The Gym Leader gasped at the strangely colored Crobat that appeared before him. So..Pokemon of other colors do exist! he growled, then sliced the air with his hand. "Crobat! Dodge Astonish and attack with Bite!" With a showing of grace and agility, the purple bat swirled over the green creature and hovered slowly behind him.
With a blast of energy, the Crobat closed in on Fang, his mouth wide open and ready to tear into his opponent. Koga smiled at this and knew from this moment that the battle would really be taking a turn for a more interesting light.

Kilik watched and shook his head. Man, oh man. Koga's in a bind. He slipped his hands into his pockets, then panicked slightly; his PokeNav wasn't there! Then he remembered he switched its location to his breast pocket. Pulling a hand out and up to his chest, the boy snagged his Nav and tossed it up. Good luck, Kas. I'm sure you can beat him. He turned his back on the battle, gazing down at the Navigator.
He took a step into the hallway leading out, sitting down against the wall adjacent from the match. There was low wall in front of him that obstructed his view of the battle, but he was sure he wouldn't miss much. Two Flying-types would do battle high enough were he could see them over the wall, right?
Scanning through the names on his Nav, he paused at M.A.'s. "Oh snap!" he cried out, doing a double take on the object. "Joy told her I'd talk to her in the morning at the Pokemon Center, then I ditched her!" He sighed heavily. Why is it that my newest friends always get the worst impression? Kilik groaned, slapping his forehead and covering his eyes. I...could call her. And with that, he highlighted M.A. on the screen and pressed 'Talk', listening to the ring on the other line.

"Wait, what?! You can't just leave like that! Of course we don't understand you; you don't make any sense! What you're looking for isn't out there! We care about your ambitions, but where you're heading is only going to lead to more pain! We're you friends, Crenu! Listen to us!" Ky yelled. He could feel tears start to well up in his eyes. Everything was happening all of a sudden. Crenu was going insane. "What caused you to change like this?! Who did this to you?!" Ky called out.

"Forget it Ky. I was only looking out for you untill you got on your feet. You're doing fine as a trainer now, and you've got M.A. We would only be in each others way, that is clear to me now. I can now see that my journey for power is one that I have to make on my own."

Fang let out an angered screech, feeling the teeth of his opponent. "Don't take that from him, Fang! Fight back with Steel Wing!" Kasiya called eagerly. She was elated - Koga's surprised look had been the best reward she'd reaped thus far, yet with each passing second her respect for the ninja master grew. He was most definitely a skilled trainer and leader, truly worthy of his post.
Another ear-splitting screech was loosed from the green Crobat's throat as he turned sharply on the spot, his two upper wings glowing a bright silver as he brought them down together on the purple Crobat's head. Then, using the lower pair to steady himself, Fang put some distance between him and the opposing purple bat.

"We will see about that." Stephanie said with a smirk the pointed at the flaming horse standing there proudly. "Viney lets start off with Leech Seed!" Roaring the Venusaur shook his large flower on his back before shooting a group of seeds at Apollo.
"Apollo dodge with your Agility." Not even acknollaging his comand Apollo simply disappeared from sight the only thing that could be heard was the pounding of his hooves on the ground. Seeing the power that Apollo now held a smile grew on Dante's face. He had known that his pokemon had become stronger but never had he imagined that he would become this powerful.
Across from him Stephanie growled in irritation. "You can't run forever! Let's slow them down Viney! Lets use your Sweet Sent!" Once again the large green pokemon shook its large feather on its back only this time a pink powder started to come out. As it wafted through the air, as soon as the scent caught in the Rapidash's flared nostrils the horse's pace started to slow until it reached a trot his nose lifted up into the air smelling the Sweet Sent.
Unlike his pokemon Dante didn't find the scent so relaxing and instead sneezed a few times before covering his nose again. 'Urgh... its to strong...' He thought misserably his eyes starting to tear up even at this distance. "Apollo, you need to snap out of it! Use your Flamethrower or anything really! Just dont fall vitim to the smell." He tried to comand. Apollo however had different thoughts and just kept smelling the scented air.
At the doorway Violet smiled to herself at the sight of her son battling, that and she happened to like the smell. Slowly she backed away before turning to leave the Pokemon Center. She had no more business here, her son was fine and he did not need his mother. Sighing she exited the center giving a small wave to Nurse Joy before mounting her Salamance and heading back to Fuschia City. Perhaps she could take a walk through the Safari Zone to clear her mind some?

Koga felt a splitting pain in his head as the attack connected with his Crobat. A groan escaped him and he placed a shaky hand to his forehead. He watched the green Crobat retreat, then smirked. "Crobat! Attack with Air Cutter!" he snagged another kunai from his pouch and slipped his index finger through the hole at the bottom of the handle, spinning it on his finger very fast.
His Crobat acknowledged the attack and began to flap his two larger wings very fast. Blades of pure wind energy formed in front of him then shot off towards Fang, just as Koga let go of his weapon and had it pierce the ground once more.

"Come on out Portabello!" With mass amounts of glee his Ultra Ball was thrown, releasing his trusty Breloom out on the field. He looked almost confused. A battle? He chirped excitedly, the last fight he had been in was with Nina atop Mt. Chimney. As polite and honorable as always, Portebello bowed to his opponent, adopting a fighter's stance.
"Your Pokemon is quite the charmer," Shawn said, snapping his fingers. Sandslash lunged forward, baring its namesake claws for a Fury Swipes.
P.B. Mike decided on trying a new method of battle with the Breloom. If the enemy does not know what commands I give you, imagine the advantage. Portabello smiled, although his trainer could not see it. Intercept him with a Sky Uppercut.
Yes Master. The Pokemon said quickly, sliding a clawed foot on the wooden floor. As he heard the familiar scratchings, Portabello's mind snapped back to the fight with Norman and his Zangoose. He had done much training since then, meditation made his mind sharp. Now for the test of body. He watched the Sandslash get closer...closer... He lowered his right arm.
Now! Thrusting his arm upward, he caught the Mouse Pokemon square in the chin, rocketing them both upward. He smirked as the Sandslash spun in the air, landing on its back, making many pucks in the floor. Shawn gasped. "That's unreal!" He cried out, pleasantly surprised. "Your Pokemon is something special."
You know, it's a crime that I haven't used you more Portabello. Mike said to his Pokemon.
I often thought that myself Master. His Pokemon retorted with a cheeky grin.
The thrill of battle, the rush of victory, these things fueled the boy. Since he was little he had dreams of becoming the Champion, dreams of becoming the strongest trainer around. Watching Portabello execute such a move, with perfect timing and grace, it made him feel like it might actually happen. He drew his thoughts back to the battle, looking at his opponent with confidence beaming from his eyes. "You haven't seen anything yet."
This was what he was born to do.

Fang took the Air Cutter to his stomach, angry red marks decorating his belly. He hovered on the spot for a moment, eyeing the purple Crobat carefully. Kasiya knew Koga's Crobat was strong, but she had a feeling that Fang was stronger. "Wing Attack!" the girl demanded forcefully, pointing at the opponent. She could feel the excitement of winning her fifth badge burning in her stomach, and she was nearly shaking with anticipation.
Using an amazing burst of his own, Fang shot forward, preparing to buffet his foe with his wings, screeching an an unimaginable volume the entire time.

My form, it must be perfect. Portabello winced as he was scratched three times with his foe's Fury Swipes attack, the power amplified by the Sandslash's annoyance at the abrupt ending of his first attempt. My mind and body must be one. He side stepped, dodging a Rollout move, replying with a Sludge Bomb. Every battle adds experience...
Experience adds excellence...
Excellence warrants perfection.
Mike looked onward on the battle, very impressed at Portabello's performance. Good work, you're doing fantastic. In truth, he was still kicking himself for not training him more. He was very proud. Finish him off with a Giga Drain.
Clapping his hands together, the Grass Pokemon's body emanated a green aura. Portabello shut his eyes, letting out a loud grunt. Apologies my worthy opponent, but I must take something from you. Soon the Sandslash's body gave off the same radiant hue, as dozens of little particles of energy were robbed from him. Unable to stand, the Mouse fainted, collapsing on the ground. Portabello regained the health he had lost in the fight, and stood victorious.
Shawn recalled his Pokemon, bowing to the Pokemon and his trainer. "What can I say, it's infectious." He added a laugh, motioning for the two to follow. In a matter of minutes, he had led the boy and his Pokemon to the entrance of the outside arena. "You may enter when you are ready. It was a pleasure to battle you." With that, he turned and left.
Mike saw Kilik talking on his PokeNav, and decided not to interrupt. He merely waved, entering the sliding door. To his surprise he saw not one, but two Crobats. One a familiar shade of green.
Ah, Mistress Kasiya! Portabello cried out, tugging on Mike's sleeve.

Wow. It's been a loooong time since I've been here last, Nina thought. Gosh, when was I last here? It was... when Anya caught Fang, I think... Wow. That was awhile ago.
"Well, this is like, THE ideal place for me to like, spend my morning-- crawling around in some uberly grody cave? Psht. Awesome." Nina tilted her head and raised an eyebrow at the girl. "Uh, Whitney. Didn't you need to go through here to get your Clefairy?"
The girl laughed. "Like, oh-my-gawsh, Nina. That is like so funny!" She giggled. "Never, never. I hatched my Clefairy from an egg that I received from a breeder in Blackthorn. Well, it was like, a Cleffa back then." "Wait, you mean... Alexandra Kensington?" The psychic recalled meeting up with that woman to receive Mihoshi's egg. "I thought she only bred Togepi though?" "Yeah, well. You thought wrong. She breeds mostly cute Pokemon like that-- Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Togepi, Pikachu. Get it? Good." "Well, of course I get it!" Nina practically blurted out. "I'm not stupid." "Like, gosh. Did I insinuate that you were?!" Holy hell, the girl thought. 'Insinuate'? That's like a fifth-grade word!
"You kinda did, actually!" she shot back. "Yeah, well, clearly you are if you, like, actually believed me!" "Agh! Whitney, don't you get me start--" "Hey, guys! Shut up!" Raimundo yelled-- he was a bit farther ahead of the sisters. "I just saw a Clefairy, and your shouting scared it away!"
Nina grew quiet. DAMMIT!

"Are you kidding?" Nina called to her friend, before running to catch up to him; Whitney trailed after the other girl to catch up to her. "Did you see which way it went?" He nodded. "Yeah, actually. There's only the way that we entered, and that ladder up ahead a little bit, as far as directions to travel in. Since I saw it run ahead of us, it must have went down the ladder." "Oh, like, of course!" Whitney chimed in. "That's like, the only logical explanation!" "Whitney, stop trying to sound intelligent. Go roll down a hill or something."
Somehow, without too much bickering, the group climbed down the ladder, while Anna simply floated downward. She grinned at Nina, who replied with a quiet "I hate you." and an envious expression on her face. After getting off the ladder, Nina walked with Crater to find herself at a much longer and wider, open space than they had been in previously. She put her hands on her hips and flicked her hair out of her face.
"Well. If that Clefairy's here now, it couldn't have gotten far-- this is a straight path for the most part." She walked in step with her friends, while Anna went a little ways ahead to look around.
"Anna! If you find it, don't hurt it-- just debilitate it or something!"

Koga was used to the screeching of a Crobat, and the noise being emitted from Fang didn't seem to bother him too greatly. The Gym Leader watched as his Pokemon took the attack to the stomach and he felt the wind knocked out of him. When he noticed another trainer behind Kasiya, a boy with a Breloom, he sighed. "Why the sudden challenges?" he whispered to himself with a light chuckle.
Crobat screeched loudly as he took the hit and fell to the ground, flapping his wings weakly to stand up. Suddenly, he felt himself engulfed in a red light, and recalled into his Pokeball. Koga turned his back on the battle, taking the three Pokemon he used and placing them into the Gym's own healing unit. He nodded and walked back over to Kasiya.
"The bond you share with your Pokemon is strong," he told her, "But it can become stronger with time. Take this," Koga reached into his pouch and handed her three items: a disk with TM06 sketched into the top, prize money and the highly coveted Soul Badge. "You've earned all this and more." He looked over at the boy with the Breloom. "And who might you be?" he questioned.

Psht, debilitate it? Anna thought to herself. Yeah, okay. It's not like I've got a lot of attacks that'll actually hurt a Normal-type Pokemon like that, anyway. Her hair billowed as she flew gently along throughout the cave, keeping her eyes open for the star-shaped Pokemon. "Why the heck did you have to choose a rare Pokemon to have me chase after, Nina?" she asked, to nobody in particular.
Somebody heard her, though. A Zubat divebombed towards Anna, baring and chomping its fangs viciously. "Aah!" the Ghost shrieked in surprise, "Get back! Get away from me!" Clearly the Zubat had no intentions in doing so, and it sped faster towards her, its wings widely outspread.
Anna solved her problem, however, when the bat was close enough to her. Building up an electrical current inside of her body, she waited for the perfect moment before loosing a powerful Thunderbolt upon her adversary, causing it to crash down to the ground. It twitched and squeaked a little bit, before losing consciousness. Clearly, the Zubat was at a much weaker fighting level than Anna was. The Ghost grinned.
"There. I told you so."
Meanwhile, Nina and company continued to keep their eyes peeled for the Clefairy. There were few places to hide that they had noticed, save for dark corners where the rocks connected to one another. Crater made sure to check near every one of those corners, but found nothing, despite his efforts. "Ah, don't worry about it, buddy," Raimundo said, patting the oversized snail on his head; "you're doing your best, and that's all that we can ask." One would think that petting a Magcargo's firey head would result in an excruciating amount of pain, but Raimundo found that Crater's head was squishy and gelatenous, as well as rather warm.
Whitney sighed. "I hope that, like, Anna's having better luck than we are..."

After a bit more traveling, Anna found herself descending down a few stairs, before needing to ascend a few more that were adjacent to the first. Still having not been able to spot the Clefairy, the Ghost took the only way out of that area of the cave that there was-- another ladder. She floated upwards before being brought to another straightaway with a little turn-- she breezed through the simple area in a matter of a minute or two, before taking another ladder upwards to another area.
This area, she noticed, was gigantic. She looked around near where she came up, and spotted an oddly-shaped rock. Upon a closer inspection, Anna discovered that it was black and glossy, with some ragged edges. Is this one of those Moon Stones? she thought. That's what makes a Clefairy evolve! Nina'd love it if I could bring it to her!
As the Ghost Pokemon went to claim the stone, however, she was struck by a Water Gun attack. "Guh-- wha?!" she exclaimed, looking around. She saw no Water Pokemon in her vicinity, so who could have attacked her?
Then, Anna saw it. A small pink Pokemon was waggling her fingers, walking towards her. She had but a second to move out of the way as a Zap Cannon attack was shot in her direction, followed by an array of Pin Missiles. "Holy crap!" the ghost exclaimed. "How can something be that powerful in a place like this?!"Wild Clefairy appeared!
Level 31 Gender: Female Attacks: Pound, Growl, Encore, Sing, Doubleslap, Defense Curl, Follow Me, Minimize, **Awaken Slap**, Cosmic Power, **Prayer**, Metronome. "Oh, great," Anna said, dully and sarcastically. "A Metronome-happy Clefairy. Just what I need."
