Ryou slowly looked up at Khalid, struggling not to cry. "Khalid... I swear, if you're lying--" He growled, anger burning in his eyes. "Of course not." Khalid said, leaning over and kissing Ryou's forehead. "I'm telling you this now instead of a few days ago because I didn't want to upset you. You have my word that, one way or another, I'm reviving Kira." Ryou was still hesitant to believe Khalid and flinched slightly at his touch.

Ryou got to his feet, picking Kai up. "If you really are telling the truth Khalid, then I thank you. More than I could possibly express in words. But if this is just a joke to you, I'll kill you." He said coldly, holding his son close to him. Khalid laughed. "You know you can't kill me, Ryou. But you won't need to. As I said before, I'm telling the truth. You can truth me." Ryou just stared blankly at Khalid, then shook his head and turned to go back into the house. Khalid sighed. How much did a guy have to do to redeem himself?

Kai giggled happly nuzzling to his father.
Ember was curently sitting on the couch eating. Kawi had brought overa ton of snacks. Ember was watching kawi and yugi fight in a video game. Ate, was sitting beside her on the couch.

"This isn't fair." Yugi whined, struggling to overcome Atem in the game. "You're the friggin' king of games. I don't stand a chance! Sheesh..." Atem didn't actually know how he was winning. He hadn't understood the controls too well. But here he was, kicking some serious digital a**. "Stop whining and just focus on your moves."

Ember chuckled happly as she poped another chip in her mouth. "Go go!" she cheared.

The fighting match ended, with Atem being the obvious winner. He would have rubbed it in Yugi's face, but didn't feel like being mean to his hikari. Oh, who was he kidding. He would have rubbed it in Yugi's face, only the phone had rung, stopping him from even boasting. "I'll get it." He remarked, jumping to his feet. He didn't want Ember getting up for something like that. He bounded over to the phone, picking it up. "Ello?" "That's not fair." Yugi grumbled, tossing the controller down. "Its not fair at all."

Kawi giggled and took a controler "I'll play yugi!" she said.
Ember smiled softly. Ever since atem found out she was pregnant he had been making sure she dident do a thing. She tried to explain that she was ok and that she could do it butatem could be a bit stuborn.

"You're on!" Yugi said, glad that someone besides his vicious yami would play this game. "Oh, hey, Ryou." Atem greeted, recognizing the voice on the other line. He was quiet for a little bit, and his expression darkened slightly. "Well... yeah. He came by a few days ago and told us. What did he tell you?" He listened to his friend's response. "I would have liked to tell you, Ryou, but Khalid said it would be better if we didn't. Yes, we. He told most of us." Atem frowned a little, though Ryou wouldn't be able to see it, of course. "Well, don't get angry at me. He's your husband, after all." Atem snapped, starting to get seriously angry at Ryou.

Embersighed and got up. She then walked to atem holding her hand out to take the phone.

Atem hesitated slightly, but grudgingly handed Ember the phone, glaring at it slightly.

There was a slight pause before Ryou said slowly, "Hello, Ember. Khalid is just now telling me he plans to revive Kira. Have you known about this?"

"Yes Ryou I have known.Hecame to us asking advice to if he sghould do it...It was a stupid question but ya know...." Ember sighed "Ryou the reason he asked up not to tell you was because he dident want you to be hurt if he wasent able to do it."

"You really think anything else can hurt me?" Ryou asked, his voice icy. After waking up and finding Kira dead in front of him... Ryou would have thought that was the end of his life there. Everything else hardly mattered to him. "What I don't like is how you all listened to Khalid. Since when does Atem do as Khalid says? I should have been told before this. I had a right to know if Khalid was planning something like this."
