Moonstone gave a little nod of his head. "Onyx's pride has taken a back seat for the moment." Then to Kieran. "Yes, that be me," another little nod, "you are a relative of Piper's?"
Then back to Piper. "I have a favour to ask. We were attacked on the way over. Onyx's is still out there I tihnk, trying to find a woman who was accomanying us, she was...kiddnapped or something." He patted Bode's head. "Poor thing lost control of her void, adn she needs a bath, so I can put her to bed but..." he blushed a bit "Well, it's not proper for me to."

That perked Malik's interest.
"Attacked? where? by whom? idd you see what they looked like? by ship or at Deepwater?"
Couldn't rule ou this was someone after Piper, and had attack them thinking piper woudl be with them. after all they were aroudn Piper during the tournament. then a brow raised.
"A woman? don't tell me our little baby onyx is going into heat, is he?"

Piper gave a smug look to Malik. "See, no point to keep me away from the trouble, the trouble comes to us regardless." No, she wasn't going to let him get away with basically grounding her and saying she had to have him or her father with her everywhere...there was going to be no restrictions on her freedom. Back to Onyx. "But you're all relatively alright, right?" Stepping over to Onyx, she took Bode from his arms into her own, not minding how dirty the girl was at all. "But yes, I can get Bode cleaned up for you." It was silly really...men.
Kieran stayed where he was, hands still clasped behind his back. Though he did have to hold back a chuckle that wanted to be caused by both Piper and Malik. They were a pair weren't they? But a look to Moon. "Yes, I'm her father, Kieran Silvercrest. Pleased to meet you." And he went into observant scholar mode to listen to the little tale they would no doubt hear.

"Good to meet you as well, sir." Oh how formal. Well, Moon wasn't really in a jovial mood, to say the least. "I am fine, I wasn't even involved in the fight. But Bode...they scared her pretty bad. It was drow, as far as I know, and what looked like a minotuar. They sailed a huge ship, but it we couldn;t find it, they have mages or soemtihng and cloaked the ship. The girl lost her iron ring, what she sued to keep most of the demonic energy in her. The woman we had picked up was a former slave of sorts, and she was pulled under the water by some kind of seem monster, then a illar of fire erupted beneath us and that's the last we saw." She sighed. "Don't tell Bode, but I think we lost the lizard."
Moonstone blinked at Malik. "Heat?" Like Cymarron himself, the twins were unaware that such a thing happened.

"You'll have to ask your mother or father about it."
If they didn't know, he wasn't going to say anything. but his eyes did get a little hard at the mention of Drow.
"Drow and a Minotaur. how quaint. Minortaur society is shamanistic. I'll wager the capturing sea monter was a summoning. or it would have gone after everyone. and cloaking a ship isn't that uncommon. but it takes a good organized team of magi to get that to work. probably more slaves of your Drow."
A smirk.
"Well..since there are Drow here...might as well introduce myself. But we'll have to find out where they went, and what class in society they might be. know if it was a man or woman? any referances to spiders?"

Piper raised a hand to her face. "Great Moon..." Oh she could kick him. Malik would get kicked too...hell she was sure she could find a reason to kick her father too. Personally if Malik wanted to 'go make friends' with another drow...well he could go on that trip alone. She had always been unnerved by the other drow. They always looked at her like she was dirt and not to mention she was never treated any better by them. After all, she was supposed to be the little surface elf slave. Not this time, she would just stay home. "Have fun playing tactics..." With a sigh she walked off with Bode, making her way back inside. Of course she patted the girl gently on the back, trying to rouse her. "Bode sweetheart, wake up." After all, if her powers were unbridled...well Piper would like to know how to remedy that.

Moonstone frowned. "They didn't really stick around long enough for us to chat. I ahve no idea what kind of society they are." He didn't know much about drow society, how could he?
Bode mumbled a bit, opening her eyes. "Am i dead, Mrs. Piper?" She certainly thought she was. All the screaming, the blakness, the hurting things..."Where are my brothers?"

Kieran had to supress that urge to babble about drow now. Although on all outward appearances he was as calm and reserved as ever. He knew it better to only lectured when asked and not before them. Most didn't take well to that kind of thing.
Piper petted her hand through Bode's hair as she took the girl down to the spas, dismissing anyone there. No need to freak the girl otu in some way and hell, sometimes Piper found them all rather annoying. "No Bode, you're far from dead. a little dirty and scuffed up, but far from dead." Though Piper didn't seem to mind the dirt, blood and even black ooze that was being transfered to her from holding Bode. Or she knew and didn't care. "They are fine as well. Moon is here and Onyx should be with us soon as well. How are you feeling ai er?"

She felt safer here at least. Almost felt like Mommy was holding her again. "I don't want to be dead. People who are dead can't be happy." Sleepily, she lounged against her current mother figure. "I don't mind being dirty, I don't need a bath." She was after all, still a kid. She was confused for a moment. "That's a funny word, what is it?"
"I'm feeling all right I guess."

"Now that's not true Bode. People can in fact be dead and happy at the same time...it's complicated, but not impossible." No need to confuse the child with an adult elvish view on things. But then one of those laughs from Piper. Of course...children never wanted baths they like thier dirt and mess. "Well I mind you being dirty, so you do need a bath." And thus Bode was pulled out of her clothes and put into the warm water, Piper fetching a towel and a washcloth for the child. Oh god...her maternal instincts were kicking in. "Ai er. It mean's 'little one', a nickname I guess." That washcloth was dipped into the water and taken to Bode's face first. "I need you to tell me something too. What needs to be done about your void?"

"Oh," she was in a bit of a daze, so all her reactions were slow. Whether the answer was to the thing about death or the fact that she needed a bath was left to the imagination. The water felt good though, like sitting in a hot pool. "I like the name. It sounds pretty." Then the big counrty

"A lot of elvish words sound pretty, that's just how they are. And if you like it then that will be your nickname from me." What? She liked naming things. Like the Nightmare for instance...though Malik didn't know that. Piper was just absentmindedly going about cleaning up Bode, getting off blood and whatever the hell else was on her. God lord, where had she run off to to get so messy? Then again...she as a child and children had their ways. "Was there anything special about the rings? Did it perhaps say anything on it?" Piper remembered Malik mentioning that iron ring in her void with Tier'dal runes on it...maybe she could back door that. Not that she didn't trust Malik about it, she just didn't want him to get any bad ideas. Like he often said, she was his conscience.

"I like elf-speak. But I don't understand it." She was perking up a bit, the hot water helping to wake her up, refresh her. She smiled. "Mommy used to call me little one too!" She laughed a bit, because the cloth was tickleish, but she didn't squirm away. Once in her bath, she enver fussed aobut it. It was just the getting there that she didn't like, for some reaosn. She shurgged. "I dunno. Mommy put it on, and I never looked at it 'cause it was supposed to stay on my void." She looked down at the whole, which appeared to go through her chest where her heart was, all the way through to the other side. "Do you think words are that imp...impor...um...supposed to be there?"

"With a little practice anyone can understand it when they want to. Even Malik is learning." Though she smiled as Bode seemed to be getting back into better spirits and was a little surprised that she picked the same phrase that Bode's mother used as an endearment. "Important. And yes, words can be very important sometimes. Especially words put down by people who can use magic. Magic words are all the more important because they can help us." Finishing cleaning Bode up, Piper plucked her out of the water and wrapped her in the towel, standing up with the girl in hold. "See, all clean. Now...have to find you some clean clothes."

Malik nodded lightly.
"Well I'll take care that they know where I am, that that I am a Drow as well. that should at least get them interested in a meeting. size up thier competition. But for now, I'm hungry, and I'm sure you are as well, Moonstone. care to join me for late breakfast?"
Onyx was still pacing in his room, growling and snarling. several things had been thrown already, and he was still beratign himself for not being able to get Whirlwind away from those pirates...would Malik know them? Drow to Drow? That might work.
