Just been to see the Mummy. The story was rubbish, the woman who played Evy was TERRIBLE, it was WAY too corny and cheesy...BUT...the action was great and I actually enjoyed it whee All I have to say is...you Americans...just don't know how to do humour... wink

Your pretty much right about everything. And it wasn't really a comedy.

At least not as much of a comedy as Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, or Tropic Thunder. And I have to say, Tropic Thunder was AMAZING! whee

I know it wasn't a comedy, but there were loads of scenes where they tried to add humor to it...and for me it just felt silly and stupid..

Okay, let's set this straight. The Mummy movies are action/comedy.
And the Mummy III sucked hairy man balls. The only time it had ANY quality was when there was action going on. The character development was non-existent. In the Mummy II the son was a nerd, and now he's a carbon copy of his dad. Why the hell was the 2000 year old ninja interested in him? The acting was bad, the script was worse (which is why the previous actress who played Evy wouldn't play the part), and all the mystery and puzzle solving the first two movies had in them, and gave them their own flavor, was totally absent.
I really REALLY didn't like the Mummy III.

So basically in you're eyes the Mummy 3 was like how the fourth Indian Jones is to me? xd
Well that's where you and I differ Blade, I went to the Mummy 3 with low standards and just hoping to see a fun flick, I didn't expect it to live up to the previous Mummy movies and I'd heard that it wasn't that good. With that mindset, it was a fun film, not something to see over and over again, but fun. 3nodding xp

I agree with both of you... The script was rubbish, and the film was bad apart from when there was action going on. BUT...I knew that's how the film was going to be, I knew it wasn't going to be like the other 2, so I enjoyed it for what it was. I cringed at the bad bits and enjoyed the action. The second one wasn't even that good anyway, so I knew it was just gunna get worse.

xd There's the positive outlook I know and love.
But yes, it was...okay. I loved Tropic Thunder, but the Mummy 3 was alright for what I was expecting. 3nodding

I was dissapointed with Tropic Thunder. I guess I was expecting too much from it.

That's probably true, it's been hyped A LOT! But I liked it, I think they did a good job with it. 3nodding
"The problem is, you went full retard. You never go full retard." xd It's the stuff like that, that was just so ridiculously out there that it was funny, at least to me anyway.

For me, it's one of those movies that's funnier when you think back at everything.
It was nasty what Stiller was doing with that head, really..
