Shinra1003 plibbles does any one have any good strategies on a full squad of swooping hawks? i mainly go against black templars. What if you tried just Sky Leaping and using their grenade packs repeatedly? I imagine that would cause some harm and the hawks wouldn't get too shot up. Andreis Shinra1003 Would you happen to know where I could find that article? It would be awesome if you could. I don't really understand your Fire Prism vision. You must draw schematics! Actually wait. No, nothing about magnets into models. D: You mean for like.. interchangable heavy weapons etc? I saw this article at one point on magnetic display bases, and actually I would probably buy magnets from the site they mention for the thing above. http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/painting/display/default.htm Yeah, Exactly. I wanted to have interchangable heavy weapons on my models so I could be "WYSIWYG." Yeah, I saw that article on GW. I ordered something like 250 magnets so I will try that magnetic base carrying case as well the interchangable weapons. I was just wondering the best the way to place the magnets on the weapons and models. A drill would probably be best? I would say that you get small disk magnets and metal rods. 1/16 is the smallest size, but for heavy weapons that is not too big, so that would be perfect. 1/16 is the smallest sized utility drill bit available.

Well, I had already ordered 3/16 magnets. Anything lower than that didn't seem like it had enough force to hold anything together. I just hope they make 3/16 drill bits - If they do, then I guess it should work out mrgreen

Yeah, so, I got the magnets and I found a correct diameter drill bit. The whole operation worked out pretty well. My Wave Serpent, Falcon, Vyper, and Wraithlord now all have interchangeable heavy weapons. I must say, seeing a Pulse Laser on a Vyper is quite funny.
I would recommend this magnetizing process to anyone interested.

Yeah, I would like too - there's just the issue about not having a digital camera crying Maybe I will look into finding one...
I recently added magnets to my Dire Avenger Exarch so I can equip any weapon configuration. I must say it is really quite funny seeing a pulse laser on a Dire Avenger mrgreen

Just wondering - what is your paint scheme? And do you paint Aspects their rightful colors or colors corresponding to the rest of your army.
My colors are mainly white and red. I thought about painting aspect warriors a similar scheme but I am painting them their aspect colors instead - If not to be fluffy, then to have a more colorful army.

I don't play Eldar, but I have many times considered it.
And if I did I would paint them to match my army. Something about fielding the entire visible light spectrum just doesn't do it for me.

I have to agree. I never liked the idea of painting each aspect different. Maybe some symbols and the way you paint the models is understandable, but still the same colors add a lot of unity to a force. Thankfully I dont see too many people who do the rainbow thing.

Lol, yeah, having a spectrum of colors shouldn't be a bad thing - Eldar are supposed to be colorful aren't they?
And yeah, magnets. They are a good choice in my opinion, just make sure they are a good diameter and don't stick out too much. Use a drill if you need to, to embed them into the model. Good luck!
