[Amy ; John : Land of Dragons : Fireworks yard -> Outside the Red Rose]
Amy gave Kyla an incredulous look. "Are you freakin' kidding me? Sephiroth just fell through that door. No way in Kingdom Hearts HELL I'm going through that thing."
John, however, had no qualms with going through. He did so without saying a word.
Amy held on for a second longer. She looked to Kyla once again, trying so hard to keep the door open; Riku was helping her... It didn't take long for her to cave in. The moment before she passed through the door, she paused briefly, looked directly at Kichi-Jon, held out a hand, and said, "Cure," as if saying the name of the magic was somehow required. A cloud of miniscule crystals descending over Kichi-Jon, healing most, if not all, of the damage Sephiroth had done.
And then she was gone from them. The Red Rose loomed large in front of her, magnificent. A fight was occurring not far away...
She moved away from the door, summoning her guns. The others would be through soon. The only question now was, how were they gonna get rid of one of the hardest bosses in the Kingdom Hearts games?

[Sephiroth ; Cloud : Land of Dragons : Outside the Red Rose]
The place they had landed had, out of necessity, been a large clearing among the trees. It was a good distance away from the Imperial City, which is why that had to ride on horseback to get there the first time. Kyla's door had inadvertently saved them a great deal of time.
Cloud maneuvered Sephiroth away from Kyle, whose continued presence was lending a steady stream of light to the ex-Soldier.
"And so it seems even borrowed light can give you strength." Sephiroth said, their swords locked once again. "But we both know, don't we Cloud?" A fierce push and Cloud was on one knee. Blood flowed freely from his shoulder, where Masumane had managed to cut him, but to Cloud's credit, he was still blocking despite the shock of pain running down his all but useless arm. "No matter how much light your allies lend you... I will remain. Only one light can defeat me." Suddenly, Sephiroth was no longer attacking. He stood, staring down at the still kneeling man. "Remember that, Cloud." And then he was gone, teleported away. No sign of him remained.

[Nick :: LoD :: Fireworks Yard > Outside the Red Rose]
With a few grunts, Nick slowly rose to his feet as Seymour gave him a wonderful pep talk about how he should never give up.
Screw you, Seymour. You weren't the one cooked alive by Bishie-Boy's magical fire pillars.
As he moved towards the portal, he couldn't help but grin at all of these people trusted him. It may not have been a hundred percent, full on, undying faith kind of trust, but at least they trust him to go with them on their adventure.
Those two steps through the lotus door brought him in front of a large airship. In response to seeing this ship, all Nick could utter was a word that would get him a whooping from the King himself.

[Alan :: LoD :: Fireworks Yard > Outside the Red Rose]
Alan nodded as Jon spoke. "Good," he said, simply. His voice still had that odd undercurrent of restrained anger. Then, with an evident hurry, he turned back and ran through the portal.
The scene was not at all what Alan had been expecting. For one thing, Sephiroth was absent. For another, the group's ship was not at all what Alan had been expecting. He wasn't quite sure what he had been expecting, but he was pretty sure that at the very least he hadn't expected it to be so . . . big. Majestic, even. Alan caught himself looking forward to exploring the ship for a moment before he noticed that Cloud was badly hurt - far worse than Jon or Kyle. Between the two sights - the ship and Cloud's bloodied state, Alan's anger abated somewhat, dwarfed by awe (for the ship) and concern (for Cloud).
He ran to Cloud's side. "What happened? Did he get you?" He held out his arm, offering it if Cloud wanted to use it to help himself to his feet.
Alan wished he had some sort of healing magic - wounds always made him feel helpless, both in the last world and in this one. Not his own wounds, of course. His own wounds he could tough out. It was the interminable wounds of other people that gave him more agony, for he could do nothing but stand there and watch, wishing he could give more aid than he could. As it stood, all he could do was wait for Amy to come over. He was jealous of the power of White Magic. He was jealous of a lot of things.

{Kyle : LoD : Outside the Red Rose}
It had ended almost as soon as they went through the door. Cloud had saved Kyle from becoming mincemeat, only to get a blow to the shoulder from Sephiroth. And then Sephiroth's little tidbit of information. A rather important bit of information.
Moving over to the side that Alan wasn't occupying, he knelt down next to Cloud. "Cloud..." He started, trying to find the right words for what he was going to say next. "If you'd like, until you find your own light, you can always borrow mine. I'll help you fight him if...when he comes back. Don't struggle through it alone when you have all of us here to help you. And thank you for saving me. He finished, standing up, feeling rather lame. He'd just given a little speech that the man had probably heard a thousand times. And it was more than a little embarrassing. Anyways, Alan was there offering him a hand. He probably didn't need two hands. Given a reason, albeit a bad one, he turned away and caught sight of the ship.
When he had first come through the door, he hadn't really had the time to properly look at the ship. Sephiroth had been much too close for comfort and he was still concentrated on self-preservation. Now however, he had time to properly look at it. And man was it impressive. He had been expecting some tiny little gummy ship. He was proven wrong, quite quickly at that. It was huge. Amazing.
As he was staring there, looking at the ship, he felt the blood from the cuts running down his legs and arms. He had forgotten about them. Huh. Not like they were even very much to worry about. Just slight cuts. Well, not so slight that they weren't producing blood. They were very much doing that. But not like it was going to kill him. Even as he watched, they started to slow down, the blood starting to coagulate. The skin would take a while to heal, but that was fine. A memento of the time that he helped fight Sephiroth.

[Kyla:LoD: Fireworks Yard]
The combined support of her summon, and 2 of her team members really made a difference over all. If left alone in this, Kyla would have crumpled to her knees a while ago, been reduced to a shaking pile. But Riku's own power kept her strength up long enough to last till the last awaited person passed through (Alan).
By then she could feel the tips of her fingers going numb again, but it didn't matter- now it was time to go at last! The Red Rose and everyone else were wiating for them.
" Time to go kiddies!" The blue floating furball announced, giving Kichi the signal!

[Kichi :: LoD :: Fireworks Yard -> Outside Red Rose]
"Alright, hold on tight!" And with that, Kichi used Dragon Leap...at a horizontal angle, accelerating them through the door in under a second.
On the other side, they would pop out at top speed. Kichi quickly reacted, gliding in a wide arc before stopping to ease the slowdown, and ensure they didn't faceplant into the side of the Red Rose.
He looked around for Sephiroth, and noting his absense was very confused. "Wh...what? Where is he?!"

[Nick :: LoD :: Outside the Red Rose]
"Is it not obvious? He left. Left like the coward he was." Nick grumbled, then stumbled. His legs were still sore after Sephiroth's overpowered fire attack, and frankly, he hurt.
"I have a question. Actually, a statement. I need a medic or some potions. Having your legs cooked by a silver-haired shemale with a sword clearly used to compensate for something hurts. A lot." The blonde said with a small hint of a smile, knowing that somewhere, somehow, Sephiroth would fume. Then fix his hair with a gallon of hair spray.

{Leon : Land of Dragons : Fireworks Yard -> Outside Red Rose}
Leon waited until all of the earthlings were finally through the door before he entered it himself. When he appeared outside of the Red Rose and looked around, he was relieved to see that Sephiroth had left, not that he would openly show it. He rested his gunblade on his shoulder.
"Let's get aboard so we can get out of here."
And with that he made his way up the boarding ramp and onto the Red Rose. He would need to have a talk with Cloud regarding what had transpired, if the Buster Sword wielder would even be willing to talk about it.

[[Riku : LoD : Fireworks Yard -> Outside The Red Rose]]
Riku braced himself, and before he knew it they were through the door and in front of a large airship. His eyes darted from one direction to the next, quickly assessing the situation. He relaxed as he realized Sephiroth was nowhere to be seen. He looked back at Kichi, nodding once to show he would be fine then looked at Kyla hoping she was fine as well.

[Kyla: LoD: Fireworks Yard > Outside the Red Rose]
Kyla felt the wind rush by them, a pressure on the small of her back and a taightening around her waist, and the barrier of the two locations whizzed over their heads so fast! Kyla nearly dropped her book Kichi forced them through with one mighty Leap!
Gliding was fun! Not too different from her floating, but Kichi moved WAY faster then she did! Plus Kyla didn't think it came from the aid of his summon- but was an ability all his own.
As they passed the broad side of the Red Rose and were broght down, Kyla was still straining to hold the door, but Riku would see her face looked releaved as the final person, Leon, stepped through the door, and she was at last able to drop the mana drain and let the door disappear.
As they touched down Kyla teetered on her feet and was glad Riku and Kichi were still at her side. Kichi brought Sephiroth's absence to her attention which quickened the severing of her consentration, but she ended the whole thing promptly with a sweep of her hand across the page with the doors golden lines on it. Like dusting away dust or bits of erasor, the lines just blew off with the brush of her hand, and in a mirrored effect, the lotus door outlines closed in on themselves and disappeared. Immediatly she could feel the after effect, her limbs felt heavy like she lifted weights, she knew was at a quarter strength as well- but it would have been a LOT worse had Riku not lent her more energy. Finally she looked up at him, seeing his unspoken question and gave him a reassuring smile, "I'm ok, thank you very much- are you ok?"
Kichi was healed by Amy- God bless her. He'd been hurt badly. That fact twisted the knife of guilt deeper into her gut. Tyue answered her aibous second train of thought. "Sephiroth is sneeky.." She touched down on the ground, and padded up to therest of the group, her long ears streaming behind her. When the furry summon reached Nick she sat back on her hind legs, looking up him with her big blue eyes. " I can help actually. Cloud too. Just a moment." The jewel on the creatures forhead lit up and she radiated this brillant ruby glow with would saturate into Nick's skin. It would tingle and sweep through him like a warm rush. He would start to see wounds would to heal and close up.
When she finished, the carbuncle would then procead to do the same thing to Kyle, Cloud, and whoever else needed healing, before returning to Kyla, Kichi and Riku, and offering to replenish their stamina as well.

[John.:Land of Dragons:.Outside the Red Rose]
John looked down to his side and bit his lower lip. The last few events unfolded before him, and what he needed to happen was not to throw himself into the fray, but to be an essential part of the group that could actually do something rather than haul his a** around at the speed of a snail and then deal a bunch of splatter damage that would do nothing with a single enemy. What he needed was support attacks. A way to heavily bolster the party around him rather than just saving all the strength boosts, mana boosts, and defense boosts for himself.
John leaned on his warhammer silently and pondered what he could do to be able to attain such a thing, but nothing came to his mind other than simply believing he could do it. It was all very confusing how he instinctly knew the right words to say for the right support and attack powers.

[ Seymour : Forbidden City : Fireworks Yard -> Land of Dragons : Outside the Red Rose ]
"A possible harbinger of things to come," Seymour said cryptically, though his tone hardly seemed concerned. He watched as Carbuncle-summon began to heal others, likely bring Kyla's mana to its lowest, especially after the door. Not that it mattered; they were back at their ship, where they could rest and recuperate.
"I suppose we should take the night to rest and leave in the morning," Seymour called, looking at the others. The sun had fallen over the horizon some-time ago, leaving the sky pitch black save for the light of the moon. "You've been through quite a bit today; no use pushing yourself further. Shall we board?"

[Kichi :: LoD :: Outside Red Rose]
Kichi saw Kyla teeter, and immediately reached out to grab her hand, which he took and attempted to put her arm over his shoulder, which he would do as long as she didn't refuse. "I'm sorry, I hope that acceleration wasn't too much...You okay, besides the mana-loss? I'm sure something as amazing and useful as that door would take a crapton to sustain." He looked over at Seymour as the Guado spoke. "Yes...you're right. Let's all get on board and get some rest guys! A little sleep should do us all good!" From there, he turned to the ship, and walked Kyla and himself over to the entry, and onto the ship.

[Cloud : LoD : Outside the Red Rose]
Cloud's typical reply, to Kyle, would have been, "No thanks," but he found that side of his personality had abandoned him for the time being. Or, at the very least, that words had failed him. He managed a noncommittal nod.
His arm, numbed by adrenalin, began to pulse now that the danger was gone; he tried hard to keep the pain from showing on his face, but winced anyway as he took Alan's hand with his good arm. If the effort of just standing up hurt him, perhaps the wound was deeper than he thought. It didn't matter. Sephiroth was gone, and Cloud knew he wouldn't be coming back.
For now.
A flash of red, and a warm sensation had him looking for the source. Kyla. The other 'children' had appeared as well, and he caught sight of the last traces of the door disappearing behind Leon. They were all here. They were all safe.
And healed as well. Cloud shrugged his shoulder, testing it. A lot of eyes were on him, and he felt he should say something. Answer them somehow. Leon, for one, would probably want to talk about this. . .
"He's right. We should go now. Sephiroth–" he paused, "He won't be coming back."
But the words kept coming back to him. Only one light can defeat me, he had said. Not a borrowed one. Sure, Sephiroth wouldn't come back. If Cloud didn't call him.
Troubled, Cloud opened the ramp on the end of the Red Rose. It was ground level, and lead to the chocobo stalls.Red Rose Map
