Tyr- ::The vampire was slightly disgruntled with the answer that Zio had given him but it was clear that he would have to worry about that later. He slowly pushed the chair out from his desk standing to his feet. Next he grabbed his sword, and staff from his bed. He began to move out of his lair, and toward the citadel's barrier. Toward his opponents::

Al- ::Albert too began to move from his spot atop the buildings as soon as Tyrsais pushed the chair out from his desk. Albert began to weave through the buildings down the streetways, and as soon as Tyrsais rounded the corner leading to the main road out of the citadel. The two would be walking at the same pace, and be right aside each other::

I assume we are going to welcome our visitors master?

Ayiana growled and looked at the woman, she leaned over and scooped up her shuriken and kunai, then charged them with hylden energy to explode on impact. She was about to throw them at the woman but stopped, no she wouldn't fight, no agression, if she wanted her mother back she would wait. She didn't know this woman so who was to say she wasn't friend to the citadel though it sure didn't look to be so.

((I am sorry for my second day with no posting, but give me a break for this one. I just got home at 2:30 in the morning from a 12 hour shift at Targer. Leave me alone.))

*There seemed to be a pause in the explosions, since the force attacking the barrier had changed targets. It gave at least some relief to Nana and the children for now. Events being what they were, it was interesting or perhaps strange that both Eecheb and Trilla became suddenly hungered. It might have been the situation itself, then again, just when had either of them last had a bite? Proto had given Nana a glass of water, so she would be all right for a while. Of course having no stomaches, there would be no growling to alert one to the fact that they were hungry. Only they could tell someone, but would they? Nana would sigh lightly, and look about once the tremors subsided a bit*

Thanatos_M
*Though Ayiana's display of diarmament was appreciated, it didn't solve the standoff. At least D was listening to him, and Than returned the favor. There was truth in the idea that one of the generals would have likely answered D, had he been less pugnacious in his approach. Still, that didn't mean they would be turned away. Than couldn't be entirely sure what he would have done, since his circumstances hadn't been similar to what D was doing. One thing Than despised though was D using Kai as a speech tool to persuade him. Many people he didn't like had done that in the past. For one brief moment, Than saw not D before him but instead saw Dom and Apollo*.....Don't you dare bring her into this. My left arm and my left eye are my testament that I tried not to fight...... I want you to have Phia back and I want her to be alive again, if she's truly dead. However, I can't let this intrusion go any further? Perhaps you can talk to my father.... but this citadel is still under attack..... there's nothing that can be done at this time. Or do you really think Otosan will hear you at this time? You have my word that if Phia really is here then I'll do anything I can to get her back to you, but I have to protect my home and family before I can do the same for yours..... *Than was more or less playing a cornered snake. He had too many things to take into consideration and was going to move against the next thing to assail his desires*

Proto: *Proto didn't mind the child latching to his arm. In a way, it was what he'd hoped she'd do, since Eecheb seemed rather unwilling to warm up to Trilla right now. Proto would crouch down slightly, so Trilla would have more free grip of him. Nana might be happy to see Proto able to work so well around the kids.... and it seemed the kids had already taken to him*

*The droids made sure that they were clear of any fire occuring. Both the ground and aerial units continued to converge on Tegral's army, but they also kept distant. Because their target's target had changed, they would observe and decide what the best course of action was. For now, it was just D and KB*

Draeken kept on without relenting, "If you really have your families best interest in mind, then at the very least go inquire about Phia to Mastema yourself. I will wait here and do nothing. Unless you trust me so little that you wouldnt even do that." His eyes began to heat slowly, his anger rising. "But if you trust me so little, then you are putting your family in danger. I will not leave this place until Phia is returned to me. You just said that you would do everything you could. I will hold you to that."

The creatures would find it incredibly difficult to fight their way through Kahlendria's armor. It was thick and nearly built into her. As she pushed against the mass, the shielding built under her chestplate kicked in. If the beings were energy-based, they'd crash into the protective sphere simply to be absorbed and fueal the shield.

Of course, as she pushed onwards the two lasers mounted on either side of her helm repeatedly fired. She was going to make it through them, even if she had to be flayed alive doing so. Each heavy step only brought her closer to her goal, as her feet dug into the earth.

Unfortunately for Kahlendria and her energy shield, the creatures were indeed physical and not energy based. They would not be added to her shield as fuel. And if she wished to be torn to ribbons, they would do it eventually. With every step she took forward, their attacks grew more dogged, more determined to rip through that armor and shielding of hers and attain her blood, which they so hungered for.

The lasers upon her helm would do little to hinder them except slow down their attacks, whenever they actually hit. Not even the smell of burnt flesh would arise from their bodies.
Were one drop of blood of hers to be shed, they would swarm that one wound, no matter how large or tiny, and forces themselves upon it, tearings it wider. This would happen only of course, were she to be wounded.

Tegral
Tegral's technological menace was out in the forest, waiting and watching, while Tegral himself was casually strolling towards D and Kahlendria's little skirmish. Energy readings were being compiled into Tegral's sub-systems, measuring the energy read outs of D's barrier, Kahlendria's ion pulses, as well as the heat produced from those flames on D's sword.

The mechanized war monger faded into sight off to D's right, his shadowed figure half hidden behind the trunk of a tree. The only reason he wasn't completely hidden was because he wanted D to see him. The faint glow of orange-blue light engulfing his entire right arm cast an eriee glow over the immediate area. A half whicked smile encroaching on his lips as the carbon-titanium shutters flipped open on his arm, a raging malestrome of plasmic flames roared to life, seering the bark off the tree almost instantly and setting the leaves and base of the tree aflame. "I wield the devil's flames." He murmured, too softly to be heard over the roar of the flames on his arm, even if they were standing right beside him.

The Draeken standing outside would simply be gone, as the barrier that protected him from the bombardment disappeared after the attack. It seemed as if he was now completely ignoring the fact that there was a large amount of artillery firing at him. For a moment, he would be completely unseen and unfelt. That is until he appeared from the shadows behind Tegral. "You shouldnt announce yourself like that, if you truly want to attack. I suggest you speak now as to whether you are friend or foe."

His sword was gone and he now carried no visible weaponry. His aura would seem only a faded residue of power, as if he were hiding it, but couldnt possibly hide it completely. His emerald green eyes held a depth to them that seemed endless and cavernous, yet seemed full of enough knowledge to drown the world in. They also held a light within them that spoke of death kept on a frayed leash, ready to be let loose at any moment.

Stopping, Kahlendria stood fast and began to simply knock them aside with her arms. The chainsaw came down at them once more, being driven by her generator to speeds that would allow it to cut through titanium, or other metals. She did bleed slightly, and the stuff seemed to only drive the creatures into a berserking frenzy. Continually trying to simply hold her position, she laughed to herself.

The army had finnally advanced, and the troops took aim at D and began to fire. A large barrage of machine-gun fire, as well as shells and beam weapons came in towards D. They were quite out of range from the blasts of their comrades, and as such they simply enjoyed shooting at the lone man.

The chainsaw would only produce small squeals of pain from the creatures, equal to a man flinching as if he had been poked with a needle. They would now be focusing mainly on the cut that had appeared on the woman, each and every one of them seemed to alter their shape so that they could all get at least a finger hold on the wound to try and tear it open and produce a larger one. Those that couldnt crowd in near the wound would furiously try to make more on the woman's body. Those not trying to wound her, seemed to be trying to tear any visible weaponry from her.
