera's little ship.

Point being, even still if he just talks to Toula anyway he's pretty much set.
The family business spans from continent to continent.
Meaning that, if her family business covers perfumes, clothing, chocolates, and even shoes (things that cater only to one sort of taste), and she's so well off, it MUST be because her family business also caters to OTHER tastes. Other peoples tastes that have NOTHING to do with perfumes....
Such as ships.....
And their parts......

Lol, there's a reason why I made Toula loaded like hell.
To help everyone else in the role play when they're in need of financial aid to make the plot progress, since everyone else seemed to be of middle class or lower. wink
