Allen nodded, "He'll be fine, but..." and he flipped open his TADS and opened the announcements folder in his already open e-mail. "... this could be a problem. He's one of my powerhouses and still needs at least a week before doing anything strenuous." He was silent for a moment, "Not that I don't have confidence in my other Pokemon." He chuckled, glancing over to Banette, who'd woken up to look for him.

"I still see where you're coming from," the boy empathized. "It's hard to be down a member, no matter how strong. And for it to be one of your strongest, especially with Sunday's mission coming up..." The boy looked to his belt. "You can always borrow one of my pokemon, ya know? I'm sure they'd love to help!"

Allen waved a hand, "Nah, I wouldn't want to do that, I have faith in my Pokemon anyhow." He threw a fist up in a comical pose. The silly antics were becoming daunting, he huffed returning to a regular stance, "Sooo, let's forget that just happened and what do you say you and I go..." He pulled out one of the fossils the two of them got a few weeks ago, "...and get these puppies revived?"

"Yeah, no doubt!" Cody threw a fist up in return. He'd seen his friend in action before and read his mission summaries. He knew without a doubt that Allen would be ok. Turning his attention to his partner's last statement, he looked puzzled. "Wait, I thought they were just prizes to look at. What do you mean.. revived?"

Allen grinned widely. "Hahah! I take it you don't know then." He patted the stone and turned it, showing off what he first thought was just an engraving, and prepared for a speech, "See, I was doing some research on this guy, trying to see what kind of price I could fetch for it. Admittedly, I like the way it looks, but in the end it's a stone, and there are far prettier ones that can be admired." He chuckled, "Anyhow, it turns out, I came across this article depicting fossils and how they could be revived into Pokemon that existed in the past and eventually became extinct. Then I turned my eye to different types of fossils, and this guy here?" He patted it a couple more times, "This is a Dome Fossil. It can be revived into a Kabuto." He quickly pulled up a picture of Kabuto on his TADS after setting his fossil carefully back in his bag.

Cody's mind was blown. "So, you're saying that certain fossils can be turned into physical pokemon?" the boy asked, astounded by the news. He quickly reached in his bag and pulled his own fossil out, looking it over. "As in pokemon we can use and take into battle with us? But how...?"

"Exactly, battle, train, befriend, everything!" He chuckled, "Apparently there are researchers that have been able to take the DNA from the fossil and basically make a kind clone of the Pokemon, of course there were a few articles that put it a different way, like, they literally carved the Pokemon from the rock and somehow regenerated it. Of course, I know nothing about things like that so I can only guess." He shrugged, "Now see, therein lies a problem, the closest place that can revive our fossils is all the way on the other side of the region in Rustboro City. It's free, but it would take forever to get over there even on a bike."

"No... Way..." Cody's mind had just about exploded in his head. "So, since you know about yours, can you tell me anything about mine?" The boy held the fossil up to Allen. Clearly imprinted in the rock was a thick root with leaves sprouting from the ends. "And if you're looking to get from point A to point B quickly, I have just the thing." He grabbed a pokeball from his belt.

"Hmm..." He pulled up the article about the different types on known fossils. His eyes followed the lines carefully going back and forth from the rock and the screen looking at the various fossils, "Looooks liiiike. A Root Fossil." He tapped away typing the name to find the Pokemon it used to be, and might be again soon, "Lileep, there are fewer pictures of it than Kabuto, but here's what it looks like." He turned the device to show Cody. He piped up when he heard there was actually a mode of transportation for them, "So long as it's not a Teleport move, I'm game." The last time he'd been transported he nearly chucked.

Cody stared intently at the pokemon that was supposedly going to pop out of the rock he held in his hand. He didn't know how this was going to happen, but Allen seemed optimistic enough and pretty sure of himself, which gave the boy hope. "Looks like a grass type from the picture and the brief description," he mentioned, scrolling through the article about the pokemon. "I can only wonder how long they've been doing this for." When he finished reading, he pulled his attention back to the pokeball he held in his hand. Clicking the middle button that separated the two halves, he tossed the ball into the air, releasing his ghost type, Rotom, into the room. The little orange pokemon zipped around, possessing as many objects as it possibly could in as short of a time as it could manage. The trainer called to his pokemon, quickly grabbing its attention. "Rotom, we need to go to Rustboro City here in the Hoenn region. Can you take us there?" The ghost type spun in a circle and zipped to the closest television. Cody looked to Allen and gave a nod. "Hold on to your dinner," the boy recommended, walking up to the television just as Rotom posessed it. The device glowed with a purple aura, shaking a bit before emitting a portal from its screen. The portal's suction was strong, ripping the two boys from their feet and sending them flying into the box.

Allen acted quickly calling his two other Pokemon into their respective Pokeballs just as he was being sucked in. He landed face down, first thing he noticed was that the ground was freezing, next thing he noticed was that his body had no intention on holding his lunch. None whatsoever. He located the nearest bush and scurried over to heave. "You learn new things every day." He panted.

Cody's legs collapsed under his own weight as he struggled to keep his bearings upon their arrival. "You alright?" he called to Allen, hearing the puking noises in the background. Poor kid. Everyone adjusted differently. The boy looked around. Streetlights flooded the empty sidewalks in the dead of night. "Where to, Mr. Leader? Everywhere is closed. It's the middle of the night."

Where indeed... Allen took a few breaths to make sure he wasn't going to vomit again. Wobbly, he sat back and opened his TADS to find their location, "Looks like we need to find the Devon Corporation building. He opened a window detailing their business hours. "And we're in luck! The research facility is open twenty four hours a day." He exclaimed, thanking whatever deities that governed the universe that he wouldn't have to mess around with the revival process and accidentally cause a mutant to walk the earth in some horrific freak accident.

Cody looked around. He had only been to Rustboro a couple times, once being when he was little, then again to take on the gym, and once more after he first started Aqua to bring home 'THE. GOODS.' Reminiscing, Cody realized how horrible of an introductory mission that was. While everyone went inside to battle, Archie had left him outside with a can of spraypaint and his imagination. "Seeing as how Devon pretty much runs the Hoenn region, I figure we're looking for the tallest building. Boy, do I wish I had a flying type."

"Devon... Devon, why does that sound so familia-" Then it hit him, "Dude... We flat out robbed the hell out of that place before!" He was freaking out in a hushed manner. "You know they probably have our faces somewhere on camera!" It all came rushing back to him.
