It probably would, but I'm in the middle of Jane Eyre, and an Eddings book, so it'll be a while...and I have some reading to get caught up with that I was planning on reading during vacation, and that didn't happen, obviously. I still have like half a dozen books that I need to read after the rest of the Eddings books. Oh well.

Yeah, I have one that I started about two years ago...maybe more...I rewrote it a while back, but it still isn't as good as it could be...it's about a female Rider from the Hadarac when she finds an egg in the sand. Mind you, I started that WAY before Brisingr...and I'm working on figuring out how to rework it a bit, since I have that, and a sequel outlined, and another partially outlined....*sigh* Lots of work to do. But hopefully I'll get some done on that and get one or both of those updated. And good luck rereading Brisingr. I finished the audio a couple of weeks ago, so no more spoiler worries or warnings! ^_^

Oh, thanks...*sigh* I still have to finish Jane Eyre before I can really get back to the books I want to read right now...I wanna see if they rescue the queen in the last book of the Elenium right now....

Yeah it is. It hasn't been updated in over a year, though. I had severe writer's block for it, and I was focused on something else and wasn't really interested in it...I'm working on chapter six now, though the style is similar to that or Right of the Tigress, think. It could use some work, I think. But here you go anyway - Embers.

It's about a knight called Sparhawk (who is totally awesome), who was exiled for ten years in a land called Rendor by the old king. Now, the king's daughter, Ehlana, has ascended the throne at age eighteen upon her father's death, but the problem is, she has fallen ill from the illness that killed her father, and has been sealed in a block of crystal to prevent her from dying. If Sparhawk, who is the hereditary Queen's Champion, doesn't find a cure in a year, the force that is keeping her alive will fail and she will die. I'm no the third book right now, and I love it.

I'd love that! I've got Embers and the sequel planned out, plus part of the sequel to that one, but I don't like how simplistic it was, and I'm trying to rework it. I've figured out how she gets her sword, and how she meets Eragon and how Murtagh is freed and Katrina is rescued, but since it's AU, I've got a lot of planing to redo, and so on.

And no, I am not. I didn't really like Brisingr, to be perfectly honest. So, in this, Eragon is Morzan's son, as initially thought, there is no such thing as Eldunari, and it's going to follow an entirely different plotline, for the most part, though it's going to get to the same basic point in the end. It's just that I'm not happy with the way all of it was planned out, and some of the really stupid plans I had...so, I'm going to rework it a bit to make it MY version of Brisingr, and then I'll have another two volumes to go, since I've got the main points and ideas pretty much settled.

Well, that's okay. I can wait.

Yeah...and it just doesn't fit! I was kind of annoyed by that, though it adds an interesting element. And, oddly enough, Murtagh is my favorite character, too! Hehe.

I know! Same here, though - Murtagh was awesome when I read Eragon, which was WAY before the movie came out. And they BUTCHERED it! The Twins and Katrina were in the deleted scenes (I actually bought the movie just for that, to be perfectly honest). The dwarves were all WRONG and so were the Raz'zac!! They aren't mummies made out of bugs. stare

I'd like it if they did do a remake, with Garret Hedlund reprising his role as Murtagh, and Jeremy Irons in his role as Brom (he actually did a good job, I think, though he didn't fit my image of Brom at first), but that's about it. Dragons do NOT have feathers in their wings, the Urgals were messed up, Eragon did not look like Eragon (he has BROWN hair, not BLOND! And he's fifteen, not seventeen....). Ajihad and Nasuada were nicely done, but you're right, how the heck are they going to do a sequel!?! They even left out Eragon's scar...and Murtaghs was a little bit incorrect - wasn't it running down his back, not across? It's been ages since I read Eragon, mind you.

So, in the end, they can't do a sequel. They've got too many inconsistencies, and have tossed out a bunch of important plot points. And I don't mind if you have this really long rant on here, because I can do the same thing, and we'll both feel better about it in the end...

You know, I did, too, but after I got used to him, he was basically as good as it got. And you're very right....but then, Roran didn't look all that tan, either, so I guess it was just the idiots who did the casting and the makeup and so on. But yeah, they totally messed that part up, too. Durza was okay at the very, very, very best. Ugh. The whole fingernail thing, too....meh....

You're right about that, though, they can never make a sequel, and another studio should remake. It's really too bad we can't call redo. On that AND a couple of other things....

Heh. Maybe. And there are other things to rant about that I'm sure we could get going on, too. xp
