Jaeger_Ayers Kyle_Rayner Drura Sehpt And, I can't believe I'm saying this, but Johns isn't that bad. During 52, he was awesome. On "Up, Up, and Away" he was great. eek You need to slap yourself ten thousand times. Who are you?! eek And wasnt he always just a "co-writer" on Superman titles? It was all Busiek, AFAIK. Someone who has seen past Johns Derangement Syndrome. The guy is a really solid writer. I really have no clue why people don't like him. I think it was Rucka that said it in the 52 exit interviews on Newsarama, that Johns' biggest weakness is that he writes what he thinks would "be/look cool". That's why we got things like Impulse getting kneecapped.
What co-writing did (both on 52 and the Superman titles) was balance him out a bit. He's not perfect, but he's better.

To be honest I liked the storyline with Impulse becoming Kid Flash. I always saw Bart for what he was, but also what he could be. The character stepped up his game after that, and I think it was a good thing.

I like my entertainment in a way because its something that I cannot do. Sports, they are atheletes, and I cant pull off what they can. Olympics, wrestling, music, movies, anime, same thing. But when it comes to comics, I feel like I could certainly write a better story than Geoff Johns.

Are we talking about the same person? What did you think of Rebirth? Rebirth never should have happened. It tossed aside years of good stories and character developement for Hal Jordan. I thought Kyle was handled respectfully, and if he wasn't I'd have really been pissed off. The story in and of intself was good, but it's a case of a writer being given an assignment that never should have been issued and making the best of it. That being said, Johns has not made me interested at all in Hal Jordan as a character. All the interesting stuff got stripped away during Rebirth. I gave the title a shot but dropped it. I still like Johns's work though.

The chance of me writing a comic for DC is about as great as the chance of Geoff Johns becoming an IT Desktop Support Services tech level II for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Geoff Johns writes rehashed crap, and follows the script that I posted earlier. I think I can do better. And if the editors didnt like it, Id ******** quit. Id rather be known as the guy who quit because of editorial restrictions, than be known as the guy who shitted on ten years of Green Lantern tales.
