As Riley coiled away from his too-late attempt to close in, Christof recoiled, outstretched hands slowly returning to clasp in front of his chest, his face flushing.

Eyes quickly scanning for signs of the fleeing Andeon, he saw no sign of him and so tried to find something else to focus on, letting Jericho do what apparently was needed.

After a moment, he finally spoke up in a hoarse whisper, with his mouth if only for the Dragon's benefit. "He ith wicked, Mithtreth..."

There wasn't much else he could do besides wait to be dismissed. Again.

For a moment or so, Jericho stared hard at the retreating Mindflayer. Even if he didn't know his history with Riley he would have thought Andeon to be quite the a*****e. Narrowing his eyes, he shook his head to himself before glancing to the side at Christof. The male mindflayer was indeed wicked... and not in a sense that was meant to be complimentary.

"Are you ok?" he asked her quietly while holding onto her. He doubted she was in any physical pain right now. A little drop like that wouldn't have done much to her. Riley had taken far worse and all. It was her emotional and mental wellbeing he was more concerned for. He didn't know what Andeon might have thrown at her.

Riley's eyes finally tore away from the spot where Andeon had been, and looked up at Jericho with a smile in her eyes.

Of course I'm okay. It was just a little fall. Come on, up we go.

She moved to stand with him, turning just in time to see Christof backing away. She looked a touch surprised, but it was fleeting. His words made her chuckle, if only for just how true they were - but before she could respond, she realized he had spoken them, and her eyes widened coupled with a furrowed brow.

She reached up to take Christof's chin in her hands, nudging his mouth open to see the tongue. Christof.. why would you do that again? It's just going to hurt you. Who were you so desperate to talk to, this night?

Cady was surprised from her vacant starings at the tentacled goings-on by...someone. Someone with food. She followed the arm holding the plate up into the face of-

Oh. "Ah, uh, yes, I guess, uh huh. Christof did a really good job on the, the stuff, and Lizzy and Nuk...Riley...Ash..." His ears looked soft. What a strange thought. She broke her gaze away and took the offered fork, stabbing into a sausage. Food was safe, right? And she had survived one dance.

Why had THAT come to mind? Somehow though, the idea of dancing under the connotations of a date felt significantly more awkward. Maybe he wouldn't ask. She watched as Christof and the bat winged boil went to comfort their friend, who looked like she had been about to take another impromptu nap. No escape there either.

Yep. She was on her own. Not even Emily was in sight. "So. Yes. Lots of hard work, definitely. Have you been having a good time?"

"Ib wab mabah Barf'b ibea..." He mumbled, face flushing hotly as she squeezed his mouth open, obediently sticking out the pickled tongue. His breath stank of vinegar. But it seemed she had noticed him, finally! His heart was racing almost as fast as it had when Shehk had kissed him.

With sigh of relief, Jericho nodded to Riley with a smile before standing up with her. The experience with Andeon was worrisome, but he was fairly certain that if there was something really really troubling her, she'd open up to him sooner or later.

Once up on his feet, he smoothed out his fancy coat some, and turned his attention towards Christof.

He couldn't help but furrow his brow at the mindflayer's words as she also examined the Igor's mouth. The dragon didn't know what the deal was with the speaking out loud, but apparently it hurt the guy? It was a curious thing for sure, but he didn't ask about it right now.

As for Christof's reply, he could barely understand what the hell he had just said.

The manticore was nervous, it seemed. It was cute, in an amusing sort of way. "Lots of hard work," he repeated, "I'm sure."

He noticed her wandering gaze, which caused his attempt to grin and bear his loneliness inconvenience of pretty much loosing one date and having no choice but to share the other in a manner of speaking. Her mind was elsewhere, but why?

"Emily might have left." He stated, almost flatly. "I'm not sure. She was here with me... Then she wasn't." It probably hadn't helped that when he'd walked away from this very table, he hadn't bothered to look back to see if she was following. He just assumed. And, apparently, that assumption had been wrong.

As for having a good time? Well...

"I can only look at the decorations for so long, Darlin'. I've been waiting a while to catch you. So we could, you know, treat this like the date it's supposed to be."

Riley let Christof's mouth close shut with a snap, dropping her hands. From what her tentacles were picking up, she was never more glad to not have a nose right in front of her face.

Of course it was Barth's idea. She muttered quietly, before taking Jericho in one arm, and Christof in another.

I think I've had quite enough of this dance floor for the moment. Let us return to our guests. And with a determined gait, she headed back to the table - well on her way to drowning her worries in sweet, edible refreshment.

Moure listened as Claire explained her...interesting unattendance of the Open House. It sounded like he'd missed some...odd characters by staying just at the Scario Kart booth. Oh well.

The patchwork then looked down curiously as Claire began to speak. Here it was, the answer to the question Moure had asked. What really had Claire's intentions been? And then, the answer was almost more baffling than Moure had expected. She...liked him? Her smile was sincere, and she didn't sound like she was lying. So..She liked him. Claire, a Gluttony Demoness, liked him, a Patchwork Runner. This was...odd. And guess what? Moure probably wouldn't have figured it out unless Danny had pointed it out. (Apparently, Moure was worse with understanding ghouls than he'd thought he was. (And he'd thought he understood them pretty badly to begin with.))

In any case, Moure nodded as the song seemed to change again, although he still looked a bit baffled. Then, he asked a question to the Gluttony demoness. "What's there to like...?" This was a completely serious question from the Runner. Moure wasn't used to affection, or praise really, as a person. (As a tool, occasionally. As a living being, though? Not so much.) Wait, what were you supposed to do when a ghoul liked you, anyway? Moure paused, looking at Claire again. "We haven't met much, though...Perhaps we could meet again later, if you wanted? You know, get to know each other?"

Moure didn't really realize it, but he'd pretty much accidently just asked Claire if she wanted to go out on a date sometime. Let's just hope Claire doesn't pass out from excitement of the prospect before that can happen.

Date. Why did that word have to come up again? Cady was a manticore. She feared nothing. Nothing. Well, ok, except maybe the consequences of eating another student. But besides that, the ghoul had never experienced this horrible, fluttery feeling. It was as if she wasn't sure what to do or say - which had never been an issue for her. Until today, apparently.

Darlin. "Oh. Well. Yes." Treat it like it a date was supposed to be? Cady had no idea what he meant, but it was Her Duty to be a proper lady and uh. Well, ask, she supposed. "How... how are we treating it?" Yep.

The booth was lonely. It decided to continue shuffling songs all on it's own. How clever of it.

Cady's response brought a grin to his lips. In the dim lighting, with his back facing the bright and colorful lights of the DJ booth... It looked a little creepy, actually.

"Well, first of all..." One of the tabby's ears tilted askew a moment, as the previous song ended and the new one began. That satisfied smile widened.

"Shall we dance?"

Riley paused in her idle demolition of the remaining treats to listen carefully to the song being played.

... Mm. Yes. She looked like she would be grinning if she could. I do, so, very much, like this song.

She would have to go look it up later.

It was quite dark by the time The carriage had came to a half in front of the auditorium, but Astra wasn't worried in the slightest. Hey, better late then never as the old saying goes. Besides, she had been rather entertained by her prom date whom she was very intrigued by. Not only by the way his ghostly form seemed to bounce in a very cartoonish way, but how it seemed to twist and curl into nothingness. Not to mention his mischievousness and curiosity rivaled her own, or perhaps it was even greater? Yes, it probably was.

It was hard for the fairy to keep herself focused, as she continly kept looking at all the decorations that littered the main corridor, not to mention the door that was so brightly colored (and it had sharp jaws as well..she was giving those a wide berth) But this was nothing compared to the room inside! Everything was so brightly lit, and the dance floor seemed to light up he outfit as well, the blue colors of her dress and wings standing out

"This is amazing!" Astra exclaimed, having to keep herself from running off

Blinking at the two for the moment, Jericho soon nodded to Riley as he walked back to the table with the others. Once they were there, he went on and took a seat, pausing as he saw the mindflayer begin to devour the sweets that some of the others had gotten.

"Er... want me to get you some licorice? They might have some at the refresments thing."
