((takihiro, I ask that you keep it in third-person perspective when you type, and there IS a length requirement for posts. Please edit your newest, and we'll go from there. Thanks.))
He had been plugging away the enemies for a solid four minutes now, and was about to advance, when the next squad of grunts, led by a single elite marched through the doors at the far end of the walkway. The elite shouted, and grenades flew like mad. "s**t! COVER!" He crouched back behind his crate. When the grenades went off, he shook like there was an earthquake, and his ears rang. Then a creaking sound...
He turned to see that the half ton crate was falling toward him! Quickly, he rolled, and the crate fell on its side, now only providing enough cover for a man to crouch behind. So he crouched, keeping his head down, and sighed. This was turning out to be one hell of a defensive mission. He reached for his radio, and found that it had been lost in his evasion of the crushing crate. It now lay out in the open, too far away to be safe for retrieval. He turned to his other side. "Somebody, get on the radio and contact the Sergeant Major, now!" he shouted. They needed a proper objective, or they'd end up running like chickens with their heads cut off. "Stick together, dammit!" he shouted, as he saw Linus running off. Shortly thereafter, the man returned with a second soldier in pursuit. "Stay down, dammit!"
He swore, if his squad ended up killing itself, he'd request for a transfer. He was not going to have families blaming him for their brother's, and father's, and children's mistakes! There was no way he'd be able to put up with that. "Stop running around like ******** numbskulls, and do your job!"

The feeling was euphoric, having the power to extinguise the life of an enemy with a pull of a trigger. Steven fired out at any Covenants he saw from his cover. He had just shot a grunt in the side of the head when he heard Danes shout something. Turning his head slightly he saw the grenades. He ducked in the best cover he could find as the grenade went off. He looked back up when he heard Danes shouting orders.
Moving as fast as he could without exposing himself, Steven moved closer to the man who was shouting louder then the guns. "Sir! Corporal Steven Richards joining up with your squad and awaiting orders, Sir!" Steven shouted when he got close enough.

"Richards!" Danes repeated, confirming the name. "Thank God, another soldier. I need you to do two things: First, say that you will follow all orders now matter how insane or unimportant they sound. Second, I need you to lend me your radio." He held out his hand for the radio. "Break the first rule, and I'll kill you myself. I don't have time to d**k around. Break the second rule, and I'll kill you myself. I don't have time to d**k around. Is that understood?"

"Sir, I'll follow orders no matter how much I get shot to Hell!" Steven said enthusiastically. "Oh, and the radio. Here you go Sir." He grabbed his radio and quickly placed it in Danes outstretched hand. "Anything else Sir?" he continued. While waiting for an answer, Steven habitually glanced down to his gun to make sure it still had enough ammo in its clip. Once satisfied he looked back at the man on the radio.

Danes nodded. "Yes, there is. Make sure I don't become target practice. I'm quite fond of my organs and I'd like to keep them." Then he turned to the radio, and found his platoon's frequency. "Sergeant Danes, requesting updated objectives. My squad and I are currently on the rooftops under heavy fire, and with no sign of support or end of Covenant waves."
After several seconds of silence, the reply came: "Danes, take your squad back to the ship now! On the double! We're departing immediately, and going to make our jump. You have ten minutes. Over and out."
"Dammit," he muttered under his breath. "SQUAD! Pull back to the elevators! Now!" He gave Steven a light shove toward the elevator. "Go, I've got your back!" Then he turned and rose up over his crate and began firing into the Covenant masses.

As soon as Danes got on the radio, Steven began firing at the Covenant once more from around the crate. Looking down the gun at the Covies in front of him he fired his assualt rifle in several quick bursts. He had dropped 3 jackles when he felt someone shove him a little. He looked over his shoulder at Danes as he ordered the squad back to the elevators. "Yes Sir," Steven said quickly, and he started making his way back the way they had come from.

"SQUAD! Pull back to the elevators! Now!" Linus heard Sarge yell out. We had elevators..? Linus thought to himself, he turned around and ran back to his squad to follow them to the elevators. "Elevators... jump..why do I not like the sound of this?" Linus mumbled to himself, throwing a Fragmentation grenade towards a small group of three grunts and 2 jackals. "I feel so....exposed.. right now. I need a Scorpion Tank.." Linus muttered to himself, standing up to follow his squad.

Corey ran down the hallways and came out to an opening where a squad of marines were fighting some covenant and then saw them run into a elevator. "Wait!!" Corey yelled and he ran into the elevator saluting to the higher ranker office the squad leader Corey though. "Sergeant Corey Wolfe reporting for duty sir!" and then Corey turned around and knelled firing off his shotgun at some Jackals and grunts.

Ratu saw his squad falling back to the elevators. "Great they are on the move and I am pinned here" he muttered to himself. He turned back to fire in to the waves of grunts and Covenant. He over from his cover and threw a frag at them, killign around ten. "Dam they keep comming" he said. He turnded back and fired at more of the Covenant, as he ran to the elevators. Just as he was about to get in to them he was hit in his right shulder by a plasma bolt. He hit the ground hard but he rould over and fired into them taking out as many as he could, as he lay their slowly blacking out.

Now Danes moved, firing over his shoulder. On his way, he snagged a hold of Ratu's vest, and dragged him the rest of the way into the elevator. Rifle slung over his back, he drew his firearm and began blasting away, not taking much consideration for aim. Releasing Ratu, he slammed the button for the main floor. The gates slowly shut, and the elevator began its descent.
Only now did the Sergeant have time to acknowledge the newcomer. "Corey Wolfe, what exactly are you? Please tell me you're a medic, because my man just took a bolt to the shoulder, and I need all my boys fully functioning." He was reloading his weapons as he spoke.
"Everyone else, check your weapons. Make sure they're full, and give me an inventory check. How many clips, grenades, whatever useful. We'll make sure it's all evenly distributed." He took a deep breath, and sighed. "This is all going to Hell," he muttered. "But we're getting out of here. Don't believe anything otherwise."

Danes pressed his back to the wall, and holstered his pistol before taking the rifle back in his hands. He sighed, and mumbled to himself, "Thank God for medics. You let me know how that gun arm of yours is working, Ratu. I need to know just how fit you are. Don't you dare go playing it macho, either, I will make sure you don't see any action. I'm not going to put up with any of the Rambo s**t. Not now, not ever."

When he arrived at the elevator, Steven turned around to provide more cover fire for the men still coming. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!" he said under his breath to the others as they neared the elevator. He continued to fire bursts of rifle rounds into the Covenant until everyone past him, at which time he pulled completly back himself. Reloading his rifle, Steven kneeled near the others of his squad. "Ouch, I know how that feels," he said to Ratu. Getting back on topic, "Sir, I have four more clips for my assualt rifle, three grenades, and about two dozen shotgun shells," he listed off for Danes.

"Okay this might sting a bit." Corey took out a cleaning pad and put cleaning alchol on it. "Okay i'm gonna clean the area around your wound then add some morphine to releive some pain. This cleaning alchol stings so brace yourself." Corey then rubbed the area of the wound with the cleaning pad and then cleaned up as much blood as he could then inserted the needle in his shoulder giving him about 1 and half units of mophine.
"Your gonna feel a bit silly and light headed but the morphine helps." he then examines the bolt in his shoulder. "Hm not to deep... I'm gonna need some guys to hold him down any voluteers? Its gonna hurt trust me uhh i never quite got your name sir."
