He gasped and his body lurched forwards. Shinichi closed his eyes as he stuck out his hands in front of him. His body was already ragged from the long day at the Suna Mountain Ranges and this was simply too much. He remained there, on his knees, for a while, silently cursing his own limitations. Damn it! He was so close to finishing this chakra exercise... just a little under half way to go. The boy let out a yell as he realised the extent of his weaknesses. Why, why...? Shinichi clutched his stomach as it roared for food and looked up at the sky. Health. It was such a stange concept, he thought as he rose and walked back to the village.

She doesn't know why but places like this bamboo forest and jungled area's are places that just seem to be great places to think. There is a ton of things on her mind.

She had been wondering around this bamboo forest for like 3 hours alone. She hates to be alone but when she is with others she tends to shy away from them.

Speeding his way past his team he was the first to arrive to the bamboo forest with Takamaru at his side. He waited only a few moments before his team caught up to him. He stayed silent as he turned to Shinichi, waiting for him to instruct them on what to do.

meanwhile...
The monkey was swinging through the forest until it found an over-turned basket of fruits. She dug into the basket, tossing aside apples, oranges, pairs, until it reached the item she was looking for. A banana. She took hold of it and jumped uptop a tree and began peeling the banana, sniffing it causiously before biting into it. Where there no other monkey's in this forest? sad

Shinichi landed in a crouch and surveyed the beginnings of one of the largest areas in all of Kusagakure. Just making it through this place was a challenge in itself. Luckily, Koro-sensei had often had his classes here so Shinichi knew the area enough to get by, which wasn't enough to actually find something alive in it. He took a stick and drew the rough boundaries of the forest in the soft silt. Marking their location, he put a finger to his lips and stared at his bland drawing. This wouldn't help them much and the monkey could be gone by now. Wait, wasn't there a river that cut through here... and another two there? Making a few more marks, Shinichi eventually made a reconisable map. Okay, now to divide it up. He was sure Yahiko-sensei wouldn't help, but maybe the other two would have some ideas. He numbered the rivers to help even more and then drew two dotted lines vertically to divide the forest into three sections.

Ray managed to go fast enough so he arrived shortly behind Shinichi. He stopped and stood behind him, watching him build the map in the ground. When he saw what seemed like the completed map he said "Good thing you've apparently been here before. It'd be a lot harder to search an area by blindly running around searching. I guess I'll be able to help a little bit too, I have a pretty general knowledge of animals, so if there are any specific questions about the monkey feel free to ask me." as he leaned a little closer to the map. Then eyeing the map, he attempted to memorize it, so he wouldn't be completely lost if they split up...

Sumire ran happily through the bamboo. The boys were quite a bit taller than her -- which meant their longer strides soon left her in the dust. Still, she soon caught up, hardly out of breath at all. She crouched down beside Shinichi, staring at the map. "We're going to split up?" She cocked her head -- as she was fond of doing -- and peered at the dirt drawing. "That'll work, too. We won't be able to help each other much at all, but we'll be able to cover more ground." The planning apparently consumed all of Sumire's available seriousness. For in the next instant, she was whispering excitedly, "Oh! I can't wait to see cute little Momo-chan!" She grinned.

Yahiko looked down at the makeshift map and nodded.
" you've got a good memory... "
He stated the obvious more to himself than to the others.
"So? who goes where?"
He asked, if he intended for them to split up he had to have them placed at certain area's of the forest.

Oh, right. He examined the map and tried to recall what each of their strengths were. While they were catching the wolf, Ray seemed to be the best at knowing what to do, so he would have to be close by in case anyone found the monkey. "Ray-san, take the middle section. If either Sumire-san or I find the target, you'll have the least distance to travel." Now, Shinichi glanced at the remaining two sides and noted that the left one had more distance to travel. "I'll take this side, being the fastest runner. Sumire-san, please go through the remaining territory. It's full of underbrush and winding trails, but you were pretty good at tracking in the academy. Watch for the swamp, though." They had wasted enough time planning already and his body was itching for some action. Still, perhaps this way was much smarter than just blindly plowing through the forest. "Move in a zigzag motion to cover the most ground. Got it, guys?" That should cover everything.

Sumire nodded happily, resisting the urge to jump around again. They were hunting now, and she had to be quiet. Still...the urge was really strong. She had never been very good at sitting still. And that's what most hunting required: sitting still and patience. Patience she had in abundance...just as long as she could be moving while she waited. She glanced swiftly at the map just to ascertain her area. Yick. She'd have to go through the swamp. Well...maybe she'd get to see some froggies! She loved froggies. Having re-established her excited frame of mind, Sumire waved swiftly to the guys. "Have fun searching! Let me know if you find Momo-chan!" Then, she was off, slipping swiftly through the forest with a lot more stealth than most people would have given the hyperactive girl credit for.

[Tara, have you made the profile for the monkey yet? And I would suggest that you roleplay it for the mission, listing who's territory he's in at what time, etc. Sound good?]

(( I have to make a profile for it... sweatdrop wow... um ..k... and I had every intention of roleplaying the monkey. There's no worries there. I might be the crappiest sensei around but I have a head on my shoulders smile ))

With a banana in hand the monkey made it to the river and glanced into the water curiously. He took his banana and held it away from the water. Glancing at his own reflection he poked the water and when he thought the other monkey would poke him back he jumped backwards , away from the water, and gave out a little cry.

[Aw...^_^ No worries. You're not crappy, dear. I only mentioned the profile so that we could have something to spot check against? Like...I don't know. Just a suggestion, I guess. >_<]

(( hmm...I suppose but wouldn't it be easier to set a DC? <3 I'll go with that for now... because making a profile for a monkey thats gonna be non-existent in a bit is sort of pointless... So guys... the DC to spot the monkey is 12. (As long as your by the lake) and to catch him the DC is 16.))

[There is no lake, only three rivers. River 1 is where Sumire's territory is, River 2 is where Ray is, and River 3 is where Shinichi is. ^_^]

( rawr, lakes, rivers, all the same to me! >.< lol fine! )

With a banana in hand the monkey made it to the first river and glanced into the water curiously. He took his banana and held it away from the water. Glancing at his own reflection he poked the water and when he thought the other monkey would poke him back he jumped backwards , away from the water, and gave out a little cry.
