Haro nodded slowly, not really understanding as he finished off the strawberries strewn across his plate. Now all he had left were the pancakse minus a section he had eaten and the part Shin had. Haro wasn't quite used to eating so much, not to mention eating...such different foods, and thus the cakes didn't look extremely appetizing to him at the moment.
"Hn..." Golden eyes dulled considerably. Pain was bad...Why had he liked Wei then?

Shin sat back in his seat, eyes traveling from the other's face to his general features and then along different objects in the restaurant as his thoughts wandered. He yawned slightly - it really was a bit early to be up on the weekend. He would wait for Haro to be done and then they could leave... he might even fall back to sleep when they got home, but he would try not to.
**
A ray of dazzling light traveled down the boy's face until striking his lidded eyes. He squenched them further shut, the extra heat uncomfortable in his dreams, and stirred slightly from his sleep. After a few moments, he was fully awake and sitting up. He rubbed his eyes free of any sleep gunk that might be hiding there - he was usually quite easily awoken and didn't feel at all tired - and slipped out of floor, the floor cold to his soft, pale feet. He walked to the wall and flipped the light switch - the lights came on. Contented, he flipped it back off and padded over to his pack. He had a spare change of clothes... luckily. He took it with his as he searched through the apartment for the bathroom. He found it rather easily and after a few minutes he had washed and dried - for the most part, although his tousled hair was damp, bordering wet - and dressed himself. That done, he wasn't quite sure what to do. Wei didn't seem like the type to be an early riser and he didn't want to be so rude as to wake his host up.

Noting the tiger's wandering gaze, Haro pushed his plate away from him an inch or so after eating one pancake. "Nn, we can go if you want. I'm done," he murmured with a sheepish sort of expression. He didn't feel right for not eating everything served to him but...but he just wasn't hungry...and more importantly, Shin looked bored out of his mind...
----
Wei had been awake for nearly an hour after a series of particularly nasty dreams. Sitting up in bed, the snake had continued his schemes on how to distract the tiger (so hopefully he wouldn't die on him because that wasn't Wei's intention) and return his bird to his rightful spot. With him. He could deal with a little guilt from ruining someone's life, but taking one? That was a completely different situation altogether that he wanted no part in.
Pressing a hand to his head, the dark man sighed. He realized that if he let his bird stay with Shin for much longer that Haro would be too far gone if and when he got him back...and yet on the other hand if Wei allowed them some time he figured if and when he got Haro back the boy would be much easier to break for certain specific reasons. Haro wouldn't want Shin to get hurt.... So promise the bird he wouldn't lay a finger on his precious tiger and all things would be set, right? Of course. Now all he needed was a plan to distract the b*****d... What to distract him with? Who to distract him with? Maybe he could strike up a deal with Vi. I'll make sure Chang didn't kill himself for a week, you go seduce some kid so- No, that wouldn't work. Vi would never do that. The snake grumbled to himself, lips curling into a sneer. He'd figure out a plan somehow...

((xD Vi seduce Shin..? Wei is so messed up.))
He was jolted from his thoughts - mainly about what he would do if Wei came back - as the other spoke. "Nnn...? Oh... right... are you sure you're done?" he asked, looking down at the other's plate. He supposed the other was a bird so he was bound to eat less, just as Shin was a tiger and ate a lot, but he hoped the other was giving his human body enough nourishment. "Alright, then," he murmured, smiling. He gestured to the waitress and sh brought their check and he payed with the money from his wallet. That done, he gestured for Haro to follow him and as the left the small restaurant, he slid his arm around the other's neck - it was cold, after all, and Haro was so skinny he would become a walking popsickle if he didn't watch it.
**
After waiting a few minutes, Liao finally decided that he might as well knock and see if Wei was awake. If he was, well... he could... do something... make breakfast, maybe? If not, he could... perhaps leave a note and step outside and practice the violin? Or... make breakfast. He padded silently over to where he remembered Wei's room was an knocked softly. "You awake...?" he asked hesitantly.

[[Very messed in the head. D:]]
Once outside, Haro blinked a few times as Shin wrapped an arm around his shoulders. It didn't take long for the boy to notice white bandages against the other's pale hands...and just as it hadn't taken long to note the guaze it didn't too much time before the bird was feeling utterly miserable with himself. He still couldn't fully understand why Shin just didn't... push him away. Even after all Wei had did to him, the boy knew, he knew there had to be some good in the snake and so...so even though Wei had hurt him he didn't stop caring for a long time.
He hadn't done anything for Shin in his mind, just made his life a little worse...at least Wei had taken care of him for the most part- but Haro had done no such thing for the tiger. So why keep him around? He understood that Shin must be...lonely without an immediate family, but- but to...the point of putting himself in danger? The boy brought his hands close towards Shin's own hand that was covering his shoulder. Maybe if he tried to take care of him more...m-maybe...he'd feel better. Trying to sheild the teen's bandaged hand from any chilly wind, the boy smiled to himself as a flush crept over his features...he felt a little better, warmer at least.
------
The snake cursed aloud, jade eyes darkening considerably, perfectly calculated plans gone in an instant. He had forgotten all about the kitten. Scratching through his head of dark hair, the snake slid from bed with a more than cross expression. Not bothering to return any studs or hoops to their proper places, nor clothes besides what he already had on for that matter, Wei opened up his bedroom door with a c**k to his head. "You rang?" Pissant...
He really need to take up some sort of anger managment technique because he wasn't mad at the kitten but merely... merely the fact that he had forgotten him. He would've apologized for his crude words but realized they had stayed internal, which was always good. He liked when that happened.
[/edit] I was bored so I CGed that sketch of Shin I did. I think he looks not as smug in this. XD (He looked kind of smug to me in that last picture because Wei was supposed to be in it, all glaring at Shin and whatnot but Wei was not working so I erased him. x3)

((Awww, he looks so cute. whee heart And kinda... bashful?))
They reached Shin's house after a few minutes and he let them in with his key, taking care to lock the door behind himself... just in case. He took a few hesitant steps forward, his arm coming lose around from the boy's neck, and checked on the kitchen. It was... perfectly clean. The maid had come and gone, taking the glass and leaving a sparkling kitchen. He smiled, feeling releived. It was always so stressful to have anything sharp in the house... it always made him so edgy and nervous...
**
Liao looked a little surprised - the other's words hadn't been particularly hurtful, but he had heard the spite behind them. "Oh... nothing. I was just wondering if you were awake," he said vaguely, feeling a little irked and perhaps... hurt? at the other's tone. "I was... thinking of making breakfast out of whatever you have..." he murmured, shrugging slightly. He shouldn't care about anything someone said... he had never really cared before. Perhaps it was just because Wei had shown him some small scrap of compassion... Well, he would have to be more careful from now on... distance himself more from the other until he moved out.

[[I thought he looked creepishly love sick. XD]]
The boy trailed after the other, peeking his head around the entry way, one hand wrapped aroud the molding as he noted the much cleaner kitchen. Haro still felt bad about...dropping the glass but...he supposed if Shin wasn't mad about it then he shouldn't really dwell on it. He'd just have to be more careful next time. He had already apologized a few times, each time Shin blowing it off with some nonsense about how glad he was Haro hadn't been taken away...
He heaved a sigh as he wrapped both arms around one of the tiger's. Nuzzling against the teen's shoulder, Haro mused that if he couldn't express how sorry he was in words then...then at least he could try to make Shin happier, or feel a bit better.
---
Wei frowned slightly at the, more or less, taken aback expression that flittered across the startled kitten's face. He supposed he had sounded a bit harsh. "Eh sorry, you jus' caught me at a bad time," he mumbled in a faintly apologetic tone.
Running a tanned hand through dark hair, the snake shrugged, "I don't care what you do, just...did you sleep okay?" He asked, turning his eyes towards the window in his bedroom. It looked damp outside, but at least it wasn't pouring. As he turned back towards the boy, jade eyes caught sight of blaring red...his alarm clock? Well, the power was on, that was good...

He looked back, smiling, as he felt the other's arms incircle his own. "Well... it's certainly nice to have a clean kitchen," he said, gesturing to the sparkling room. "It's still pretty early, though..." he said thoughtfully as he looked at the clock. Of course, it was winter and the sun rose late, but it was still early - a little after eight. "But is there anything you would like to do today?"
**
Liao's eyes shifted slightly uncomfortably. "It was... fine," he murmured a little nervously. It wasn't a complete lie... he had slept better than he had in the past when it rained, but his sleep had been fitful and he had never quite settled into complete unconsiousness. And his dreams... had not been pleasant, to say the least.

Haro surprisingly had a plan for the day, at least for himself. With an excited expression, the boy looked up with a sweet smile, "Is...is it okay if we...go to the pet store?" He asked, looking almost sad for a moment, "I never got...to say good bye," he murmured, lowering his gaze as his grip tightened slightly.
---
Wei quirked a brow, clearly not believing the young kitten. "Riiight," he murmured with a slight grin. After a moment or so, the snake ventured out of his doorway, frowning heavily at the very cold flooring. "God damn it's cold in here," he muttered in a more than merely agitated tone as he wrapped lean arms around himself. He wasn't exactly wearing suitable clothes for the season...well, at least in his mind. He was pretty sure a pair of boxers wasn't the only thing people wore to bed during this time of year. He figured he shouldn't be risking lowering his body temperature, it was already lower than average on relatively sunny days...
"You okay?" The snake asked as he turned towards the boy, curling his toes in an attempt to warm his feet a bit.

"I'm fine. But you... need to put clothes on, right? Even I can see you don't like the cold," he murmured, turning away from the other as he tried to find the kitchen without immediate success. He finally found it and then, turning back, he said, "I'm going to make breakfast... you're okay with omelette, right?" Omelette was relatively quick and easy to make - and healthy - so it was good. After that he could practice some and then... perhaps see if he could move out...?
**
Shin nodded, thinking that a sensible idea. "Of course we can go," he said, smiling. Haro was so... innocent - like a child, really... Shin preferred that to what people who had knowledge... too much knowledge... did. "Can you remember where it is?"

"It's in the city," he murmured, not knowing exactly where in the city said pet shop was. He knew that he had met Shin after he had finally run free from the place...but the street name? He had no clue. It had all been a very stressful, spur of the moment ordeal and Haro had never thought about telling the other birds and the adorable puppies good bye...he had only been thinking about getting out without being noticed. "I'm not sure...where, I-...why were you in the city the day...I met you?" He asked, looking up with golden eyes before unlatching himself from the tiger, taking a few careful steps into the now clean kitchen.
----
"Yeah, sounds good," he murmured quickly, only half interested. He'd eat anything really, when it came right down to it. Although he liked his stuff raw, if possible, his human form didn't always agree upon his choice of food... As the young man hobbled back into his room with chilled toes, Wei mused that many others like himself probably didn't have the same problems as he did. Although he was blessed by the mere fact that he could change forms without many physical changes, he knew it was a grave disadvantage that his innards got warped in the process- not the point of malfunction, but he still had problems with his body temperature, which he knew was linked to being a cold blooded animal.
Wei quickly wrapped himself in thick outer wear, jeans, two pairs of socks, a shirt and then a sweater over that as well. Green eyes falling upon his mirror, the man ruffled his own hair for a bit before replacing empy holes with all sorts of silver studs and loops. He'd at least try to go for somewhat of a classy look today, even though such an idea was a bit absurd with all his piercings. He figured he could only come off as harsh...
Walking back out after a quick brush through his black hair, the snake leaned against his small kitchen's counter, grinning gently.

He frowned, thinking back to the day. "I was on my way back from visiting Ryan - he lives very close to here, but I took a small detour to pick up some books... Do you think the pet store could be close to there...?" he asked. "Perhaps... if we retraced my steps to the book store... maybe you would recognize the area...?" Well, that certainly sounded better than searching through every single pet store in the city.
**
Liao nodded and trotted into the kitchen, quickly finding the ingredients for a decent omlette with cheese and some spices and vegetables. Nothing too special, but good. After preparing all the ingredients, the kitchen was soon filled with a delicious aroma of cooking eggs and spices. Liao really was a very good cook. He turned the heat off from the stove and divided the omelette into two pieces - his own much smaller than Wei's portion - and served them up, setting the plates on the table. "Where are the forks?" he asked, still not used to the layout of the other's apartment.

Haro nodded softly, bright hair framing his face as he did so, "That...that sounds like a good...-" He started, frowning halfway through, a rather frustrated expression flickering across his face. "...Start?" He suggested with a heavy flush, almost as vibrant as his hair. He'd have to keep on talking when he was with Shin or he'd never get good at it.
Looking up with a slightly sheepish grin, the boy added, "I mean...if...if it's not a problem...for you," he murmured, his tone gentle.
[[Nnn, I have to go. >.>; Wei isn't inspiring me like usual anyway. I never intended to use him like I do now, he was only supposed to be a plot device and add to Haro's back story and such. Poor Wei. n__n;;]]

((Liao was never meant to be an actual anthro... =o He started out as a chara in a Chobits RP.. he was a persocom with cat-like ears instead of the usual... Of course, he never got RPed because no one bought him. -_-;; I worked so hard to make his profile different from the usual happy-go-lucky, cutesy uke persecom... I just... I hate the so happy/clueless/etc. charas that have no depth... Kon is just barely not one of those characters because he can have a very nasty, animalistic temper if soemthing really gets to him...))
Shin smiled. "It's no problem at all. They're you're friends, right...? So you should say good bye to them..." he murmured, looking pleased at Haro's decision.

[[Interesting. :B Honoes, Haro is hated. D: Woe is me.]]
The snake leaned over his own counter, one foot off the ground as he reached for the right drawer. Supplying the teen with two forks, a rather satisifed grin on his face, Wei muttered something most likely obscene as he eased himself back down. "Eh, Kitten, you think your parents will send your stuff here eventually?" He asked, sitting down at the table with a curious light to his face. He wasn't quite sure what the boy would do if his parents didn't send him anything... "'Least they can do for acting like bastards," he mumbled with a frown, occasionally biting at his lower lip.
