Sean hesitated, before dropping the shotgun, raising his hands and stepping into the room.

Once he and the Chief were in the room, they saw that room was bathed in a light purple glow, with Maladore standing in the center of the room, his form shrouded in a blazing purple fireball. With a casual flick of the hand, the fireball disapated, a small grin on his face.
"A pleasure to meet you, all of you. As you may know, I am Maladore Locke, the new protector of this city." Maladore said, his voice smooth and calm. His appearance was less than profound, tall, almost starved looking. He was aged, looking to be well into his sixties, and balding on top of it all, "Sean, and Sir Chief of Police, thank you for your cooperation in laying down arms. Hopefully your fellow compatriots in the other room will have the same common sense you two have shown in coming in here."

Sahira dropped her rifle to the floor, powers were back, so technically she didn't need it anyway. However, unlike the others, she decided to hold out outside the room. She was curious, very curious, but she wasn't about to jump into an ice cold lake to get a look at a fish. She preferred to keep her paws dry.

((I also skimed most of them, because I was half awake at the time. If you don't like it, edit it. And Locke didn't notice Min hiding her gun. Hence the term "Hiding".))

Locke raised an eyebrow.
"And Jerhic did better? He let the Angel march several of our soldiers into a needless war, and with the Angel, opened the gates for a flood of crime and degredation. Things can only get better from here." He said raising an irritated brow at the Chief's gun, "Drop it."

((no worries, I had my temper tantrum, and am now fine. I've done it to plenty of posts in the past, and there's nothing that needs to be edited as far as I can see.))

"Jehric never slaughtered his own. He took trained soldiers into war, he didn't unleash an attack on innocent civilians. But I'm not here to debate morals, I've done my own share of dirty work." Minerva placed her hands on her hips, for one it was an intimidating stance, but it also kept her hand that much closer to the gun hidden at the small of her back. "Step down, Locke, and things might go smooth for you. Your forces are more or less defeated, the grid is down, and the angel and his crew are on his way." She was guessing at the last part, no one had heard from the giant army for a while, despite the fact that they should be rather noticeable.

((I didn't know that actually, I'm very tentative at editing other people's posts. But if you're cool with it, I'll keep that in mind for the future and you need not worry.))

"So what prevents us from killing you right now and being done with it?" Minerva asked, her hands twitching for her gun.

"I admit it is a personal preference. But you've failed to give enough support on why that is the case. If we kill you, you can't initiate the launch. If you've already initiated the launch, there's no point to kill you...as you'll be dead with us in a matter of minutes. So it seems, Locke, your death is pretty much assured."

Minerva hid her smile, keep talking, she thought, keep talking. "You think that will save you?"
