Effla remained at the doorway, oddly just listening for a moment - some of the words Gordon used were quite alien to her. Her left brow was raised though - the right apparently unable to move along with that side of the face - she did understand, somewhat, what a prince was.
A curious expression remained on the normal half of her face up until Kaori started crying. Effla's left eye blinked and her pointed ears dropped, and her face tuned pink and deeper green. She took a step back, over the doorstep, quite unsure of whether she should just leave or do something.
Trusting what she had learned with non-elves so far, she deicted to just try to not to get involved. Somehow it also meant staying where she stood, shifting her wieght and looking more or less awkward. She glanced at the way leading back to the main enterance of the hospital a few times, for no apparent reason.

Gordon suddenly. " Yeah then that means Meghan must have spilt to like Sora! I'm gonna check" he said looking out the window. His eyes started darting back and forth as he looked. He suddenly sighed and shook his head. " No...I can only sense Sora's...not Meghans. It doesnt make sense. How would Sora surive if Meghan didn't? They where both in the same body!" He said. He looked at Kaori and sighed. He'd let her cry. Sometimes it was the best way to let all the pressure go.
Shepard suddenly piped in: " Fool use your head. meghan has to be alive or maybe her essence. If Sora has her own body then so must meghan. Theres no other way. I don't know where meghan is but i have a strong feeling she is alive and well. And trust me. I am most likley right. But sitting here crying is not going to help and neither is me sitting. The minute I get better i'm leaving this dreadful place. This place is for weak. I am not. I am a proud chaos warrior. Not some sick child with cancer!" he said angerily as he opened his eyes. Apperntly he was still sore over the fight with Mergex.

Kaori listened to everything absently, not entirely focusing. She was too busy screaming mentally at herself for what she'd done. But she caught something about Gordon's father and the EEF thing formerly being one and the possibility of a split. She raised her head slightly, glancing towards Gordon as he said he was going to check. Her eyes were blurry from the tears, but she ignored it.
She burried her face qiuckly again as he claimed he couldn't sense her. She clenched the stone even tighter. I'm sorry Sai... What are you giong to do when you come out and she's not here? Are you... going to hate me? Just like everyone else? She was still biting her lip, a fang threatening to puncture the skin. This didn't make sense. Meghan had sounded so happy the last time they'd spoken. She'd regained her memories, she said, and she just... she sounded so happy! There was no way she could be gone!
Kaori jumped slightly as Shepard suddenly spoke, and raised her head very slightly again. By now the tears had stopped as she listened to his words, the hope Gordon had just crushed reviving once more. The words 'sitting here crying is not going to help' fell harshly upon her ears. How many times had she told herself that? Yet she still let herself break down... She quickly wiped her eyes and slowly released her legs, letting them hang on the edge of the chair like they were supposed to. Her grip on the stone loosened slightly and she stopped biting her lip, at least for the moment. "Th-then," she began slowly, voice still a little shaky as she faced Shepard. "You should stop complaining and instead focus on resting so you can get out of here."

Shepard just grunted and closed his eyes again. " Well then its settled. When Shepard gets better I'll take you to my home. I promise you it will be fun. And I also promise Sai will be freeded." he said looking at Kaori smiling. He gave her a small thumbs up.
" i think we should leave and let Shepard rest." he said walking torwards the door. Hk stood there and waited. When Gordon beckoned for hijm to come Hk just stood there.
" Statement: No. I will stay here and wait for my master to heal. I will know he will be in a bad mood and I am 90% certain he will let me blast some organic being." Hk-47 said in an almost evil tone. Gordon shrugged and started walking again.

Kaori watched as Shepard lay back down and sighed, closing her eyes for a second a she rubbed at them again. Then he glanced at Gordon as he spoke, smiling faintly at the thumbs up he gave. Since behing here, she'd discovered that to be a positive sign. "Ok..." she said quietly, head slightly bowed as she got up from the chair and moved almost sluggishly towards the door. She was beginning to feel exhausted from the day's events, and she also was starting to feel the signs of a headache.
She frowned, glancing back at the robot as he refused to come. She glared as she heard it speak and bared her fangs slightly. "You better not let anything happen to him," she growled in irritation. She really did not like that thing. She dropped her voice so only Gordon could hear as she followed after him and down the hall. "You really should change that things personality," she sighed. "Have you not realized how frustrating it is? I'd rather just have it be mute." She paused at this idea, picturing it. But then she shivered and pushed it away. "Ah, nevermind..." She suddenly realized that it's words distracted her from being scared of its appearance.
Kaori bowed her head again, still holding the stone tightly in her hand. Gordon had said that as soon as they went to his home, they would free Sai. She was suddenly afraid of the very thoguht. What if he really did hate her? After all, she'd likely killed Meghan, his traveling partner for years. How could he ever forgive her for that? Kaori's eyes shut tightly again as her tail wound around her waist, but she continued moving forward, trailing just after Gordon.

gordon suddenly realized something. He took out the small cube from his pant's pocket. He pressed something it it grew bigger. He reached inside for something. After awhile of digging he pulled out an orange stone. " I know the last thing you want to see is a stone but I heard you where a fire user. If you squeezes this it will break and it will increase your firepower permantly by atleast 10%. I got the same thing for Kai. Just ice version" he said handing it to her and making the box smaller. He smiled at her giving her a wink.
" I got a gift for all my friends here" he said still having that big smile on his face.

Kaori slowly raised her head again to look at him, just in time to see the cube he was holding enlarge itself. She blinked, eyes widening in awe as she stared without meaning to. She leaned forward to see better as he began digging around inside, all the while her fascination growing. Just what was that thing? She blinked as he pulled out a stone, and involuntarily clutched the purple one she held more tightly. But she paused, taking in the explanation he gave slowly. Then she nodded, slowly and carefully accepting it.
She turned it over in her hand several times before looking back at up at him. "Thank you..." she said softly, smiling very slightly. Her eyes flicked back to the box as it shrunk again and she blinked several times, still amazed by it. But at his next words, her eyes went back to him and lingered for a while, just staring.
Very slowly, a real smile spread across her face. He'd... said she was his friend and that was actually a really big deal for her, after spending so long alone. She began to slowly cheer up, just a bit, though dark thoughts still plagued her mind. Ones of guilt, shame, and fear... But she nodded, holding the orange stone carefully to her, along with the purple one. "Thank you very much," she said again, promising herself to get something for him eventually in return.

" So...should we go meet your brother or hang around some place or here?" he asked stopped at a vending machine. He put in a quater and grabbed a soda and slowly drank it. He sat down on a nearby chair and started to think over the events of his training. " Man when I look back on it...I did really hectic traning.." he said to himselg quietly.

Kaori paused, then slowly nodded her head as she watched him get a soda. Honestly, she'd never even seen a vending machine before. It was yet another of the wonderful human inventions. She stared at it for a moment, jumping slightly as the drink dropped down. Of course, she didn't know what it was and was surprised to find that it was in fact a drink. One which Gordon downed without hesitating.
Still watching the machine curiously, she moved over and plopped down beside him on another chair and responded absently. "I think he would expect me to be here," she said quietly. "So our best bet at finding him would be just to wait. Otherwise we might end up searching all over the place." She glanced at the boy as he said something to himself, her ears just faintly picking it up. But she didn't respond and instead looked to the floor.
She gazed fixedly at the two stones she now held, one in each hand, and then sighed quietly. She really was very scared of what would happen once Sai came out, but at the same time didn't even consider just leaving him inside. She'd just have to suck it up and tell him the truth about Meghan, and hope desperately that he wouldn't hate her aftewards.

" Hey..its your not fault she died. Its...its mine...if i had never come here. If I had never brought Mergex with me by mistake...she would still be alive. So stop blaming yourself" he said looking down and squeezing his fist.
" Ever since I was five Mergex has been tailing me. Wherever I went his lackeys are hunters where there..and I even almost lost my whole right arm" he said lifting up his right sleeve to show a big mark where his arm was sown back on. " He's not dead. Mergex is still alive. No way that attack killed him. But he's out there. I can feel it in my bones" he said still squeezing his fists so hard that tiny trickles of blood came out.

Kaori bit her lip hard at the sudden words, her hands clenching more tightly around the stones she held. Why did he randomly bring that up again? And... why was he blaming himself? In her mind it was entirely her fault, and nothing would convice her otherwise. She couldn't forgive herself for it, she couldn't...
She frowned, still biting her lip. "It isn't your fault," she said suddenly, bitterly. "Sora would have been here wether Mergex was or not, because she goes wherever Meghan does. It was just me and Sora. Mergex wasn't even involved right then. I just... killed her, right there without hesitation... And... and why do you keep saying she's dead! Shepard just said she was alive somewhere and that he was sure of it!" Her voice had begun to fade out towards the middle, then suddenly shot back into a shout at the end.
She glared at him suddenly, hearing that Mergex was still alive. "Wh-what? But I thought you said you killed him! ...didn't you? How can he still be alive! Why did you leave when you knew he was?" She leapt to her feet, one hand over her back to clutch the handle of the sword there. "We have to go kill him. Now." She was growling in her throat without realizing it, her tail flicking angrily behind her, harshly to either side.

"Well, that's true," she said softly, knowing, somehow, he could do that. Skylar looked up, seeing they had left the beach. "Kai-chi is strong," she laughed, making up her own honorific, although it didn't make much sense. J'adore lui, mais je ne sais pas... she thought, resting her head once again on his shoulder, so she could still see him. "That was fun, today," she said softly, smiling. "Although it was extremly hectic," she sighed, hoping Koichi would back off.

" No. Your brother is here. Believe me...I thought the blast killed Mergex but no..he's still out there. I know because me and him...are like brothers. Since his father was apart of mine we are almost related. I know he angers you but don't give him the fuel. Train yourself then fight. He is stronger than me and thats why my blast didn't kill him" Gordon said grabbing Kaori's shoulder.
" Your only going to cause more pain the nesscary. While weakened Mergex is at his dangerous. I don't know what he will pull. He has alot more minions than Sora. We need stay back and make a plan."

Kai grinned again, somewhat pleased by the complement about his strength. It showed that his front he was putting up to hide the stinging of his wounds was working perfectly. He glanced back at Skylar once, but otherwise tried to keep looking ahead as they reached the hospital. He blinked, for a moment unsure how he was going to open the door. But then a sudden thought occurred to him and he smirked, turning his back to the door and letting his tail wrap around the handle. With a quick tug, it was open and they were through.
Kaori blinked at how quickly Gordon changed subjects. He'd started with mentioning Kai and then moved on to Mergex again? But she didn't say anything about it and instead refocused so she could take in his words. As Gordon said he and Mergex were like brothers, her eyes widened again in surprise. "Wh-what?" she stammered, though her voice had become faint again. She bowed her head, nodding at the rest of his words.
She knew he was right. The last time she'd charged in recklessly, she'd nearly been blinded in her right eye. She touched it tentatively at the thought and then dropped her gaze back to the floor, once again biting her lip. She nodded slowly as she fingered the orange stone he'd given her. He said it'd raise her power by ten percent, didn't he? She hadn't done it yet because she felt it was sort of like cheating, a way of skipping out on training, but now... now that she knew Mergex was not dead, she felt she could make an exception. She glanced at Gordon, then back towards the stone. Then her hand suddenly clenched tightly, crushing the stone in her grasp. She stared intently at it, waiting for something to happen.
Kai blinked, raising his head and sensing Gordon and Kaori immediately. Gordon was there... did that mean the fight was over? Gordon won? He clenched his teeth as he glanced back at Skylar again, nodding down the hall. "Hang on," he warned and then sprinted forward, still holding her firmly in place on his back. He arrived in time to see Kaori crush a stone in her hand. At first he thought it was the one which held Sai, but then he discovered the shards were orange, not purple. He frowned, turning to Gordon. "What is that?"

Suddenly an orange glow surronded Kaori and it started causing the machines near by to shake. The glow shot up ward and leaving behind all of it energey in Kaori boosting her fire power.
Gordon smiled and turned to Kai. " It just increased her fire powers. Heres yours..only ice" he said smiling throwing a blue stone at kai for him to catch. " Just crush it with your hand and you will feel your powers increase a bit"
