Shiro pursed his lips thoughtfully.
"You know," he said quietly, "there's really only one way to find out.
He fell silent as he began planning the experiment in his mind. He would need some help ...
Andarien looked at Shiro anxiously. "Should we be worried?" he asked.

"It depends, what do you have in mind Shiro?"
Though even Miyuki was wary, because in her mind the most direct way to find out was for someone to try it. She didn't like that idea and hoped that wasn't what he was referring to.

Shiro just smiled.
"Never you mind, I'll get it all figured out," he promised. "And while I'm at it, I'll see if I can get any further with trying to figure out how to make more potions. Bring your berry planters by my room later on, before you go anywhere ... I have a feeling those berries are the key to it, but I don't want to use all the ones we have."
Andarien nodded. "After breakfast, then," he agreed. He was just happy to know that he didn't have to worry about Eon accidentally poisoning anyone.

"Well do that," Miyuki nodded, "Just try not to overwork yourself okay?"
She didn't know why she bothered, she doubted Shiro felt overworked at all. He seemed to enjoy it all, for that she couldn't fully understand.
"Will you be around after lunch to watch the spar?"
At least it would get him to not work for a small while.

Shiro grinned. "Are you kidding? I wouldn't miss that for anything. However, I am going to take a quick nap first, and then work through the afternoon, I think."
He pushed his chair back and stood up. "I'll see the two of you later. Bring your berry pots to my room just before lunch."
He tucked his now sleeping tablet under one arm and left the dining hall, covering up a yawn.
Andarien stretched a bit. "Well, I'm gonna have some breakfast now," he murmured. "Mi, what are we doing today, other than watching Alassëa spar?"

"It depends," Miyuki replied, "I think mom and ada have plans, but I do want to go through that book Shiro gave me, and learn more about what Ai can do."
Sure they had time, but she had been waiting so long for that book and she wanted to get Ai's abilities down before they started exploring. Maybe it was still that unspoken fear from her childhood, that old memory of hiding and the smell of blood. Andarien had been lucky to be so young to not know about it at all.

Andarien nodded. "I'll ask Nana and Ada what they're doing, maybe I can go with them. With Eon and Ponydash!"
He grinned as he said this. He was excited to be able to do things with his pokemon again, now that he knew that it would be safe for him.

Miyuki smiled at that, "Go do that, I bet they'll probably want to look around the city."
Something Miyuki was sure she would do sometime later, even though she still wasn't sure how long they were staying.

Andarien finished up his food quickly and then headed over to their parents to ask just that question.
"Nana, Ada," he said, coming up behind the two, "what are you doing this morning?"

"We're going to take Lancaeriel around the city," Lin explained, "So really we'll just be exploring as much of the city as possible before lunch."
She smiled at him, noting that he was asking and not Miyuki.
"Would you like to come?"

Andarien's eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly. "Can Eon and Ponydash come, too?" he asked hopefully. "Ponydash has been cooped up for so long, and it would be really good for Eon to get out, too, I think!"
Earendil chuckled softly and turned to Lin. "I don't see a problem with it, do you?" he asked her with a smile. "It's kind of the reason we got them for him, after all."

Lin nodded, "I don't see any issues with that. Ponydash probably needs better exercise anyways."
So it would be good for him to get out with Andarien.
"Do you know if your sister would want to come?"

Andarien shook his head. "No, she said she wanted to read through the book Shiro gave her," he replied. "But she's big enough she can go to the city any time she wants, so that's probably why."
He paused and looked up at his parents seriously. "We're going to be back to see Alassëa spar, right?" he asked them. "Because I've heard stories about how good she is but I've never seen her in a real fight, only when she's teaching Mi a bit."
He didn't want to miss this at all.

Lin chuckled and nodded at this, "Yes, yes we are. We wouldn't want to miss that neither."
It was rare to see Alassea really fight, so she understood the excitement.
"As soon as we finish breakfast and find Lancaeriel we can head into the city."

Andarien grinned. "I'm finished!" he beamed. Suddenly his eyes grew wide. "Oh! But Eon and Ponydash haven't had anything ... is there time to feed them now or can we feed them in the city?"
He didn't know if there would be food for them there, but he didn't want them to go hungry.
