She shrugged. "He might complain a bit, but he says he won't make a scene or anything like that. Why?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She yawned and snuggled up against her fiance.

"I've been trying too. But someone keeps talking. Stupid oni." She said, meaning Kage. She mumbled something incoherently and turned over again, searching around for her cat plushie. "Where'd that thing go?"

"Mmmm, thank you." She said. "Yay! I gots me my Midnight back!" She hugged the plushie close, purring as she seemed to be trying to squeeze the stuffing out of it (though she would never really do that.)

"It'd better soon." Neko said, uncurling and streching like a cat. "Otherwise New York's gonna get deluged like in Noah's Ark." Kage agreed with that prediction with a few of his own comments that Neko refused to share.

He shrugged and want back to the bed. He scritched behind her ears a bit. "Speak to someone who was there. It wasn't that big of a flood."

She purred loudly and leaned into his hand. "Well, every religion has a flood story, and most modern scientists debunk the world-wide deluge. So far as I've seen, everything in the Old Testanment, the Jewish Torah and T'nach, has some basis in scientific fact." She smiled. "Ah, the wonders of adaptivity in technology."
