Riku backed away from Hikari once the blade had been driven into her chest and he looked down at his hands in shick. he had done it...actually done it. he looked up at his sister's face. The look crushed him. He stepped forward with his arms out as he attempted to catch her but like the time Kairi had tried to catch Sora...she was gone. He watched the bright spheres float up and into nothingness before looking back at his hands. They were empty. His heart felt empty. He had killed her...
His legs broke automatically, forcing him onto the ground in a broken puddle. His body shook with silent and invisible sobs. He hadn't known it would hurt this much. The locket played, reminding him of her and he grabed it quickly, shutting it and killing the music.

Mickey looked at the bits of light that floated away, then looked down at the locket as it played its soft melody. Walking slowly towards it, he paused when Riku dropped to his knees and grabbed the necklace, closing it to cease the music. Mickey frowned as he watched his friend cried for his lost sister. "Riku....?"

He heard the mouse, but he couldn't say anything. he knew that speaking would bring real tears to his eyes. There had to be someway Riku didn't have to be without his sister. He couldn't think. The silvernette had to get control before he could think. He gained it after awhile... "How...? How do I get...her back?" he hissed, still fighting his own feelings.

Mickey tried to think of any possible ways Hikari could be returned to her original form. He hadn't seen how Kairi was able to bring Sora back when he lost his heart, so he was at a loss. "I don't know," he said sadly. He wouldn't know how to extract hearts from Kingdom Hearts, which obviously didn't help the situation.

Riku curled his fingers around the necklace, putting more pressure on the trinket. He didn't want to break it, just hold onto as much of Hikari as possible and this was it. He didn't want to believe the King's words, not a one, and he glanced up at Naminé. She surely had to know something. She was a part of Kairi. She had her memories...his eyes were pleading.

Naminé Miss Memory Witch 
Naminé's hands remained pressed over her mouth, tears filling her eyes as she watched Hikari's body begin to glow a bright silver. Riku's sister - whom had been lost to him then regained for only so short a time - fell foward, unable to support herself without her heart. Riku automatically went to catch her but Hikari dissapeared before she hit his arms. The scene reminded her of how Sora had done the same thing, except to himself, in order to free Kairi's heart. Kairi had returned... Sora had lost his true form but had become part of the darkness. He hadn't been completely lost.
Naminé watched as Riku's legs were unable to support him, sending the silvernette sprawling to the ground. His body shook though no tears fell from his eyes. The petite blonde approached him and didn't speak a word. Instead, she stayed behind him, wrapping her arms around him and pressing her face against his back. King Mikcey called out Riku's name in concern but the silvernette didn't reply for a while. It was as though he were fighting to keep control. Naminé tightened her embrace on him and when he answered King Mickey, she released the embrace. If Sora hadn't vanished... maybe Hikari hadn't, either. Sora had become part of the realm of Darkness. Perhaps Hikari had, too. There had to be a way to bring Hikari back. Naminé slowly stood up and stepped back from Riku. She would search the Darkness. Every inch of it if she had too. But if Riku knew what she was doing, maybe he'd try to stop her. After all, it was dangerous. But if she could ease Riku's pain... "King Mickey," The peite blonde adressed the mouse, giving a respectful slight bow. "I would like permission to access your Library." The Nobody Witch continued as she straightened up. There had to be records of the Darkness in his library. Something that could help her begin her search, her mission. The mission which she would keep silent and tell no one of her true intention.
The petite blonde heard sounds from outside, surprised cries and shouts of her friends that probably had something to do with Lakayna. And though they'd come here for the dragoness, and Lakayna was Naminé's friend, Riku was the boy she loved. She'd do anything to help him. She just hoped Lakayna would come to understand that. Naminé wasn't deserting her, wasn't abandoning her or any of the others. But to do what she was planning to, it would sure seem like she was.

Mulan kept guard over Lakayna, her sword gleaming in the light of the sun as she moved it around, keeping her grip loose yet firm. If anything happened, she was going to protect Lakayna no matter what. Who know what would happen when the two halves of the statues connected? The answer, ironically, was given to Mulan only moments later. The chinese woman turned just in time to see the statues connect and spew out blue fire which engulfed Lakana in its fiery inferno. Surprised, Mulan nimbly leapt back, her sword pointed at the ground. It would do no good to swipe at the fire.
Suddenly, Axel was there and he summoned his strange looking weapons, standing as close to Lakayna as he could. Sora and Kairi appeared as well, Sora with his Keyblade out. A pressure at the back of her tunic told her Mushu was climbing up onto her shoulder and moments later, her Guardian sat on her shoulder, asking what was going on. "I - I don't know." Mulan replied, her dark eyes still on Lakayna whose form was obscured by the blue fire. "The two halves of the statue connected and it shot out blue fire which surrounded Lakyna..."

Thinking of you, wherever you are. Kairi Princess of Heart Kairi and Sora ran over to Lakayna, their Keyblades still in their hands. Axel and Mulan were with her as well, and the female warrior gave the Dragoness the statue half. Lakayna reached for it and quickly joined it with the other half, making the statue whole again. "Yes! We finally did it!" thought Kairi triumphantly. She watched a little surprised as the places where the statue had been broken melded together as if nothing had happened. But what the statue did next made the crimsonette gasp out loud. The dragon on the statue opened it's mouth, and blue fire sprang forth from it directed right at Lakayna. The fire struck her over her heart then spread about her body until she was completely engulfed in it. "Lakayna!!" Kairi exclaimed. The Princess the suddenly felt a deep pain in her chest and a tears rolled down her eyes. Kairi touched her face then wiped away the tears, confused. Why did she suddenly feel so sad and why was she crying? She then figured out the reason. Her connection with Naminé. Kairi had been so busy fighting and worrying about Lakayna that she hadn't felt the other major emotions Naminé had just felt, but she definitely felt this. Something was very wrong. The red head reached out to her Other with her mind. "Naminé? Naminé what's wrong? What's happened?" the Princess asked worriedly. While Kairi waited for a reply, out of the corner of her eye she saw Mushu appear and run up onto Mulan's shoulder to find out what was going on. Mulan wasn't sure what to tell him. We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

(Axel's gonna have to drop the pack near Lakayna, because this is where she regains her human form. well, most of it. she'll retake the shape of a human, but the blue fire won't fade until she can get dressed.)
Lakayna closed her eyes, holding back tears of fright as hard as she could; though it didn't do much good. She didn't know what was happening, but she heard a voice within her mind. It was serene and gentle, and sounded exactly like her mother had years ago. It was hard to discern what the voice was saying, but it was something like; 'I love you, my child; and will always be here with you.'
The tears of fright soon turned into a different emotion, or rather; a wide array of emotions: joy, sorrow, confusion, among others. The fire completely blotted out Lakayna's shape to the others, yet it grew smaller and smaller as the young girl began to regain her original human form. The dragon attatched to the sword suddenly dissappeared, leaving behind only the sword in its pedistal. The statue hadn't been small either. The sword would've been large enough for a human to wield, and the dragon that'd been grasping it within its claws and tail would've been large as well. Yet, that dragon vanished, and only the sword was left. The base the sword was locked in dissappeared as well, and an inscription slowly appeared on the blade up near the handle.

Mickey scratched the back of his head, unsure of what to do. He then heard Namine's voice, asking him if she could go into his library, most likely to find anything that could possibly bring back Hikari. "Sure, but I've already looked through everything I could on the Realm of Darkness. There has to be some way we can get her back," he said, looking down in thought.
A dark laugh echoed in the Palace hall. "You're not likely to find anything. She has served her purpose to me and has expired like the tool she always was," out of the corner of the room, stood Xemnas. His orange eyes and dark silver hair gleamed in the soft light. "At last with the contribution of her heart, Kingdom Hearts is complete. I admit I almost feared that you wouldn't be so noble as to release your dear sister from her pain. It's astounding how willingly one follows their heart, even if it means obliteration of another," he grinned.
Axel wasn't sure why, but something told him that he knew that the blue flames weren't such a bad thing. Dropping the bag that contained Lakayna's clothes and weapons, he looked at Mulan, Kairi and Sora, nodding for them to back off a bit so that she could finish changing back to her human form.
Sora watched in amazement and slight horror at Lakayna as she seemed to burn, but rather than the fire killing her, it was transforming her back to her human form. While he was relieved that it was all over, he still felt that something was wrong. Turning to Kairi, he noticed that she had been crying. "Kairi? What's wrong?" he asked.

Riku listened between Naminé and Mickey. She wanted to look for Hikari. Why would Naminé want to do that? it didn't matter. Mickey was sure his libraries held no clue to how to retrieve a heart. He was lost in his own thought and busy fighting himself when Xemnas appeared. He looked up at him with the same anger in his eyes that Sora once held when he found Kairi's still body years ago. The silvernette didn't think and let instinct take over as he lunged to his feet and ran at the man while summoning Way to Dawn into his hand. "I'll KILL YOU, b*****d!!!!" he bellowed.

Xemnas easily avoided Riku's attack, though he didn't summon his own weapons. "Have you learned nothing, Riku? We nothings do not truly exist, therefore we cannot die," he said smoothly. He then looked over at Alexander. "The mistakes I have made will soon be corrected, my son. With Kingdom Hearts, we will be restored to our original selves," he said.
Mickey narrowed his eyes when Xemnas spoke then jumped a little in surprise when Riku lunged at the Nobody, only to be avoided. "Stop!" he yelled, sending a beam of light at him, but Xemnas again was too quick.
"Your sister developed her powers well. But I must wonder: Why are you so angry at the loss of her? You have known her for only a day? Surely the heart does not become so quickly and foolishly attached," he asked, looking at Riku.

Riku had no words as he turned and Xemnas spoke to him, only a glare and actions running through his mind. He had no answer for the evil that confronted them and had taken his sister -- no he'd taken his own sister. He knew that. He tried to attack again, thrashing his weapon across Xemnas but every attack failed. Maybe he didn't need Hikari back, maybe he only needed to be with her. Perhaps all he needed to heal his foolish heart was to be with the girl who shared his face. his eyes glanced down at his keyblade, he could do as Sora once had...

Xemnas grinned as it seemed that Riku was questioning himself as to why he was fighting so hard after Hikari disappeared. He then took a step back as swirls of Darkness started to surround him. "I will be where Kingdom Hearts began, where everything will change," he said and then disappeared, the room becoming quiet. As Mickey frowned and put his Keyblade away, he walked over to Riku. "Don't listen to him, Riku. I remember when I talked to Hikari before she went to the Islands. She never wanted to be part of his schemes,"Through all the excitement, it appeared that hardly anyone noticed that a small black cat was sitting near the door, watching silently.

The blue fire formed a hand; or rather, a dragons claw; stretching out and taking hold of the back. The big did not burn, but rather was lifted into the air and pulled towards the human shaped flames. The flames fromed a sort of dome over Lakayna, allowing her to get dressed out of sight of the others. She did so quickly and by the time the girl was dressed, the flames dissappeared. Lakayna was human again, strapping the quiver around her.
The sword from the statue was all that remained, bearing an inscription in an ancient tongue Lakayna couldn't hope to understand. It was a prayer for her, and for her friends. One saying that help is never far away whenever you need it, as long as you believe it will always be there. The young girl crawled to the sword, her body weakened from spending so long as a dragon. She took the handle in her grasp; it feeling so familiar, is if it were crafted specifically for her. Lakayna turned her golden eyes to those who were near: Kairi, Sora, Mulan, Axel.
What they would see on her face would be totally unexpected; a line of swirling scales branching out at different points up the right side of her face. The scales would stay there no matter what now, though why that was would be unknown for now.
Lakayna's eyes widened in surprise in concern. The others there weren't far from her at all, a yard or two maybe. Lakayna could clearly see the tears shining in the sun on Kairi's face, nd she knew something was wrong.
"What happened to her?" she asked, wanting to help in any way possible.
