oORoadOo Chloe Lockheart oORoadOo Chloe Lockheart @Road: (( o3o this would make a very awesome picture book, or a child fairy tale style drawing... or something. <3 )) (( Hmmm..me with rhyming failz epically....XD;; I'll try, then if it doesn't come out the way you want it to, you can edit my post! <3 )) The man smiles a cryptic smile as he answers the young mischievous fairy.
"I, young fairy, am a Wizard of great renown, High Wizard in fact, of the Royal Court." He answers in his wise voice, he indeed did sound like a wizard, his voice resonated with wisdom and power. He than narrowed his steel gray eyes at the young Gypsy woman, who seems to have stared back at him in shock as she found out about his identity.
"You, young lady..or rather young gypsy, stealing from the Highers is indeed a crime punishable with a loss of a hand." He warned her, his voice starting to hold a cold edge to it.
The gypsy narrows her eyes and steps back, defensively. "I'm quite aware sir, but you see, for someone in my position, not that you would understand. I must eat to live, and steal to eat. Therefore I cannot allow myself to be captured..." And with that she ran off on the opposite direction, running as fast as her bare feet will take her, bangles and anklets jingling in response to her haste, as well as some of her loot falling off her arms. She didn't pay much attention to that though, she was more concerned on running for her life. She didn't feel like losing a hand tonight.
The fairy held onto the young woman's shoulder as tightly as she could, hoping that they would find some sort of escape, knowing they probably wouldn't.
The wizard appeared in front of them, wherever they went. If they ran into an alley, his eyes would be gleaming in the dark, if they ran into a church, he would be upon the altar, waiting for their arrival.
"You Misses, my dears, a punishment I must invoke, a spell I shall cast, on it I will not choke. Give me your wings fairy, for your magic brought this upon yourself, and young gypsy your voice I want, I shall store it on my shelf."
he waved his hand and the fairy's wings disappeared and she grew and became visible, and the Gypsy's voice was ripped out of her mouth with a glow, and stored in a jar that the wizard carried. "To get your magics back, you must do a small task, prove to me you are worthy, peel off your untrustworthy masks. If you show me you can be selfless and act for other's care, I will return your things to you, this deal is undoubtedly fair."
And with those words he disappeared, leaving the two alone.(( OMG YAY! 8D )) The gypsy's eyes widen as she tries to speak, but find that she could not. She grasped at her throat and continues to will herself to speak, but no sound came out, not a single vowel or noise. She narrows her eyes in a glare, but she understood that this was a fair trade. She silently turns her head the other direction stubbornly, and crosses her arms, like a child would when they don't have their way.
'Fine..we'll play by his rules.....no way am I going to go without my voice, I need it.'
She stubbornly nods at the Wizard's conditions, still irritable at the whole ordeal as he disappeared, leaving both of them alone.
She look up at the fairy and leans in, her arms at her hips now, as if silently asking her, "What now?"(( >__> Road..my premonition might come true.... oAo ))
The fairy stared back at the girl, "What are you looking at? My wings have been ripped! My powers have been stolen, my abilities stripped/ We're both in this, I didn't make you rob, we can leave once you solve your problem and make you less of a street snob." She stood up and wobbled, never being on her own two feet. A fairy princess never stood on solid ground and soiled her feet....this would mean her crown if anyone found out.
She wandered around, ignoring the girl's whereabouts, leaving her where she had last left her. She poked and prodded at the small nick nacks that lay about in the church as decorations.(( why yes it does..>__> a certain... someone.... )) She gave a nasty glare at the fairy.
'Why you insolent little brat, you're the one who coaxed me into this. Wench.' She retorted in her mind, seeing as how the fairy couldn't read it and glances away disdainfully. She gave a quiet sigh and watches as the fairy stumbles and wobbles over the church.
She made her way to the altar and stared at the main figure head of the chuch the Royal Kingdom worshipped. They called him a saviour, but she saw him differently, more like a devil. His teachings have taught others to shun others who don't believe in him, but at the same time he claims that everyone is his children.
But to the public's eyes, she was nothing more than a filthy street rat heaten. She turned her face away in disgust, trying to rid herself of the thoughts and turned her attention back at the fairy, trying to see if she got the hang of walking yet. She must admit, it was quite amusing to see.
