Seto wanted to place a hand on Yami's shoulder, but changed his mind.
Yugi didn't appreciate it. Seto knew. "Maybe that's the reason to actually do it..."
"Are you alright?" he asked, trying hard to sound as if he didn't really care.
"He'd better be..." he added in mind. Earlier, he had dreamt of holding Yami close to him. Now he could, he almost lost himas he chose his little brother's over his Yami's, and now he was bleeding?
As said, it'd better not be too bad.

"Yea... Yea, yea--I'm fine. I forgot about it until just a moment ago... It's really not as dramatic as it seems. Just a little cut, thats all..
Yuugi shook his head. He wanted to yell at Seto for not seeming to care more about his Yami, but then again, it was probably to be expected. ((Seto can't win. x3)) If it wasn't anything--if it wasn't such a big deal--then why wasn't Yami explaining to him how he was injured? He wanted to know badly what had happened, but he also didn't want to drive Yami even further away from him by pestering him. What was the hardest was that he wasn't there for Yami when he needed him. Yami had always been there for him--and where was Yuugi when this happened anyhow?
"Don't you think you should wrap it...?" he asked gently, holding yami's hand between his own and looking into the other's anxious eyes. Why is he acting like this..?
"Yes," came the reply, "But we have to leave first... then we can deal with this later..." He pulled his hand away and continued walking towards what he thought was the main entrance.
"So--Yuugi--" he started again, "The thing is..." Yuugi's ears perked right up--was he going to tell him something important? Was he finally going to explain everything? "We haven't exactly found out how to leave.. but...in a way we have..."
"What," Yuugi asked--more of a statement than a question. He was expecting something more along the lines of "The thing is... is that you're right in knowing that Seto did this to me...And, I see your point in that this probably isn't the best thing for me right now... yatta yatta... But what was this? His yami just contradicted himself in the same sentance...
"Well... she told us that there is some...combination...thing... and that it has to do with these stepping stone things..." (He avoided stepping on one), "but she doesn't know the combo... But, we know where the way out is...so, that's something isn't it? he added hopefully.
"You keep saying 'she.' What 'she?' Mai or Anzu aren't... Or, are you talking about that woman--who is she anyhow?"
"We don't know..." Yami answered truthfully.
"Well, what is she doing here?" Yami hesitated. He also wasn't sure about why she was here in the first place... Why wouldn't Marik take over just one of their crew? Wouldn't it be more difficult to get Mokuba to like a stranger than it would for him to become attatched to someone he already knew?
"I don't...know..." he said in a whisper, his footsteps slowing. It didn't make sense... It seemed as if it would be...just so logical to take over a friend... He remembered the way that Marik had tried to defend himself--tried. He remembered how Kelly had seemed to 'come to her senses...'--seemed. He remembered how she had managed to pursuade Mokuba against Seto...and he remembered how somehow...somehow Mokuba had felt responsible enough for the whole hallway incident to forgive the other completely, and take the blame. His eyes slowly moved to Seto's as realization began to take it's grasp in his mind.

Seto was reliefed (sp? gonk ) to hear Yami was alright.
The sight of little Yuugi holding his hand was a true pain to him, though.
But... Saying something about it would make him seem over-protective and jealous, and simply hitting Yuugi's hands away would make him look very possessive and childish.
But then again... Wasn't he all of those things?
Yet a smirk appeared on his face.
"Over-protective, jealous, possessive and childish... Good characteristics for a multi billionare (sp?)"
These thoughts reminded him of someone, though...
Mokuba was still asleep in that one room they had just left.
Going back to get him would probably cause him to get lost, but leaving him and finding an exit first would cause Mokuba to get angry or upset about Seto abbandoning(sp?) him.
He sighed.
"Mokuba, he's still back there... With psycho lady and Bakura... We should go back to get him."

Yami nodded very seriously. "Yea...You're right--we really should..."
"...Am I missing something...?" Yuugi asked, "Psycho lady?"
Yami had turned back and started following Seto. "Mmn...just a bit psyco..." Yami echoed, mostly ignoring what Yuugi had said. In an odd way, Seto's understatement had made him smile even though they were all in a very grave position.
"There are only seven millenium items..." Yuugi tried again to be apart of the conversation. His statement was met with immediate silence. "I mean--You and I have the puzzle, Ishizu has the anhk, Marik's got the rod, Ryou's got the ring...and...er...Bakura's got the puzzle... and Shadi has the key and scales again, right?"
"Yes..." Yami trailed off wondering where this was going, "The last time I knew anything of it..."
"Then why is she psycho? You do know something about her, don't you? What's WITH you lately?! You're not telling me ANYTHING!! Do you HATE me or something?! Do you think you're PROTECTING me from some lame-a** evil?! WHY can you NOT trust me all of a sudden!?"
Yami, having been caught off guard, didn't know what to say to Yuugi's sudden outburst.
"Or is it...something else...?" Yuugi asked in a quiet tone. His eyes burned a hole in Seto's back, and he didn't care who knew.
Yami still didn't know what to say.
"You won't understand, Yuugi--You'll try and make something of it that isn't--"
"What!? When have I EVER done that?!" Yuugi interrupted.
Yami shook his head. "Lately you're just so..." he trailed off, not knowing the word to describe it.
"So...what...?"
"...dramatic." Yami finished. He wasn't sure if it was the right word, but it'd have to do for now. He looked up at his silent lover, wondering what he was thinking about all of this. He wasn't stopping them from arguing, but it must be getting on the other's nerves... either that or he was so worried about Mokuba that he was tuning them both out. "--mi..." He understood why he was concerned with Mokuba's whereabouts and his company--it would be a mistake not to be concerned really..."...--mi...!" Even though Ryou and Malik were with them, Marik and Bakura and the Woman could easilly overpower the others... Hell, ONE of them could probably overpower the hikaris... "Yami!"
"Hauh?" Yami blurted. He'd gone off into his own thoughts there for a moment, and didn't realize that Yuugi was still talking to him.
Yuugi sighed very audibly, dropping his hands loosely at his sides as his shoulders fell. "Nevermind..." he said sheepishly.
((Whoa, sudden thought! Wouldn't it be so cool if she had the scales? Because she's going around judging everyone!! Shadi has them right now...Should I have him give them to her? I think that'd be cool! And: it would prove a way for her to keep in contact with them after they get out...))

Kelly moved her folded hands down the bed a little until she felt Mokuba's. He was so...placid when he was sleeping... He looked so innocent--he was only a little boy after all... (in HER eyes...He's a bit older for the RP isn't he? Inu, how old is Mokie?) She sighed gently as she rolled his hand into her own. He was so nice to her, he reminded her of a previous love she'd had once. What was his name? She couldn't remember his face even. It must have been a great long time ago... For me not to remember him... she mused silently, wearing a sad smile. She rested her head on the bed, her blonde wild hair draping onto the sheets and off the side of the bed. Everything was so familliar to her--but it all seemed to be just out of her reach... "It's like a raptured picture in my mind. It was together at one time, but now it's like it's been cut and torn up..." she said softly. She didn't know where she was--but the building seemed familliar. She didn't know why she was here--but it was important. She didn't know who this boy was--but he reminded her of someone. She couldn't remember anything--and she didn't know why.
Kage no Tenshi watched the other with a sort of empathy. She couldn't know the truth though...she wouldn't be able to stand it. Right now, she had to continue this route. When she did finally remember the Mexican (IE, ROBERTO), she'd want to know what happened to him. She'd want to know the whole story... She'd want to know. "She doesn't even know that I exist yet." She'd come to the conclusion that she'd need Mokuba's alliance in order to get her revenge on Seto. Yes--even though she knew that she was the one who killed Roberto... Right now, she prevented Kelly from even remembering him. She didn't want to hurt Kelly: she was here to protect her. It would hurt Kelly too much for her to think that she killed him... But if Kage no Tenshi explained that it was the "late" Seto Kaiba... Or just the officially "clinically insane" Seto Kaiba who killed Roberto, then not only would Kelly not feel as bad, but it would allow her to have a progressing relationship with the other instead of an entirely detrimental one.

Seto was slightly enjoying the bitchfight going on near him, though he'd never actually admit it.
He was rather surprised when Yamid idn't respond to little Yugi saying his name, though.
At first he thought Yami was ignoring him for the sake of ignoring, but he seemed to actually be oblivious [can I use that here?] of Yugi's attempts to get Yami's attention.
"We're getting him now, right?" he stated rather than asked just when Yugi had dropped his arms [that sounds weird].
He wanted to prevent more whining from starting, and hoped he didn't get Yugi started by trying to do so.

Yuugi, just annoyed in general now, was very peterbed at Seto's lack of concern and couldn't help but turn on him. "HE has a NAME you know!" he snapped like a PMSing female, "What--are you so prep that you're having trouble remembering peoples names? Do you HIRE someone to do it for you? How would you like it if I forgot who you were, huh?!" As soon as he said it though, he realized that Seto probably wouldn't have cared. "You wouldn't care would you!? he accused boldly.

"Well, thats a FIRST isn't it?!" Yuugi retorted.
"Yuugiii..." Yami said softly. "Don't yell at Seto. What did he do to you?" Yuugi's mouth dropped. He couldn't believe what he just heard.
"Have you been listening to me at ALL!?"
"For the last time..." Yami said exasperated, "Seto is not hurting me!
"You just don't realize it yet" Yuugi grumbled.
"What was that?"
"I said that's not what I was thinking..." Yuugi lied. Yami shot him a stern look.
"Oh? What were you thinking then?" Yuugi sighed. The other problem was that Seto was taking his Yami away from him. Perhaps if he alone just didn't deserve him it'd be one thing... but taking him away from someone who KNOWINGLY didn't think they deserve him...was entirely another.

Back inside the room, the woman was on her feet again. She looked down at the sleeping form without apparent emotion before turning and shutting the door behind her. "I'll be back for you Mokuba" She'd promised. "I just have to go straighten myself out." She was on her way back to her video room--and she knew all of the shortcuts. This HAD been HER university after all...and she DID have all of the reconstruction ordered on it...

"Yugi, shut up."
"Please, yugi, close that gap and let me do the talking."
"... How to make that dwarf shut up!?" Seto thought, almost panicking.
As he looked away in annoyance, he realized these walls... Were... Pretty close to eachother...
He gulped, and closed his eyes for a moment, massaging his temples.

Yuugi was just about to NOT answer when the party heard the subsiding sound of footsteps. Obviously, someone had tried to follow them out here, right? Did Mokuba awaken or did Marik or Bakura decide to investigate? When they got back at the room, they saw that everyone was still there--except for the woman.
"She's gone," Yami said stating the obvious.

Seto inmediatly checked if Mokuba was still there.
"Good... Still asleep." he said with a sigh of relief.
Then, he raised a brow.
"Why's he sleeping next to Bakura...?" he thought, but then realized that if Bakura was asleep, he couldn't do a lot of harm.
He sat down next to his little brother on the bed, and looked at Yami.
"What do we do now." he said, not asking.
[Hey, at least it isn't a one-liner... ]

(haha, yea. I suppose. I'm not giving you much to work with though...)
Yami still wanted to get out of here. Sure, that girl had disapeared... but he'd gotten the information from her that he'd wanted...didn't he? His eyes traveled accross the room to where Marik and Otougi were. Unconsiously, his lip rose slightly as he was lost in thought again. It didn't make any sense. None of it does.
"So much has happened within the past...day or so..." he mused aloud, half to Seto, half to himself, "It's just all happening so fast. I can't make sense out of any of it at all." He ended his brief comments with a short sigh. Then, one of the most random things ever popped into his mind.
"I wonder if Grampa's wondering where we are..."
Yuugi just watched the other. He seemed so tired. So burdened.
"Half of it is me, I bet..." He sat down very close to his Yami. If he couldn't have him, then he wanted to be as close to it as possible. "You need to sleep, Yami," he suggested moving his hand on top of the others, "It'll help--" he stopped short when Yami stood in front of him with his arms firmly to his chest, wearing a cross expression.
"I realize that you're trying to help..." Yami explained, ".....you're not."
Yuugi just layed back on the bed and closed his eyes. He didn't have it in him to argue anymore. Yami obviously didn't want to listen to him right now, so why should he bother talking? He seemed so keen on doing everything his way... He was turning into Seto. Yuugi groaned very audibly and covered his face with his hands at this thought. He knew that his groan went ignored, but he didn't care. He didn't feel like thinking suddenly.

Kage no Tenshi was rushing through the halls, trying to race ahead of the thoughts that were flying through her mind. She had to find a way damnit! If Kelly was already becomming aware of her, then she had to be extra careful with what she was doing or it would never work! She turned a corner and skid to a stop, gasping in absolute and unfeigned suprise. There was another man in here!
"Who are you!?" she demanded, "How did you get in here!? What do you want!?" The man in the turban didn't make a move signifying that he heard her shouting. He was studying the wall in front of her...It was the entrance into her secret hideout. Suddenly, a wall behind her moved down and she spun. Where had that come from? Impossible! She knew of ALL of the routes into this building! ALL of them! What on earth was that?
The man turned and walked into the pitch darkness, the glimmer of his golden earings fading as he walked even deeper into the darkness. Kage no Tenshi could still hear his footsteps. It sounded like he was going up to a second floor... She turned back to the entrance of her video room but hesitated before she pressed anything.
If he'd witnessed her trying to shoot Yami... he could bring a lot of trouble. She spun around and entered the tunnel--the wall going back up on it's own, sealing her within the walls of the complex. For a moment, she panicked. Then she remembered that the other man seemed to know where he was going. She had to stop him right? What if he was up ahead closing a door? She had to get there before it was sealed! She didn't know where she was!
She felt along the walls until she felt something that was like a staircase. The walls seemed to disapear around it, and she got the distinct feeling that if she fell of of the stairs--or if they were to break--that she would never be heard of ever again.
She went down on her hands and the pads of her feet.
When she finally hit the bottom, it was still pitch. "Hello? --O?--O?--O?" her voice echoed. She heard a crack/snap sound and spun towards the sound. The man had lit a match and was lighting a candle--and was standing right next to her.
"I was just starting to think you wouldn't come." a voice said.
"What do you mean? You were waiting for me?" she asked the man. He gave her a currious look.
"Did you hear me say something?" he asked. It was a totally different voice!
"I...No---I want to k now why you're here! Where are we?" The man nodded understandingly and proceeded walking towards the center of the room where there was a huge slab.
"We aren't anywhere," he answered in his heavy accent. "This place exists only in your mind. You're inside yourself right now." He turned and looked at her curriously. "You're interesting," he said abruptly.
"...WHHAT!?!"
"You've already got two soul rooms, but you haven't even been tested yet... actually, I thought I saw more..." he seemed to be talking to himself now, "...but they just...disapeared....Like a mirage..."
