He never did much care for the ways of other Totoma with their warring rage, preferring learning medicine and mysticism from his new friends. The bugs he crushed underhoof made good components to his poultices and remedies, and when found by those who knew him, they mocked it and called him Cicada-Crusher. He didn't mind.

So when Blood and Bones had called for comrades as he scaled a small mountain near home, though the others kept playing below, she made her way to follow him, watching to be sure that his footing was okay as he climbed a determined path towards a tower of rocks that he swore would house an eagle’s nest. She hadn’t seen or heard the mother eagle he was sure had flown away moments before, but she wanted to make sure he was fine all the same. Besides, a little adventure was good now and then.
She certainly hadn’t expected the nested twigs settled in the crevices above as they crested the top. There were a few eagle babies, in fact, but they were not young enough that they could not make an escape. As the young zikwa bumbled forward, many of the eaglets came to alert and began toddling towards the edge of their safe nest – urging Blood and Bones to try to get to them more quickly. Unfortunately, he was more focused on the eaglets than on the precipice beyond, and was pressing dangerously forth.
“Brother, wait!” She called, but she knew he would not react quickly enough. She thundered forth and reached him just before he found the edge, head-butting his side as gently as she could to toss him back from the edge, though her trajectory was already set and she instead went tumbling over the edge. She scraped down the jagged edges on her side, a nice gash opening along her belly and at the base of her jaw – a trail of blood left its bright mark against the dull rocks. She landed on an outstretched rock below and composed herself after a few deep breaths. She was able to pick her way back up the edge and return to safety. But the red trail of Blood on the Mountain remained for weeks after her tumble, and she earned a scar and a name for her protective streak.

The skilled, clean cut she makes allows blood to flow cleanly, but it's he that places it somewhere elevated, on a boulder, and directs all the blood to flow into a large tortoise shell. Drinking this, he tells those who ask, will allow them to become stronger. Better. Blood-Let, they call him in response.

The movement is practiced, smooth, the sound repeating like a precise, steady heartbeat thrumming underneath whatever conversation they might be having with her. Enough time in her presence and it becomes comforting. However, it is not conversation that explains the fixation, but action.
It is never long before one gets to see the results of her work; she does not resist her brother’s call for blood. Her answer is sudden movement out of the relative still. The hunt is a quick burst of motion, the opposite of the languid lull of her hooves sliding against stone. Her labor pays off in the form of a deep, dark gash across the throat of her prey; her hoof, sharp from the stone, cuts easily into flesh. A single wound makes for a clean kill, a pretty prize for her brother to tend. One observance of this deadly call and response is enough to forever remind onlookers of her vicious intent. For some it is laudable, for others it is unsettling, but eventually all come to know it as her name. Stone-Whet they call her for all who meet her should beware, her hooves have been sharpened against stone.

Colorist's Username: Amorpheous Method of obtainment: RLC Totoma's Name: Wrong Owner Username: Baneful Link to uncert:[x] Name Origin: They consistently told him that discovery and investigation were no place for a Totoma, that even though he had never so much as seen a tundra, was small and without armoured scales that he should think of honour and battle at all times. He preferred to think about how things functioned and what went on inside the living creatures of the swamp.
He wasn't a fighter and frankly thought there were better ways to do everything than what he was told again and again by his elders, his stubbornness was renowned.
Each time he was told how things should be, he would rant and argue and bitterly defy it until eventually, - in a way that felt completely natural to everyone else in the herd - he became known simply as Wrong.
It was just incidental that was what he called everyone else right back.
