The 'woman' had taken good note of the weapon effects on the Citadel, and more importantly, on the way the two had attempted entry. As far as she could tell, there was no evidence to support the fact that they had indeed made their way inside.
With a shrug, she started towards the newly aquired destination. A few things danced across her vision before flickering off, as she tweaked herself to allow full-combat functionality. After all, she didn't need her attention diverted by useless things during a training excercise.

Draeken Aakarshan Stop the clone did indeed, though not because the energy impeded it. It knew where it had come from and likely whom, and as Than rose into the air, his suspicions were proven correct. "Thanatos. Heh. Mastema sending you out to greet his guests now? I thought you better than a doorman." His tone was far from friendly and frankly, he sounded as if he didnt expect a reply. Whether he even cared about a reply was debateable. "I'm here for my wife. I suggest you bring her to me before I begin tearing this place apart to look for her. I know that she is here." His eyes never moved from Than's, his face showing just as much emotion as the other man's. Obviously Draeken was not there to talk or play. Draeken would hold eye contact for a moment longer before turning his head to look at Ayiana. "I suggest you stay away from me for the time being. Start searching if you would like. Don' argue." This time his tone said that he would accept no argument. The suggestion was more an order. Outside the barrier, Draeken sighed. "Than. I hope he can be sensible. I would rather not see him get hurt. A strong kid I do not doubt, but...I cannot let anyone, even him, get in my way." He closed his eyes for a moment as if saying a prayer beforehand, in the event anyone he liked was to die in there within the next few minutes. When his eyes opened once again they were alight with the same determined and well constrained fury as before. "Thanny!" The words fell from her lips before realized it. Part of her still was Aria and she thought of him as family. He wouldnt recognize her in this form even thought she looked similar to her original body. She heard her father and nodded, the distraction would work to her advantage, she continued to fly towards the tower.

*Than was curious of D's explanation for being here, but his stare did not change from accusational* Why would Phia-san be here? There's no one here except for myself as well as everyone who is allowed here. *Than sighed. It was possible that something was in the citadel he didn't know about. Was Mastema really in possession of Phia? Than didn't even know that Phia was dead, so it made no sense to him as to why Mastema would want to keep her. Than hesitated for a moment to act on incomplete information, but that was soon put to rest; Thanatos clenched his fist* I don't know why you're here, but I don't really care. You're threatening people precious to me and at this moment my only purpose is to stop you, doorman or not. You won't pass without being rid of me.... *Without wondering how Ayiana knew his name, Than turned to her* And that means you too! *In another pulse of aura, Than spread his aura so that it was in Ayiana's path*
Fenton: ._., *Nana would find Fenton still where he was, just more skittish since the impacts*

*Nana could understand why Fenton felt the way he did, infact she felt the same way if only a little. Trilla also appeared to share Fenton's feelings, as was made apparent by the child clinging to one of her brother's arms. The other was attempting to get some rest while the seige went on, and the one being clung to was feeling a little anxious to get away. Nana would watch Fenton with half curious eyes, the small thing was still a bit of a mystery to her. In all her years, Nana hadn't ever seen a creature such as Fenton, until the citadel that was*

The clone sighed. "You yourself are putting those you care about in danger." He shook his head as if explaining his reasoning behind that would come later. "I know Mastema has Phia here. She was being kept at Xol's keep in a rejuvination tank when Mastema went there. Shortly after, the place blew up and not even a microscopic trace of Phia was found there. The most probable thing that happened is that Mastema found her body and brought it here. She might be a vampire and therefore undead, but without her soul, even that body is completely lifeless and will not move of its own accord." His eyes continued to meet Than's stare as if the man was nothing more than a housepet.
Noticing though that Thanatos has blocked Ayiana, he grumbled. "Let her pass. She will not harm anything; will you Ayiana?" The clone looked to her breifly with a glare that could have shattered stone. "I do not want her within a mile of us if we are to fight...If it comes to that. Which brings me to my original statement. Your stopping me is putting the people you care about in danger. As much as I hate Mastema I would much rather solve this peacefully and quickly and be on my way. I know there is at least one child here and for anything to happen to him...It would sadden me to know I had accidentally harmed a child. Even the child of my enemy. I suggest you inquire about Phia." He paused for a moment, but then added, "If you insist on being in my way however, I cannot be held responsible for any loss of life caused by any battle we may have. I have given you the opportunity to solve this peacefully." After that, he was silent.
Remaining outside the barrier, Draeken gritted his teeth. "Light, let Than be sensible and take the peaceful solution."

She looked over to Thanny. Clearly annoyed by being stopped. "Thanny...I'm Aria...It's hard to explain but my body and Aethi, another girl, our body's became one...So we could come here and get my mother back. That's all we want...really..." Her eyes pleaded with him. "My mother is dead....all I want is her body back so we can revive her....please..." She sighed. "You must understand...I won't hurt anyone unless provoked and I'll try my hardest to avoid any sort of confrontation." She pressed against his aura. "Just let me try to find her..."

*D and Aria weren't really giving much effort to explain things to Than, since they were just throwing any information they could recall at him; he couldn't take in all the information in a rational manner. Phia was dead? Xol was rejuvinating her? Aria and someone else had fused into one body? They claimed they didn't want to cause harm, yet their first choice of action was attack? None of it seemed to be persuasive to him. He addressed both of them simultaneously, making his stand* Well then if what you say is true, D-san, then I'm the one to blame. It was my plan that lead to the downfall of Xol's home. I didn't know that Phia was there. But even if she was there and is now here, then you owe us..... you owe my father for having the grace to save his enemies wife, I should think. If you want Phia-san back peacefully.... then why was your first plan to break in!? Have you made any attempt to ask for her back from my father!? I can't grant your requests, D-san. This is my home, but I don't command it. My only goal is to stop you from getting past this point, and I wont' have any choice but to assume that any attempt to do so from this point forward is an attack. I don't want to fight you, and I certainly don't want to be your enemy...... but regardless of what you want, you are invading my home, and threatening people I care about. Maybe it's not too late to resolve this peacefully.... but you aren't the only ones invading the citadel.... I can't just let you go around at a time like this.... *It did make sense. The citadel was under attack by multiple enemies. To ask for Than to let them go was most likely futile*
Fenton: ._., Mew~~..... *Fenton didn't do much to move from his spot, but every so often he would make a cat-like sound*
Proto: *Seeing that Trilla was the most discomforted of the children, Proto felt the need to try and help. Standing near her and her brother, Proto reached over and lightly patted the girl's head*
*Outside, the barrage on the BG 41's and Tegral would continue. Missles and gunfire would reign down on the battalion, as the assault team manuveured to evade any retaliatory fire. At the same time, there were more and more mechs approaching from a distance, gradually making their way out of unattended spots of the citadel. Large heavy mechs and quick light mechs, the 2Bs and 3Bs, were making their way towards Teg's group. The Beta Zenos would also make their way there soon*

Ayiana sighed. "We've not attacked as of yet Have we? just moved past the barrier..." she sighed. "And ask your father for my mother's body back? He tried to killed her while she was pregnant with me! Honestly I doubt that man would give her back...I don't know what his plan would be to keep her body...To tourture my father and I? We aren't his enemies! I only want my mother!" She sighed, she could see this was going no where and pulled out all her shuriken, and kunai she held them up to Thanny and then dropped them to the ground, every single one. "Fine...then take me to your father and I'll ask him for my mother...I'll beg If I have to. If he has even half a heart he should realize what a cruel thing it is to keep a child from her mother...I know that If i were to try and fight your father I'd get myself killed so why would I bother? You told me to ask him, so I shall."

*It was still hard to tell if Micha was asleep or not at this point, but if he truly felt safe then odds were he found his peace and quiet, and was indeed by now asleep. Nana would pan her gaze around to Proto as he moved about and over to Trilla. The child had decided that Proto was just as worthy to be clung to as Eecheb, and so Trilla switched from Eecheb's arm to Proto's. That at least gave Eecheb a little room to breath again, his tail swatted the back of his robe violently for a moment or two after his sister relinquished his arm. So, living or no, at least Proto was being appriciated. It was nice to see that the prototype had integrated so well into the children's daily lives. Technology would later in life become a close friend of theirs, and an essencial one. Nana was happy for now, the children were more or less ok and she had faith in Mastema's abilities to protect the place all of them called home*

"No Ayiana. I wont let you go to him by yourself." He looked back at Thanatos and shook his head. "Likely were we to just knock on the barrier, one of Mastema's henchmen would have come and tried to send us away. Sure, I have come here rather forcibly, but have I started tearing apart things yet? Have I begun to try and kill Mastema or yourself yet? My first plan was to get in and seek a peaceful way to get Phia's body back." His glare became harder then, if that was possible. "You are the one insisting on fighting, even if you don' want to." It was the simple truth. The only aggression Draeken had truly shown was entering the barrier. Other than that, there was nothing to show that he meant to immediately begin blowing things up. "I will talk to Mastema myself if I must, but to do that, you must let me to him. Escort me if you absolutely must."
For a long moment he would pause before sighing heavily. "And what you point out about us being thankful to him for saving Phia's body is true. Were it not for his likely intervention, she would be lost to myself and Aria forever. I am thankful for Mastema's taking her, but that's as far as it goes. While I wish for a peaceful solution to all of this, if it comes to it I will not hesitate in fighting for my wife. What would you do were it yourself in this position. Yourself and Kai. Would you peacibly knock on the door of someone you hate and immediately sit down and discuss everything over a hot cup of tea? As much as that would be most desirably course of action, I cannot make myself do that. Could you were you in my shoes?" His eyes were still hard, his face emotionless yet...there was something about the way his eyes were set now, the tone of his voice, that said he was practically pleading for that peaceful solution.
Draeken, on the outside, was still grinding his teeth in impatience. He did not want to have to unleash the trap in the dummy on Than. He would rather it not come to using that at all, but if it did, he would prefer it happen with Mastema in the area. "Come on you fool!" He noticed then, after some time, that a random scientist had waved at him. "Well...That's interesting..."
Then he heard gunshots. Lots of gunshots. Suddenly his face went from blank calmness to open range. With his second senses extended widely around him, he could see where every attack was coming from. Mostly he was angry with himself for not noticing it all sooner. As the massive barrage neared him, everything seemed to slow down. Not truly, but to him, everything seemed to nearly stop. During this time, what ran through Draeken's head was this: "Die." Then his sense of time sped back up and the shells all began to explode well before hitting him. Perhaps about one hundred feet before they reached him. Draeken stood stock still, his hair and clothing being blown in every direction as blast after blast erupted around him.
Screaming filled the air around him, but it was not of pain. It was amusement. With each explosion of what seemed to be ion energy, there was a shadow that should not have been there. Every shadow was almost exactly the same, looking like some perverted cross between a dragon and a human. Each time an explosion erupted, there was one of those shadows in front of it. Obviously, these were the beings that had protected Draeken when he first awoke during his evil spree.
These beings were not providing an impregnable defense however. Slowly, inch by inch by inch they were giving ground, but only when standard HE rounds hit them. They seemed to be more vulnerable to such weapons. The ion energy they seemed to enjoy as if it were a warm bath.
As soon as the explosions would cease, every beast that surrounded Draeken would quickly fade back into invisibility and surge after Kahlendria. For the most part, she would only sense a massive amount of movement around her before the beasts would begin trying to pummel her into the ground.

Draeken grinned at the oncoming barrage of HE shells. In the blink of an eye he held the sword that he only occasionaly used. It was almost six feet long and seemed to glow white with heat, the air around it even rippling from it. He Made a broad horizontal slash towards the shells, sending a large wave of white hot flame at them. Normaly, a wave of fire would do little against a barrage of high speed explosive shells, but fire this hot would cause them all to explode as soon as they met the flames. The remaining ion shot would of course cut through the flames only to smash against a black ball that suddenly surrounded Draeken. The ball was so dark that it seemed to eat the light. It seemed that Draeken had modified his little trick of covering the world with darkness and instead used it to create a shield made of darkmatter.
As for Kahlendria, the beasts wouldn't even be harmed by the chainsaw. The thing would only shatter its teeth against them as they tore at the woman, sensing the energy within her and hungering for it. By now, there were about fifty of them swarming her.

*Though Ayiana's display of diarmament was appreciated, it didn't solve the standoff. At least D was listening to him, and Than returned the favor. There was truth in the idea that one of the generals would have likely answered D, had he been less pugnacious in his approach. Still, that didn't mean they would be turned away. Than couldn't be entirely sure what he would have done, since his circumstances hadn't been similar to what D was doing. One thing Than despised though was D using Kai as a speech tool to persuade him. Many people he didn't like had done that in the past. For one brief moment, Than saw not D before him but instead saw Dom and Apollo*.....Don't you dare bring her into this. My left arm and my left eye are my testament that I tried not to fight...... I want you to have Phia back and I want her to be alive again, if she's truly dead. However, I can't let this intrusion go any further? Perhaps you can talk to my father.... but this citadel is still under attack..... there's nothing that can be done at this time. Or do you really think Otosan will hear you at this time? You have my word that if Phia really is here then I'll do anything I can to get her back to you, but I have to protect my home and family before I can do the same for yours..... *Than was more or less playing a cornered snake. He had too many things to take into consideration and was going to move against the next thing to assail his desires*
Proto: *Proto didn't mind the child latching to his arm. In a way, it was what he'd hoped she'd do, since Eecheb seemed rather unwilling to warm up to Trilla right now. Proto would crouch down slightly, so Trilla would have more free grip of him. Nana might be happy to see Proto able to work so well around the kids.... and it seemed the kids had already taken to him*
*The droids made sure that they were clear of any fire occuring. Both the ground and aerial units continued to converge on Tegral's army, but they also kept distant. Because their target's target had changed, they would observe and decide what the best course of action was. For now, it was just D and KB*

*Trilla seemed fine where she was, still she didn't like the explosions and too much shaking. Now that she knew the shaking was going on, having seen the effects in the bathroom, now the child could feel the tremors when they occured. Most of the weapons were pointed at D now, outside the barrier so that would give some relief. Eecheb would start to inch away from Trilla a bit, just enough to stay out of direct reach. It looked like after he put some distance between himself and his sister, he had calmed down a little more. Indeed it was a pleasant sight, seeing Proto and the children getting along, and hopefully Proto didn't mind it at all. The situation could indeed be worse, and more stressful then it was, so all in all things weren't going all that badly. If it were that bad, the children would all be huddled around Nana no doubt for protection*
