It took her a bit longer to complete the second lap but it didn't go too badly, either. She didn't stop for breath, though her breathing became noticeably more labored. With that, Elruda continued on the third lap, determined to complete her assignment.

Again, it took her longer than her previous attempt to finish her lap. No. She couldn't let her time rate drop. Pushing herself to move faster, Elruda continued with her fourth lap. "I can do this..." She muttered to herself. Briefly, Elruda wondered how much longer she could go on.

It was too bad she didn't notice the crack that she missed the first few laps. And guess what happened? Elruda tripped and fell flat on the ground. Ouch. So much for the Hyuuga grace. Her palms were a bit bloodied from the fall and Elruda sat for a moment to catch her breath and examine her injury.

After a while, Elruda attempted to stand again and continue with the laps. Her palms hurt and she discovered her right knee got sprained when she attempted to stop the fall. She did her best to get up, using her hands as leverage and tried to resume her assignment.

Too bad for Elruda that she wasn't ready to run yet. She collapsed again and Elruda decided to wait a little longer. Her injuries stung and she hoped the wounds won't get infected before she could get them treated at the infirmary later.

With that, Elruda attempted to resume her course. It was hard getting up and she wondered if she would be able to push herself to move. If I ever see one of those old geezers again, I can tell them for sure Hyuugas don't have wonderful stamina! She sourly thought to herself.

This time, however, she succeeded in resuming her course and completing another lap. Elruda continued running, heading to her fifth lap, wanting to finish this assignment as soon as possible. It appears this time it's a stamina test... Wasn't ten laps a bit too much...? She briefly wondered.

Elruda managed to miraculously complete the fifth lap with little problems. She began on her sixth, hoping that she wouldn't have to stop for breath again. It appeared that she could run around three laps before collapsing, her body demanding much needed rest.

It was a pity that she only finished two. Elruda had to stop to catch her breath again, the energy depletion from the work-out catching up with her. Note to self... Elruda silently contemplated. Work on your damn stamina! She wondered if she was ready to run again but it doesn't hurt to try.

And so she attempted to restart her sixth lap. Elruda trudged on to a bit of a walk but after pushing herself, broke off into a run once more. It was embarassing how much she needed to rest. Was a kunoichi really supposed to be that weak? She wondered.

At least she trudged through her sixth lap. A dark look passed over Elruda's pale white eyes as she tried to focus on the seventh. It was too bad the injuries from the previous day and today were really breaking her concentration. Run, run run! She chided herself.

This time, however, Elruda tripped on a large piece of rock that was on the ground. What the hell... She thought. Who put this in the middle of the runway?! Her wounds had reopened from the fall and Elruda wasn't sure if she would be able to get up. For the moment, just laying on the floor seems like a much more attractice choice.

But then the thought of seeing Wrath's angry face changed her mind. The girl pushed herself to move from the ground and shakily stood up. She had four more laps to go and laying on the floor won't get them miraculously done. Mentally, she sighed.

After taking a dangerous, teetering step, Elruda decided that maybe it was for the best that she rested for a bit. If she was to run now, most likely she would collapse. She sat down and waited for another minute to pass and feeling better, decided to try again.

It was difficult, but she managed to complete her seventh lap. Good. She thought. Three more to go! Ignoring her injuries, Elruda did her best to concentrate solely on the trackway. She can't give up right now if she wished to become a strong shinobi.
