Alanu groaned holding her blade up in front of her blocking each strike as they came "Don't get too into it, you still have to fight later remember" she mumbled countering the attack with a series of downward strikes followed by one going upwards "I'm sure you'll be fine with whatever job you end up doing, might even take up adventuring for a living for all I know"

Hebal rubbed her ear in thought "Well you see Oassu and Felina knew eachother like a year before getting all serious and stuff so really they had been together like what a year and a half maybe before he proposed" she guessed playing with her pudding fork "I don't know exact dates but in comparison those two have only been a couple for a month so, its too soon for folk to marry"

Mari giggled "Ok ok I should've known not to go TOO easy on you" she said swiftly evading Alanu, teleporting back a few feet leaving a dark aura behind where she was standing that Alanu sliced through. "Stop a moment" she sighed reaching into a drawer and taking a sip of a potion "Sorry my powers are out of control right now I'll really need to learn to keep them in check" she said downing the rest of the potion before rushing into attack again with a series of lightning-fast diagonal blows "So why would Yusti be better? I'd think your height would prove a major advantage considering you can fly to compensate for it" she asked.

Zadina nodded contemplating the situation stirring his milkshake slightly with the straw "I suppose so.....still they seem to have made a lot of progress for a month, Oassu too since normally elven courtship takes a few years" he shrugged "Elves generally take more time to know their partners since they have more time but Felina is nice in that she loves a human" he said happily.

Alanu sighed wondering to herself how Mari had managed to stay out of trouble caused by her abilities "Yeah but all gria are short and all gria can fly so it's nothing that big. Besides, Yusti's main weapon is a sword where as this is was more a side project to me" she explained shuffling back slightly to avoid each strike "Is there nobody you can for help in dealing with your abilities? They seem to be holding you back a lot" she asked landing temporarily for a moment before shooting herself off into the air for a series of fast downward strikes

Hebal shrugged swinging bak on her chair "I dunno... probably just as far off. I wouldn't rule the whole thing out one day but it's just... partly that I guess I am either picky as to who to see and stuff or I just haven't found the person thats my soulmate yet. That and gotta bear Amane in mind, she needs to like whoever I settle down with too" she answered picking out one of the larger chunks of chocolate from the milkshake.

Mari giggled "Sorry but I meant the sorta teleporty thing earlier and I'd assumed the battle was over when you were disarmed" she said happily "I wouldn't drop my guard so easily in the arena" she said.

Zadina nodded "Ok Miss Hebal that sounds like a good plan but Miss Amane might be grown up some more and off adventuring with me by the time you meet your soulmate so she may not be too much trouble you know?" he said.

Alanu scratched her head thinking things over "No that move will not be allowed within the matches, only a few skills are allowed to be used within the arena listed on where ever your rule booklet is in the room, maybe under the bed. The time limit to retrieve a weapon is 10 seconds so if you can stop them for that long you will win" she stated performing a couple of back flips while she waited to see if Mari wished to continue.
