She chuckled leaning on him for a second and shaking her head, "I figured you'd at least learn the Paso Doble. It looks like your style..." She paused and glanced around sneakily like. "I picked up this book called Ghouls Guide to Ballroom dancing when I was looking for mask ideas."
She grinned, "It's a very bad a** style of ballroom dancing." She informed. "They showed vampires dancing it. Very awesome with their capes." There was a moment where she stared at him when he stuck his tongue out, it looked like she had considered grabbing it. Which would've allowed for her to pull out a cliche` 'Cat got your tongue?' moment.

Junko nodded. She appreciated that, though the music seemed to be slowing down anyway. Good. She placed her hands on his shoulders, lips pouting a little as she glanced down to make sure her dress was safe from being stepped on. Oh, good. It was safe. Back to Mac. His question surprised her. She blinked. "I like honesty." Had...had he done something wrong? Was he about to tell her something she'd rather not hear?

Roch snorted. "Nah, no dancin' for me. I grew up on the streets, not in the ballroom," he told her straight off, spinning her again. "Me, I'm best left with a guitar in my hand and only a fork and a knife. Anythin' more than that and I toss them all over my shoulders and eat with my hands," he told her. "If you're lookin' for a classy dancer, we can find you a demon."

The reaper looked up at Mot as he scanned the crowd and announced all his dancing partners were busy. As he named them one by one, Hel’s gaze went about the room to try to find them, and at the mention of Lizzy, she frowned a bit. Yeah. Still couldn’t help that when she heard the ghoul’s name. “ Pfft. Just go cut in, Mot.” Hel encouraged. “ Just be a pry-bar…like for Shun and Mitsu…I saw Freya split the two earlier…” She shrugged a bit and swirled her cup again. “ Oh bah, you are not stopping me from anything. I am an asshat magnet tonight apparently…you know that jack damn vampire from GroanSpring is here?” Hel scowled. “ But ah, do not let me hold you up from anything.”

“Not, I’m afraid unless I plan on shedding a great man feathers and we find some tar. But honestly I’m quite fond of my feathers.” He admitted. “I haven’t quite as many colors as my relatives yet, but I keep hoping.” He tiled his head. “Where are you from?” He asked, “Have you been around for some of these most curious events that I have heard the hints of whispers about?” He was curious to say the least, but he assumed he’d have to coil on Remy or Jack to get a full run down, because other than that he wasn’t sure who might or might not have been here the whole time, and there were so many new faces he couldn’t even begin to guess at.

Willow shook her head, "Ah your just afraid you'd enjoy it." She teased, "After all I wouldn't want you to to ruin your street cred."
She rolled her shoulders a bit watching him before she was spun around again. "Hm, a guitar, fork and knife. So you're talented enough to eat and play at the same time?" Willow was joking but paused when he mentioned Demon.
"Nope, I don't need a demon," Her face turned a bit serious, "Specially if you're going to pull someone like Johnny Danger out." Willow didn't know how so many ghouls could like the demon.

A Horseman? Taima's eyes widened at the realization that all this time, she'd been talking to one of them, the ones she'd heard and read about. Rumors swirled like riptides as to the circumstances of their arrival with little hard evidence to substantiate any of them, encouraging wild speculation among those who, like Taima, didn't know the facts. A thousand questions danced on the tip of Taima's tongue, desperate to be answered. She hardly knew where to begin! However, it seemed that her curiosity would have to wait. Taima gasped in surprise as her newfound friend abruptly dropped to his knees and started hacking. "H-hey, um," she said worriedly, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay? Do you need me to find you some water or something?" Sal was clearly in no state to answer her, his thin frame shuddering beneath her hand. "Don't worry, I'll, um, find something," she said, trying and failing at reassurance as she looked around the room for something, anything that might stop Salbei's cough. Unsurprisingly, he aimless search turned out fruitless, and as she turned back to Salbei she noticed the red stain slowly spreading across the fabric of the scarf he was coughing into. Crap. Taima didn't know how to deal with this! She released Sal's shoulder and hopped onto the buffet table with a flap of her wings, not really caring what she landed in. "IS THERE A HEALER IN THE HOUSE?" Taima shouted over the music. " SALBEI'S, LIKE, DYING OVER HERE!"

"If I win..." Needle paused, listening to the rumble of his stomach as she thought pretty hard on this. Muka was pretty easy going; anything she wanted to do he eventually caved to, up to and including letting her tattoo him one day. Hmm. What to do, what to do... "...You have to teach me to swim! If you can not swim, we must learn together!" The ghoul perked up; she didn't know how, but it was one of the many things she wanted to try. Proud of her stakes, she tilted her head towards him with a bright smile.
"And if you win?""I don't like you." Mac said honestly the moment he was able, his voice still very low, to keep it between the two of them. Hey, she said she liked honesty! He liked being honest, especially when it was something considered mean. "And I know you don't like me, I deserve that much." He had yet to miss a beat in their little dance, his hands on her waist, but too stiff to be doing anything but just resting there as he guided her along.
"But I'm going to try and be nice to you despite that because, for some reason, Lizzy values you. Too much, I might add." Junko this, Junko that...sometimes, it got annoying to him. Very annoying. But it was Lizzy, so he could put up with her particular quirks. Practice and experience made him able to not worry too much about her dress, so he didn't bother glancing down between them to see. Instinct was his friend, apparently.
"And I would appreciate it if we could at least pretend to be on good terms with me, too." He continued to lead her around, soon taking her hand to easing her into a slow, careful spin. "For Lizzy." Mac added, clearly the most important reason as to why she should pretend with him.

"Swimming?" He tilted his head curiously. "Alright!" Muka perked and bobbled his head. Even if he won, he'd still like to try swimming. The strix had no fear of water but he'd only really bathed or been in water that he could stand in. Mostly he'd waded in it and never actually been.. swimming. "If I win, you and I will go shopping together." Muka giggled happily. "My treat. We will have a proper maul trip and do all the fun things. Have you ever done anything like that?" He would also probably spoil her rotten. AND HIMSELF TOO. He loved the maul. "What do you say to that?" He seemed eager to start, his eyes darting down to the plate.

Sal tried to shake his head no; he didn't want her to find help. He didn't want more attention than he was bound to get, but it seemed that the gesture was lost in the way he convulsed with each racking cough. He felt the cloth against his mouth grow wet as he began to cough up blood; damn, this was a clean scarf, too! He was trying so hard to keep himself clean for this!
No amount of terrible hacking cough could prevent him from hearing Taima's yell, his already stress-flushed face darkening in embarrassment. No no no, he shouted mentally though he knew she wouldn't hear it. "A-ah...sssst---" Mental commands weren't working, so he tried verbal ones. Clearly, that didn't work either. His next shot, somewhat of a long one, involved stretching the hand that had been grabbing the table, patting around until he found her ankle. At least, what he assumed to be her ankle. Whatever it was, he gripped it tightly, hoping to stop her from screaming.
Somehow.

Well, that sort of sealed the deal, didn't it?
Admittedly, she thought that the sudden action would have sent the horseman in a flight reaction, like a startled animal. As the tense moments melted away, and he returned the affection once again, she leaned in to him a bit.
A soft sigh escaped from the horsewoman as Mengyao wrapped himself around her more, his much taller form engulfing her small form. She couldn't help but chuckle softly during the second kiss, unable to shake the small amusement that came from who-knows-where.
"Your height is making this a little difficult." She murmured against his lips as she broke off the kiss, taking a moment to look down behind her, at her feet. She was basically on her tip-toes. Looking back at Mengyao, she rubbed her thumb against his face, having left them there in the momentary shock, feeling a little youthful and sheepish, like . . . well, a girl at the ball. Giddy, she assumed. It was not a feeling she experienced often - having been in such a strict environment as a youth.Spinning his brother-in-arms around, he stuck his tongue out at the little fireball of a friend barked out at them again. "You're just jealous that we didn't have any dresses for you~" He mocked Pachua, before giving him a soft grin.
Ask the end of Remi and Jack's dance, he gave his friend a little curtsey, looking around. "I'm gonna go see who else I can prank, possibly." He stated, his wry smile lingering as he wandered off in to the crowds, trying to see if a certain kitsune was around, his tail flickering behind him contently.
It took him a few moments of hard looking, but he caught the smallest glint of golden hair and pretty looks, wrapped in a soft dress, and being escorted by one of the cerberus brothers. He didn't know exactly which one it had been, only knowing them by title than anything, he quickly wandered closer to them, before grabbing his skirts and billowing them out to give Tomoko and her escort a showy curtsey.
"Tomo~," He sing-songed to her, standing straight again. "Could a lonely cat borrow you for a dance, possibly?" He asked, feeling a little bold with his sudden proclamation, looking to the canine boil, hoping he wasn't encroaching too much.

Amarus had never been asked so many questions about being a Lotus Eater, before! Not that it was unpleasant; in fact, it was kind of nice. It made her feel like she actually knew something about who or what she was, even if she had to learn basically everything she knew about it in the first place. Having no memories past waking in the Haunted House that one time made certain things difficult by default. "I'm not sure, it seems about the same? If anything, a bit harder, the stronger my essence gets."
Lizzy wasn't making her uncomfortable with the questions! No, not at all-- it was more her sheer cuteness that made Amarus slightly uncomfortable. She was so adorable that it hurt to look at her. "He taught me some swing dancing! And he showed me how much fun it is to be spun," Amarus said, her face lighting up. She did love spinning. She didn't know it was supposed to be a trusting activity, though, until Mac pointed it out after the fact. Was it really?
"Your big brother? It must be nice to be close like that," she said, specifically meaning to Mot, but the way it came across sounded like she meant to anyone, potentially. And then she realized how weird it sounded at all, and got kind of flustered, tugging on her white gloves and looking off towards the punch. "He seemed like he was .. upset, right at the end," she mumbled, not looking at Lizzy still. But as soon as Lizzy got excited, waving her arms in the air and bouncing, Amarus' attention was back in the moment again.
And she laughed. "Um, Lizzy... not that I was looking, but... don't you worry about uh..." Amarus sort of crossed her arms over her chest, maintaining very firm eye contact with Lizzy so she didn't accidentally glance down. Amarus' face got kind of pink, and she tilted her head, bells ringing. How ... could she just move to the music? Oh dear. This was too much improvisation for her.

Well, in the end she combined some flailing with some of her fighting style and ended up in a completely ridiculous sequence of moves... and there was spinning. Of course there was spinning. She kind of stopped at the end of it, rubbed the back of her neck, and said: "Um, Lizzy... got anything you can show me how to do? I think I'm doing this wrong...!" Amarus said "Um Lizzy" so many times she may as well call her that.

The sound of a foot stomping on the floor was easily ignore amidst the dancing and music. Fai had finally managed to snatch one of the "phones" from an errant purse and was starting to try and make it do things when the silly ghoul started screaming over his best friend. Alas, what could a horseman do? He slipped the phone into his robes and weaved his way through the crowd. "Hello, scareling?" he called up to Taima. "Please do calm down, he's not dying. Sal, shall I help you out?" he asked the choking man. It wasn't how most would interpret it, though. He meant out of the auditorium.

Taima nearly fell off the table in surprise when she felt Sal's fingers wrap around her ankle, and she didn't notice the other Horseman approaching them until they addressed her. "He's not?" Taima asked as she hopped down. "Because you know, what with the coughing up blood and all, it's easy to think otherwise. Like, why are you even asking if he needs help? He's on the floor pretty much literally coughing up a lung, so yes, I would say he needs help." +1 for diplomacy in a time of crisis.

The fins that made up Merope's "mask" flexed, clenching on reflex as Lizzy encouraged him. "I... Yeah, I'll try. Thanks," Merope stammered, returning her hug and giving the ghoul an embarrassed grin before she whisked away to speak with other people. The undead withdrew from the dance floor, moving towards the food table. He grabbed a random tidbit of food at random and began to watch the other guests, content to observe for now. Dragain Thank you for dragging Merope in! <333
