I woke up, a little more tired than usual and I looked out my window and saw Shadow walking around in the gardens behind the house. I hurried to throw on a t-shirt and jeans, and a pair of sneakers so I could get down to him quickly. I started walking out the door then decided to take the faster route and jumped out the window landing a little ways from him, "morning stranger" I said as I caught up

"Morning Vicki. How are youing on this... fine night" Shadow said with a smile as he turned to Vickilyn. He looked her up and down for a moment then shook his head. "Still jumping out of windows I see. What have you been doing these past few days. We have hardly seen you?" he added as he started to walk again, gesturing for Vickilyn to follow.

I followed him, sniffing his scent had changed, "Just practicing a few things, getting ready for this thing with Lillith" I said taking a piece of gum from my pocket and popping it into my mouth, "want a piece?" I asked holding it out to him. "And you've been up to something, I can smell it, your scent has changed..." I paused wondering "what did you do?"

Rey cmae back down to the ground and retracted his wings. he headed over to the gardens where he saw vickilyn and shadow conversing ( yea pretty big word eh?). He ran over next to shadow and joined in the conversation
why was I banned? What did I do? what were the complaints? who is mad at me?

"You need all the practice you can get and frankly... so do I. I'm more rusty than I thought." he said, laughing at himself. "OOO gum." he said as he took a piece and poped it in his mouth. He couldn't help but laugh when Vickilyn started acusing him of being up to something. "Why do you always asume that I have been up to something? I have done nothing at all Vicki... it was all Nadea." he said with a smile as he tapped his head.

"I knew it!" I said excitedly, "she helped get rid of the beast didn't she!" I said almost jumping um and down with excitement "you're usually up to something so I like to assume, from experience." Then I got serious all of a sudden "and what do you mean I need practice?" I said sarcastically as soon as I said this I blew a giant bubble and popped it.

Shadow smiled, "Yes, she helped me get rid of that thing. I am now a free man." he said as he broke out into a little dance but quickly stopped it. "I am usualy up to soemthing arn't I but hey, I am a new man now... so you can expect me to be causing more trouble." he said with a small laugh afterwards. "Well... you always need practice. You have been out of practice for almost as long as me you know. Then again, you are gettign as old as me." Shadow joked.

I giggled a little at his dance then crossed my arms when he said I was getting as old as him, "I am not, I'm no where near as old as you" I said in a childish voice. Then I noticed Rey, "gum not drugs" I said not really knowing how he jumped to that conclusion. "But I'm happy that you're free, and alot less trouble" I said to Shadow as I blew another bubble.

"You are getting there Vickilyn. Just look at the way you are folding your arms. It is the same way I do it." Shadow said as he mimiced Vickilyn. "See?" he joked. "It is great to be free of him and guess what I can do now." he said with a grin. He was fileld with a new energy that he hadn't felt since he was a much younger man. "They are not related Rey. I have been smoking but just in my crypt so far since that is were I have been spending my time." he said to Rey.

I scoffed playfully at him as I continued walking looking at the garden, then I heard him say 'guess what?' one of my favorite phrases. "Hmm, let me think" I said exaggerating as I put my hand on my chin "you're pregnant? Nadea is? Wait, you got me a puppy?" I said blurting out dumb and out of the blue answers, "you stubbed your toe? You fell in the crypt? I fell? You're allergic to gum?...." the questions went on for a while
