A samurai, once known to many, stepped through the door of the Firebrand. There wasn't too much more to say about his appearance, being the typical japanese attire of that what a samurai would wear, in white silk none the less. The only real thing that was unique about his look was the silver strands of hair atop his head, nothing more than that though.
Kuroha Zemashitama, unheard from for some time apparently, would step into the Firebrand with no cruel or violent tensions in mind. He was here for a drink, and for a bit of socializing, thats all.
"Hmm. It has been awhile since I stepped out, hasn't it,"
The Silver Ronin would say to himself. If you count several months hidden away, with people assuming you're already dead, it was safe to guess that it had been long enough.
"I guess its time to requaint this world with who I am."
Kuroha stepped towards a table, placing his Dragon Fang along the side of his chair, and sat there. With a near aimless expression on his face, he would wait. Just simply wait...

((This is a broad generalization for anyone trying to get to Firebrand to hear it. I'm gonna be talking like EVERYONE is here, even if that's not the case for the moment.
I also need to stress that some of this is probably Sun's interpretation, that means somewhat one sided, due to the fact that there are a few more people involved in the overall scheme. Translation: I'm gonna make some leaps here to stitch everyone together. So forgiveness in advance if it seems somewhat complicated.
It's the end result that's important after all. ))
All considering, Sunstrike was amazingly calm.
He stared at Kael for a good few moments, letting the question settle, before looking around at the the gathered folks, some wounded, some upset, most just curious or in for a quick drink...
"Well, to be honest. Everything. Things were not supposed to happen this way." The obvious question hung there unspoken for a few moments as he huffed and leaned back against the belly of the stove.
"Things were dangerous before, but they weren't to the point where anyone would have stopped a party of adventurers from "storming the castle," as it were. Some of you," and he looked around pointedly, pausing while he sought them out. "Have encountered the problem first hand. Others just have a skirting knowledge that something is up. That's okay, truthfully it was always going to be."
He looked distracted then, "Maybe...I should start from the top." Distraction turned to discomfort as he tried to sort it all out.
"For those of you that need a quick summery, your Gaia is headed towards crisis on a grand scale. Two and a half years ago, the Leviathan Stadium was destroyed by a man named Victor Fah in a ruthless attempt to steal something that he needed. Needless to say he was successful, and as a result, was able to access the holding place of that great island you saw floating prettily above our heads. He calls it Eden..."
He wandered back to the bar, talking clear enough so people that wanted to listen could hear. Sun was a bit of a showman after all.
"That was all right...well, it wasn't GOOD, but it was right, you see? Er...no maybe not. You have to think of things in balances. Light and Dark, one side tips, the other side counters. It's the way things work as a whole. Victor and Vahn, two sides of the same coin...only..."
He cursed and tapped the bar, getting a bottle of something and then digging in his pockets for the money for it.
"We should have expected it, this much life and magic, and it's not like we'd been overlooked. Hell, he probably knew, coniving, perverted, old, bastar-" Sun realized he'd gone off on a tangent and almost physically pulled himself back on the rails.
"Right. The Forgotten, maybe you've come up against it....them, before. If not, all you really need to know is that it doesn't like the natural order of things. Be they magical or mundane. It creeps in, takes what it wants and annihilates the rest. Which doesn't give people a great deal of option."
Here he whirled on Kael and advanced on him, anger coming suddenly and heatedly.
"THATS why you're here and not storming that ******** island. If it were up to me I'd have THROWN your stubborn head against the masses of shades and seen you go splat, you great tin can! Let them make you into one of those emptied one eyed twisted souls. But you can't waste your already depleted resources. I'm sure, as the others in the stadium found out first hand, this is not an effort people can solo. So you can get your FOOT off my-off Rage's oven, and THINK about how close you came to being one of THEM! They would have wiped your mind as easily as washing laundry in bleach."
This said he went on as if he'd not just lashed out. Hot and cold.
"Things like twins as powerful as the Fah's don't go unnoticed, they draw...otherworldly things to the doorstep. Unfortunately, Victor has seemed fit to make a very dangerous choice. The balance is thrown out the window. That's not really my problem, as long as they don't catch me out, but apparently it's yours. So I hope you really appreciate my telling you of your impending doom. It's up to you to figure out your own ******** salvation, I'm just here for the ride."
Not technically true at all, but these people weren't supposed to like him anyway, and he didn't expect to be well received.
"Getting back to the girl. I can only think that he actually needs Teira for something, maybe Ra'kar thinks she can draw source...from.... ..... Nah, thought I had it but it's gone. Anyway they won't kill her, got it on good authority, the demoness enjoys her pets. It'll be a while 'fore she tires of them, specially with the amount of magic she's gathering around her. So truthfully, whether Teira was captured or not didn't tip a balance that wasn't there, see? If things were progressing as they should, I would have said them getting her was a very bad thing, but I'm as in the dark as you are about it all now."
He grabbed a chair and propped his legs on the oven, looking at the glass in his hand.
"That's it, that's all I know."
May the chaos break out where it will.

Ichigo had listened intently to Sunstrike's explanation, with Kon sitting atop Ichigo's shoulder to listen for himself. Even throughout the tournament, Ichigo couldn't have expected things to turn out like this. He had almost expected something to happen after the tournament abruptly ended with regards to the sponsors, like many other tournaments in the past.
But this? This came completely out of left field. Ichigo hadn't expected this at all, and according to what Sun said, others hadn't expected it either. Now they were all being pulled into a battle that could mean the end of everything they knew, with many of them not even knowing who the hell they were fighting alongside of.
Ichigo figured he'd get around to introductions eventually, though. As would Yusuke, unless people around Leviathan knew him well enough already.
What was worse was the fact that Ichigo had gotten into this blindly. Even with Sunstrike giving all of the information he knew, he still had no idea what that demon Malachi or that skeleton Malice were. All he knew now is that they were connected to some man named Victor, and Victor was related to Vahn. He gathered as much by picking up on the name "Fah" in Sun's explanation.
In the end, none of that mattered. Right now, he was as confused as the next guy, but he had the basics down. Victor Fah was their enemy, and he had Teira, the woman he knew better as the leader of Team Frozen Flame. He knew something was up when he saw what he did back at the Crimson Hawk Hotel, and whatever he saw was probably connected to why Victor wanted Teira so badly.
But there were still questions to be answered, and Ichigo was done keeping quiet.
"What's this about her being a pet to some demoness? What kind of 'demoness' are you talking about? Who is she?"
Could it have been the woman who was nearby the group fighting Malice back at the stadium? The one he had seen just before Teira made her escape? It had to be...no doubt about it. It had only been for a moment since his attention had been grabbed by Malachi, but he could feel that something definately wasn't right with her.
She looked a hell of a lot like Teira, too...

"Mr. Orange juice, you slay me with your flavor.."
Ssshhlluuuurrrrpppp....
What was it about this heavenly drink that eased Asherah's mind? Not a soul knew, but she loved the stuff. If you slit her wrists, she'd bleed orange juice. But just as it started, it stopped as the cup went dry. And just as it went dry, her ears twitched, she'd been listening in on Sun's monologue since the start. She may not know him very well, but what he said worried her.
Powerful? Otherworldly?
"Hmm..."
Asherah's lips parted from her straw as she thought. It wasn't any of her business but---
"This is bad isn't it." Asherah said as she turned her head to were Sun and Kael were. It was probably a stupid question, but she wanted to know.

"Not captured...." Ah, if all hell was crashing down might as well throw her little bit of fuel on the fire...she was in the mood for a fight and kinda’ expected to be ignored no matter what was said.
Hono continued to rest her chin on her knees but her eyes never left Sun as he spewed his little speech, most of it was news to her, except for that last little bit about the shadowling. She didn’t raise her voice, hell she didn’t need to since she was mostly talking to herself anyhow.
She shouldn't have been here, too many people and all of them grouchy to seriously ticked off.. not a good place for a slightly unstable empath. "She went on her own, that lost little soul made her choice...even if it was not really a good one for her, and unless my double was seeing things you already knew that Sunny!" That said Rave actually wondered if this “forgotten” would leave her alone if she stayed out of it’s way.

Sun turned to Ichigo and tilted his head. "Pets are what immortal's keep when they're strengthening their powerbase. ~Ra'kar is...complicated at best. You know how demons possess people and kind of, shove them out of the way when they get enough control? That's what Ra'kar is. She's a demon that's in complete possession of the body she's in. All that's left of the original is Teira, and even then, Teira's more her own person now." Another question, this time with a slight nod in the direction of the bar. "Bad might be understating the situation. While before it was about destruction and resurrection, now it'll simple be the end. The goal of this, entity, is frightfully clear." Lastly he turned to Hono, looking a little abashed. "She went on her own to a point...but, there was a struggle there, she tried to take on Ra'kar and fell. She wanted answers and I think she may have gotten more then she-" HonoRaven " - and unless my double was seeing things you already knew that Sunny!" He blinked in surprise at the heat in that. "Of course I knew. You never really expected me to hand her over to GAURDIAN, did you?" That was...cryptic at best and damning at least. "I was assigned to watch her and make reports as to her nature to the group, and to protect her at all costs IF she turned out to be the true soul of their leader." The look in his eye was more then ironic. "She's not the person they're looking for. So, I lost her. Easy as that. My job was done when she took off my arm, s'far as I was concerned."

Sunstrike "She went on her own to a point...but, there was a struggle there, she tried to take on Ra'kar and fell. She wanted answers and I think she may have gotten more then she-" " HEY! I saw that!" Kon suddenly jumped off of Ichigo's shoulder and onto the nearest platform closes to Sunstrike. To those looking on, it would be considerably odd for a stuffed animal to just jump up and talk. " I was there when that happened! She got stabbed in the back! Wasn't even a fair fight at all! She probably woulda beaten her too! I call a foul on that!" Without even waiting for a reply, Kon turned back around to Ichigo. " You shoulda saw it, Ichigo! The two of them looked like sisters or something! But I really didn't like the spiritual pressure comin' off of that one she was fighting..." And yet, still, without even caring for anyone's response, Kon scampered over to Raven, who had also spoke. " Hey, big sis! What's this about her going on her own? If it's such a bad choice, aren't you guys gonna save her?" Kon was obviously using "big sis" as an out-of-the-blue term of affection. Even though he was just asking a question, the little mod soul was really thinking... " C'mon, c'mon! I'm a talking stuffed animal! One of these girls here has to find that cute! Somebody gimme the ticket to Marshmallow Land!" Ichigo was well aware of Kon's game, but he was too focused on the situation at hand to waste his time beating up a stuffed animal for messing around. Rukia usually covered that for him, but she wasn't here for this adventure. Sunstrike "Of course I knew. My job was done when she took off my arm, s'far as I was concerned." " 'True soul of their leader'?" asked Ichigo aloud. He hadn't the foggiest what that meant, but obviously the way souls were dealt with in these parts were a lot different than what Ichigo had gone through. " Are you trying to say you lost her on purpose because she wasn't who they thought they were?" If that was what Sunstrike was saying, Ichigo would be joining Kael in the "I'm pissed off" section of the group. Teira was their freind, wasn't she? Shouldn't he have protected her anyway? More importantly... " What's this GUARDIAN thing anyway?" It was better Ichigo understood who they were before he jumped to conclusions and got angry for no reason.

+++It was at that moment the Cyberpunk would speak up. His chair being leaned back on two legs as his feet would grab at something to keep him stable. His brown eyes gazing towards Sunstrike.
+++"So. What you're saying is you gakked up big time. Now you're actually going to need to do something to resolve all of this? If you don't Gaia Primus is fugged?" He'd ask it nonchalantly. As if he didn't give a ******** at all. Well, that was partially the point to it. Though, then his mind clicked over. There were still humans on Gaia Primus. If Gaia Primus got gakked up then that meant that the God-Emperor's light wouldn't reach them. He pondered for a second and would snarl at himself. That meant he'd probably have to help with this s**t.

Sunstrike He blinked in surprise at the heat in that. "Of course I knew. You never really expected me to hand her over to GAURDIAN, did you?" That was...cryptic at best and damning at least. "I was assigned to watch her and make reports as to her nature to the group, and to protect her at all costs IF she turned out to be the true soul of their leader." Actually Hono had expected exactly that, since she had never seen anything wrong with guardian... well beyond the fact that they were a bunch of elves with names no one could ever remember xp Kon And yet, still, without even caring for anyone's response, Kon scampered over to Raven, who had also spoke. " Hey, big sis! What's this about her going on her own? If it's such a bad choice, aren't you guys gonna save her?" Kon was obviously using "big sis" as an out-of-the-blue term of affection. Somebody gimme the ticket to Marshmallow Land!" Raven tilted her head to the side and blinked at the little stuffed loin a couple times, that was a new experience o. 0A slow and slightly sinister smile spread across her face, flashing dainty little fangs as she focused on Kon, her voice dropped low enough that most people further away than the mod soul wouldn't hear her " If you are just a stuffed animal then I am harmless...and I try not to get too attached to people who don't want to be saved! If Teira is not actually Seirra, then she has the right to play toy to the demon if she chooses to." Sunstrike The look in his eye was more then ironic. "She's not the person they're looking for. So, I lost her. Easy as that. My job was done when she took off my arm, s'far as I was concerned." Hono was also slightly concerned at the thought that Sun had "lost" Teirra on purpose, and more than a little annoyed that he kept loosing body parts to people that he was apparently close to... it was a very bad habit that was definitely going to get him killed for good one of these days sweatdrop

"Far worse than just Gaia." Yet another new entry, "If Gaia falls then its influence will only spread until everything is consumed. Eternal nothingness."
The speaker was what appeared to be a very very large man. Strangely enough wearing a thick long coat, with a black hooded sweatshirt under it, despite the boiling summer conditions of Gambino. The hood seemed to successfully obscure the man's face. It also appeared that this man had been in a fight, as identified by his close being torn, cut and stained with a strange black liquid.
"I apologize for my lateness. Upon discovering the potential of both Victor and Alpha's actions, Leonard and myself were ambushed." The man's voice had a certian hollow quality to it, but no anger at all, "He was unsure that this venture to the Firebrand would yield any result, and thus went his own way. It seems he was incorrect."

So what did Yusuke think about this? Not much. The kid, after Ichigo leaped back into his body, walked over to the bar, reaching behind it and just grabbing himself one of those free bottles of water. Unscrewing the cap, he downs the container of liquid, a bit exhausted after fighting Ichigo and that strange thing a few minutes ago at the stadium. He had no clue what the hell was going on around here, but he could at least recognize that the good vs. evil feeling was lurking about.
"Aah," he says, releasing a sigh after getting a good drink of the water. Though he was looking like he wasn't paying attention, his ears were picking up on the conversation, starting from Sun, hearing Ichigo's and a few others input on it, piecing it all together in his head. He takes another gulp of the water, emptying its contents, then tosses it into the trash can, turning back around with his elbows resting on the counter top.
He would speak up and say something, but he had a feeling none of this had anything to do with him. Yeah, he fought the people a little involved in this, but he wasn't exactly sure how to place himself in this. Okay, the world once again on the verge of destruction. However, he had long ago realized that this world had more heroes than himself. Therefore, if this was Vahn's story, then Vahn will be the one to participate in it. He had no right himself to get into helping unless asked.
So, he just wiggles his right finger in his ear, putting on this expression of boredom. Eventually, if this situation became serious enough, he knew the higher ups in Spirit World would contact him right away. Until then, he was pretty much neutral in the manner.

Questions, statements, and serious threatening leanings were coming in thick and fast, so Sun was glad when he heard another voice pop up at the back of the crowd. He turned to the shrouded figure and held out his hand, clasping it in friendship, although who was friend and who was
"You're not late big guy, I was just explaining it in my fashion. And hell, I didn't foul up at all. I was fine with my role in the whole affair."
This said lazily to the black haired man with brown eyes. Then turning to Ichigo-
"Look, this is all I know. There's not use getting pissed off after the fact. But events have been tampering with me too. Weird things..."
He shook his head.
"Gaia's not what it's supposed to be. But that's out of my hands. I'm just the messenger now."

When Sunstrike mentioned how Victor got access to Eden, Lucind half expected to feel his or Raven's eyes on him - as they had both been there when she, the Siren, unintentionally played the role Victor just had had in mind for her. But they probably considered her part to be one among many mistakes and failures being made on the long way leading to the current events.
But only did she look up when the tall, hooded stranger entered.
"Eternal nothingness...?" She mumbled, feeling how those two words stirred something in her.
Why...did it feel so familiar?
