As for Boss Zetsubo, why would he eat the babies when he could raise them to be evil? According to studies, children are more likely to follow their father's example than their mother's.

Not too sure. Of course, I could be wrong since my only solid source for this is a pastor at my church. He said that, religion-wise, children are more likely to follow their father's example. If Dad goes to church, the kids probably do too. If Dad skips, it's not too surprising if the kids skip as well.
