The doctor sighed and shuffled away from Kai, waving the nurse off. "Go and get, Ralef, I'm sure he'll want to watch the test," he said boredly. The nurse nodded and hurried off.

Taki shrugged. "I don't know why they're here, i got knocked out before i could ask that question," he looked pointedly at Tala, who ignored him, "If you want to know, ask her. Everything has to be 'strategic'." He motioned to Kia who rolled her eyes.
"I've lost all my faith in you, Taki," she said shaking her head.
"What? It's true, though," he muttered.
"You have a point," she sighed, "They're here becuase they will be useful, basically, even if they refuse to handle weapons."

Brooklyn shot Kia a look. "I can't help but feel that was related to me." He told her, standing up and stretching.
"I told you I'll do anything to help you guys get Kai-" He looked over at Kai, "-er the other Kai back. Do you know how confusing that is?" He asked the general room.
Fayina put up her hand. "Been there, done that." She told him, wrinkling her nose.
Brooklyn blinked. "...Oh yeah..." He said eventually, provoking a grin from Kai.

Kai sighed inwardly. If Ralef wanted to watch it would probably just mean more pain. He was crazy like that.

Rei's eyes opened as he realised he had bugger all chance of getting to sleep. He was still to everything to even contemplate sleeping

Another nurse, blonde this time, leant over Kai and squinted at him. "Ah, so you are awake," she said.

Kia shrugged. "Well, unless you plan to hide behind big, bad Bryan over there, your not much use without a weapon of some sort," she explained.
Tala blinked and though for a moment. "Wait...waht do you mean we're useful?"
Kia grinned, "Well, lets just say I'm going to counteract a crazy plan with another crazy plan."
Taki snorted. "Obviously, this is a funny looking bunch you have here."

Kai raised an eyebrow. "I'd take offense if I didn't know you were talking about yourself." He said coolly.
Brooklyn smirked before leaning again the central table and turning his attention back to Kia. "You have to have some sort of job that -doesn't- involve hurting people." He persisted.

Kai opened his eyed again slowly, wincing at the new pain that caused. He belatedly realised that Sacha's eye colour was brown while his was red, meaning that they had probably done something to his eyes to make them change colour.
The wonders of surgery he thought, blinking rapidly to clear the tears the pain in his eyes had caused.

The nurse tilted her head. "You're probably going to want eyedrops for those eyes of yours. Oh! And you throught is going to be really sore when you talk for a while..."

Taki narrowed his eyes at Kai, "Your part of the weird bunch, if anything, your weirder then me."
Kia thought for a moment. "Um,...no? That's kind of impossible in this situation anyways."

Brooklyn raised an eyebrow and pushed himself up to sit on the table. "Then I'm not doing anything." He told her flatly. "Guns create more problems then they solve."
Kai shrugged. "Probably true." He answered both Taki and Brooklyn, looking between them. "But what else can we do?" He asked.

"Great." Kai grated sarcastically, blinking in surprise at both th pain and hearing his own, albeit scratchy and pain-filled, voice coming from his throat.
He looked around himself, trying to see anything other than the nurse looming over him. "How long until I can be normal again?" He asked, his eyes narrowing at the pain.

Rei sighed as he sat up, looking around Boris's room. He remembered how nervous he'd been the first time he'd come here.
Kia had noticed that Boris had been paying special... attention to Rei she had told him to play along with it somewhat. She had wanted to see if Rei would have any chance of getting close enough to Boris for him to share his secrets.
Kia obviously didn't know how successful her ploy would be. Boris had been his first everything.
Rei shivered pleasantly, enjoying the way being alone in Boris's rooms made him feel. It was nice to know that he was the only person allowed into his rooms without direct supervision from the man himself.
Now, the only thing that he really wanted was Boris. And he wasn't there.
Rei made a face at the irony and snuggled further into the blankets. Hopefully Boris would come back soon.

Kia tilted her head on the side. "Hmm, nearly everything you do creates more problems then they solve but we really don't have achoice in the matter. If Boris goes through with what i think he's going to, a lot of lives are going to be lost, no matter how much he convinces himself that it will do good."
Taki raised an eyebrow and raised his hand, "Ok, i'm still lost with the whole thing. What the hell is actually going on?"

The nurse shrugged, "I don't know about normal, frankly i don't think you'll ever be normal but if your talking about just being yourself again, it should be a couple of days," she smirked, "The drugs are pretty fast in this place."
The lab door flung open an Ralef walked in, as scruffy as ever. "Right," he said marching over to the head doctor, "What did you want me for?"
The doctor motioned towards Kai. "He's awake, Sir, i thought you would like to watch the testing on the chip."
Ralef's mouth quirked into a smile. "Ah, right. Good, good, just excellent," he exclaimed as he made his way over to Kai. The nurse rolled her eyes. "Oh, great..."she muttered.

Kai blinked, unable to move his anything to see Ralef. "What chip?" He asked painfully, opening his eyes wider to try and see where Ralef was.
He looked up at the nurse and repeated his question slowly so there couldn't be any mistaking what he said.
"What. Chip."

"What's he doing?" Brooklyn asked, bringing his legs up to rest on te desk and hugging them. "Do you actually know or do you only have an idea?"
"And how does it involve me?" Kai asked.

Kia sighed and settled herself back on the desk and folding her arms. "I don't know the full details but it's pretty crazy. Something happened here a while back, i was too young to remember and Taki would have been back home where he should've been, but apparently he found something, something that he believes will, purify the worl i guess. And this is where you come in," she looked at Kai, "You, you lucky person, are the only person that can control this being." She shrugged, "Whatever it is, spirit, magical beast."

The nurse smiled sadly, "Ah, you'll see," she said quietly before moving out of the way for Ralef to step closer.
"Hm,"Ralef looked over him, "Well, i guess your back to looking like a waste of time but if this is who Boris wants..." he shrugged and looked over at the doctor. "So the chip is activated?" the doctore nodded in response.
"Good," Ralef turned back to Kai, "Try speaking about Biovolt and what we did to you, i think you might get a pleasant surprise," he said flatly.

"Magical beast or spirit?" Fayina asked skeptically. "Are you sure whoever gave you that information wasn't a little high at the time?" She asked. "Don't you think that sounds just a little crazy?"
"She has got a point." Kai told her, leaning back in his chair. "Even if it was true, why would I be the only one who can control it? I know I'm pretty damn good but-" He went on, ignoring Brooklyn's muttered 'Narcissist' "-Why me?"

Taki coughed at Kai's remark, silently agreeing with Brooklyn.
Kia sighed. "I think that the fact we have two Kai's running around at the moment would seem a little crazy too but hey, no one asked me. And i'll believe anything at the moment. Boris seems dead set on this thing so there has to be some truth to it. I have to give him some credit, he's not the type to chase after something that's out of reach. And thes kinds of stories of spirits have been passed down through generations all over the world. There must be something there if there are so many groups of people to back it up."
She looked over at Kai and shook her head. "I honestly don't know why its you that he wants. Like i said, i was too young when this all happened. How old are you Kai?"

Ralef shook his head at Kai, "You disappoint me but, i guees it'll be more fun when one of yours friends asks where you've been and what happened to you. If i were you i'd get it out of the way now."

"Like I woudl tell them about B-" Kai's eyes widened and he convulsed in pain. He gasped and moved his arms, ignoring the extra oain taht caused to clutch at his stomach.
He held that position until the pain had begun to ebb away, he hesitatingly relaxed on teh table again, afraid taht the pain woudl come back. "What was taht?" He asked Ralef accusingly, keeping one hand on his stomach.

Kai frowned. "Seventeen, why?" He asked, having a feeling that Kia would use his age as some sort of irrefutable proof that he was part of her crazy stories.

Kia nodded. "Yep, too young to remember anything, i was only two and a half then."
Taki shook his head at Kia. "Your getting of topic Kia..."
She smiled sheepishly, "Sorry. Anyways, Boris has this crazy plan thathe blieves will help us all but it wont, it'll only cause destruction and the only way i can think of having a chance at stopping it is by using another crazy plan against him. And that's where i can use you guys. I've been doing some research this past year," she explained as she looked around at all of them.

Ralef's eyes brightened up and his grinned. "Excellent!" he exclaimed, turning to the doctor, "You've out done yourself this time."
The nurse sighed and looked down at Kai, ignoring Ralef, "Would you like anything, water? sedative?"

Kai swore silently to himself before looking at the nurse and attempting a smile/grimace.
"I'm fine." He told her with some conviction. "Thanks anyway."
He looked over at the doctor. "What did you do to me?" He asked.

Fayina sighed and closed her eyes. "I don't know if I want to hear this anymore." She told Kia. "The words crazy and plan when put together spell something completely different." She paused for dramatic effect. "D-E-A-T-H."
Kai raised an eyebrow at Fayina. "So glad you can spell." He commented dryly. "But do we have another choice? Kia's already technically D-E-A-D and I'm getting there twice as fast as I thought I'd be." He said matter of factly. "Not that encouraging."

Kia shrugged, "If it gets us out of here quicker, what's there to complain about? I don't think it's that crazy really, there is a lot of evidence to back up these spirit theories."
Taki shuffled over to the others that weren't participating in the three's little discussion. "I never wanted to be here, y'know. I wanted to be a pilot when i grew up."
"What kind of pilot?" Bryan asked.
"A fighter pilot. This is no airforce," Taki said.
"That it isn't," Tala nodded.

The nurse shrugged and wandered off, keeping a close eye on Ralef and the rest of the group huddled around Kai.
The doctor fixed his glasses and opened his mout to speak when Ralef piped in, "You have some of latest technology, say, installed in you. You didn't think we were going to let you walk out of here and let you tell the whole world what we were doing did you?" He laughed, "Really, we aren't that stupid."
