Shimmerpelt sat next to her daughter. She had finally persuaded her to eat the
thyme and was now gently washing her fur. She looked around. Where is Rustheart? she thought.
Lillykit walked over to her sister Ripplekit sitting in a corner of the nursery. "I'm so worried about Shatteredkit....." she mewed sitting down next to her.

Ripplekit looked at her sister and licked her ears gently. "Shatteredkit will be well again. Why would Starclan take Shatteredkit now? It'll be okay, Lillykit. Let's go and see if we do anything to help." She licked Lillykit's ear again.
