Morrigan watched Konton skeptically, unsmiling and dark.
She didn't believe him.
"I have people to take care of in my own realm." she shook her head. "What am I supposed to do about them, Konton?"
Or her siblings? They would certainly remember her... Kazuhiko...
They wouldn't forsake them.
She wouldn't forsake them either.

Yuki nodded. "That's going to be tough..." she admitted. "I'm not sure what to do of it either. Where's Kazu-kun??"

Shiori blinked. "You? You can make tea without ruining it?" she asked in disbelief, but after he started to look a bit sour she smiled. "Was it good?"
Well, she could at least offer him that much.

Shiori glanced from her half-full cup to Aled, sipping and blinking a few more times before setting it down.
"Dreams are much more fanciful than real life I suppose. This tastes horrible."
She could hardly hold back her grin, but it was evident in her eyes.
It it was so bad, why was she still holding back the urge to drink it?
She liked picking on him.

Yuki jerked back to a more attentive stature, kicking off the station and skidding to a stop in front of Watari.
She shed the labcoat once again to put on a special pair of goggles, taking off her shoes as she went back into the rejuvenation chamber.
She placed a hand on his shoulder, prompting him to remain calm while she checked his wound; as far as she could tell, he was healing considerably quicker.
Whatever she had added to the tank---she had it marked on her clipboard---had done wonders.
He would still need a considerable amount of bedrest however. It would undoubtedly scar.
She carefully lifted him to the surface, taking a long, full breath as she unhooked him. "Daijoubu ka, Watari-san??" she asked quietly, eyes searching his. "How are you breathing?? Does anything hurt?? Do you want to rest in here for a while longer? I took care of Ouji-sama, those things are out of his blood, but the machine I used was destroyed in the process... I'm so glad you're alright..."

Morrigan shook her head. "They'll go to war with you, and there's a better likelihood of us winning than you...I am their leader. They won't take such a removal and insult lightly. I want their safety. If I forget I had powers, I'd be forgetting I was their leader, and the last thing we need is senseless death. I want to keep them out of this. You've eaten enough of my people already..."

"Oh really???" Shiori raised an eyebrow. "Are you so sure??"
She watched him closely, grinning before taking another sip. "No, you're right." she couldn't hold it back anymore, smiling secretly. "It's alright."
Still not delicious. She was still jerking his chain.

Yuki softened, seriously relieved. "Youkatta..." she sighed deeply. "Because it's getting hard to stay awake looking after you, Watari-san..."
She carefully supported him as she helped him out, smiling. "A lot of people were worried about you, see?" she glanced to Hapushi.
She had a feeling he'd recognize her. How couldn't he? It was his sister.
Once he was out she began to dry him off, carefully dressing the wound with plenty of the green patches.
"I bet you never thought we'd know, Watari-kun." Kaguyo spoke up, moving to his side. "You two are terrible at keeping secrets, too much alike..."
If he didn't know before, he did now.
Kaguyo gestured Hapushi over, nodding affirmatively. "C'mere hun, it's alright."

"But without me there, without my powers, without me acting as leader, they WILL attack." Morrigan tried to explain. "I NEED to stay with them Konton-sama..."

Morrigan blanched. "I couldn't be without him." she answered shortly. "I can't. Don't make me forsake him..."
People be damned, Vincent was taking care of them already. She knew it was selfish, but part of her trusted that Morrigan wouldn't forsake her priestess daughter of the same name.
Po-ar was meant to be priest of her peoples, and the goddess had chosen him to be her consort for a reason. Look at Kazuhiko! Did she need anymore proof??
And to think she had even considered giving weight to those moments of doubt...
"I'm loyal to Po-ar beyond anything." she shook her head. "I won't leave him. I won't desert him and Kazuhiko... I would rather die." she hardened.
Her energy was starting to rocket again, her skin seeming more pale than usual; she seemed to have almost a moonlike glow, her eyes shining brightly.
She could visualize the darkness from Konton spreading through her body; she started to force her own energy to try and drive it back out.
Unfortunately, this proved to be much more difficult than most sludge to be found on Earth and its associated realms.
It would take a considerable amount of time, if she even could...


Kaguyo bit her lip. "Su-kun and I both figured it out... neither of you sleep..." she spoke quietly. "But I'm the one who called her here. We didn't know if you were going to make it... I wasn't going to rob her of seeing you again if you passed."

Shiori shrugged. "Maybe."
Yes.
She also liked keeping people on their toes.
"What would you prefer?"

Yuki smiled. "How sweet... Hapushi-chan, help me carry your brother to the cot I prepared. He needs to stay close in case anything goes wrong..." she yawned deeply, obviously quite exhausted herself. "I'll keep watch over him for a while longer... if someone could make a pot of coffee---Po-ar?? You could probably make it better than I..."
Coffee was no replacement for sleep. Yuki knew this as well as everyone, but she sure as hell was gonna try.

Morrigan sighed. "Again... and what, and how, exactly would you alter them?"

Shiori just chuckled, smiling. "Then apparently you don't want me."
Bam.
In truth, she wanted to see how he'd respond to that blow.

"Not necessarily." Shiori answered, catlike eyes closing slightly with smug contentment. "I could tease you about how feminine you are in comparison to me, and it wouldn't have any gratitude to it."

"Iie, I'm not taking any risks." Yuki told him firmly. "You think that you're going to get out of this without the same stern orders you gave Aled-sama, for example? Iie, iie, no way in hell, none. If you're sleeping in your room, I want the place prepped for the SLIGHTEST emergency. If you think Aled-sama had it bad, Watari-kun---san---you don't understand that you literally should not be alive right now. I don't know how you survived that, Watari-san, anyone else would have been killed outright. I'm not going to take anything for granted."
She was already starting to gather all the medical tools she needed and stacking them on a tray, before forcing Watari to sit down in a wheelchair. "Now, for starters, you don't need to aggravate that anymore than you already have. You're not walking, not until the muscles are repaired." she scolded, starting to wheel him to his room.
She figured either Hapushi would follow with the medical supplies or she'd make a quick trip to get them.
"Now I know this is hard to believe, but you're going to have to follow the rules just as closely as anyone else Watari-san."

Morrigan sighed. "I was just curious." she answered honestly. "So I knew what to think about before you took it from me."

Aled smirked, "You're under the assumption that such a statement wouldn't be a compliment."

"I told you, I'm fine." Watari replied, though he knew how big a lie that was.
Hapushi did follow with the needed medical supplies, but she remained quiet.
"Besides," the scientist continued. "You can't watch over me twenty-four seven, Yuki-san. We were trying to figure out whys to aid the fight, remember?"
Stuck in a wheelchair... the scientist felt helpless and, well, useless.
It was frustrating to no end...
