Mara-ani Do you guys ever feel that being younger parents, you get held to a higher standard than people who have children in their 30's? By the general public, I mean. I used to feel that very sharply- but not nearly so much since we moved- our old town was very judgemental/small minded. I think that young parents do get scrutinized a little more closely, at times. I was nineteen when I had my son, Ciaran, and there were times it was rough. I could be sitting next to another, older mother with both of our kids acting up exactly the same way and level, and I'd be the one they'd come and fuss at for not being in control of my kid!! There were times it was pretty amazing. Aside from being scrutinized, I also lost many of my friends who were my age. What person under drinking age wants to deal with a friend's infant, or with how schedules alter and whatnot when a kid's involved? The answer for me was almost none!! Cool stuff: Being a young parent means there is time to be young with your kids!! Not many other parents view the waterpark the same way as young parents often will with their kids. I think I have a good deal more rapport with my son, and partly because I'm a younger parent.

Tomoe_Gozen Ah...I've seen evidence of the youthification that being asian can have on you. I have a friend Tiffy who'd mother come from Taiwan. She's the coolies though. Being a young parent must have been terrible for me... people stopped carding me way before my same-age friends... with or without my son with me! *grin* Ah well.

I have good news! D is starting his path to crawling. He pulls himself with his hands and pushes himself foreward with his feet. It kind of looks like crawling, but not quite. It's really cute to watch. heart

Yay, way to go D!!
Ha, that thread was so amusing. Tommy asked me why there's so many idiots on this site. I told him, I stay in the smart, cool section.
He did bring up something, what do you all think about this "It's cool to be Nazi" trend going on here on Gaia? Am I just easily offended or do I think it's just kinda wrong?

Yeah, my son is determined to be mobile on his own steam. He's stuborn like that.
I think it's retarded, but I have a love hate relationship with a Nazi, but I call him not so nice things behind his back. I just happen to be civil to him because I'd prefer not to get in a flame war.

I used to like ED cuz i like intellectual conversations... but, most of ED is very "anti-christian" in there.. and i feel it's unfair for people to say everyone needs to be unbiased, but oh... they can flame with the least mention of church or whatnot... that is not a fair place to talk about s**t IMO... but, all that aside, I personally would take offence at anyone relating anything nazi-ish to be cool! evil Maybe someone needs to have a visit to our International Hallocaust museum here in Bloomfield Hills here in michigan. Or.. how bout you go ask our very prominent jewish community close to where we live how ******** cool nazi's are!!! scream stressed Genocide is not cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I refer you to the second part of the first post in this THREADhmm... the scary part of today's generation coming up is that they fail to see the wrong in their action ... they feel satisfied with the reactions they solicit. I visit coke music when gaia is boring. and, one day i was in this uncover the music game. And, this one girl was sitting there cursing at everyone and just being loud and clamarous. And, some people were getting mad. Well, me being me, I had to spoil her good time. twisted I told the kids next to me not to take her seriously and not get mad. Cuz, the girl was most likely angsty and having teenage mood swings.. and was currently feeling s**t and wanted to drag everyone else right along with her. And, not to give her any reactions because her foul behavior was just of such to solicit reactions to her. And, when i told them, they started ignoring her. And, she was like I hate you gracE!!!!!! and starting casting all incomprehensive levels of profanity my way... lol xd and, i was like... Yup see guys. What'd i tell you... now she's all pissed cuz I blew her cover... lol it was sooo funny to me. I had half a mind to follow her around after that but i didn't. Anyhoos... so then she started making other insults about me. and i was like, well if it makes you feel better to spiritually vomit like that.. go right ahead. I won't stop you. And, I'll be your friend if you need one. But, you aren't gonna make me mad or piss me off cuz i know exactly what you're up to. and she left.

It threw me off when you said she was a teen (teen angsty thing) cause that incident sounded a whole lot like one of my preschooler's tantrums.

Wow, she does sound like a preschooler throwing a fit.
I'm really tolerant of everything else. I'm not Christian, but I try to listen and learn as much as I can about a lot of religions. I do think in ED they tend to just insult you if you say you are Christian, which isn't right.
I just can't sit here and do nothing about this Nazi craze. He was a murderer, 6 million Jews and that's someting to emulate, I wouldn't even want my name close to that. I just wonder if this is going to be something I'm going to have to deal with here on Gaia?
But the minute I try to make a thread saying how stupid this Nazi is cool trend, I'm going to be flamed for being a bigot and how this relates to be racist, which uhm, I'm sorry, this is another ball park!!
Heh, ED seems to raise my blood pressure.

lunashock Heh, ED seems to raise my blood pressure. I used to post in there... but now i get a headache simply looking at the subjects of the threads... My view on ED: - Pointless - 90% of the time, when a thread is created, there is no 'Discussion'... just flames, or a series of 'my view is' posts... - ED is full of Attention-Needing teens, intent on proving their 'intelligence' by putting others down (flames), that get off on 'proving' people 'wrong', and that say all sorts of random things -- such as claiming to be a Nazi -- to shock anyone with a brain and/or foothold on reality, and to impress the rest of the angsty teens that populate the area.
